after DS was born we struggled for 2 very long an painful months (mastitis x 5, thrush, bleeding, cracking, tongue excercises....) then we got the hang of it and have been feeding well ever since (he's now 10mo) until last week, when it really stated to hurt again on one side, it's getting sored, I kinda feel like it's his bottom teeth sticking in - not biting - i think they may just be digging in as he sucks - would this be likely? can I do anything to stop the pain?
TIA

Is he teething? Every new tooth DS got meant a small period of him "grazing" my nipple. It seemed he was getting used to the feel of his new mouth IYKWIM. I would usually take him off and say "No" loudly; if he kept doing it I would close up shop for a little bit wink.gif

Ohhhh I had this happen with my DD1, and yup it was her teeth rubbing on a certain spot...funnily enough it was onlu on one side unsure.gif I went back to the foot ball hold, the change of position for a few feeds gave the graze time to heal (used Lansinoh as well) and then I went back to the regular hold and it seemed fine. It wasn't biting, just the teeth resting and rubbing against a certain spot.
