Just wondering if you can help me out.......
My mum used to make caramel tarts, but she used some sort of biscuit as the tart shell. I know you put the biscuit in the oven to soften and then you mould it. I just need to know what biscuits to use??????
TIA,

I actually went to the shops yesterday to buy the biscuits and i brought 1 packet of ginger snaps ans a packet of butternut snaps to see if they would work. Thanks.

Hi just wondering if you have made them yet, and how they turned out cause I tried last week with the gingernuts and I couldn't get them to mould in the tin when I pushed the centre in the keept splitting.....

So how did you go?????
charlimia
Hi, yep i made them last night, i made a batch of gingernut biscuits and a batch of butternut snaps. The butternut snaps were a lot nicer and they softened a lot easier. The ginger ones needed to be in the oven a bit longer, but i didnt have any that split in the middle, maybe you didnt have them in long enough??
