Thanks for the cake comments girls. It started off a bit of a mess thismorning cos I didn't wait long enough before I put the smarties on and they all started sliding off! Anyway I scraped them off and re-iced a bit and waited longer then put the smarties on. I haven't eaten any but apparantly it was nice. Go the Woolies Home Brand Butter Cake mix! 67cents a packet!!!

Ella's party dress was gorgeous but she got changed later into her comfy dress. Glad I got some pretty pictures in her blue and white dress though.

Ha ha! Dh just sent me a text message from outside saying "Roses are Red Violets are Blue, Haven't told you lately but I love you". How sweet. Then a few minutes later he sends me one that reads "I want 2 pound u"! Classy!!!

Well Dh is currently rocking Hunter in his pram. I am over it. He has been put to bed about 4 times, and he goes to sleep for about 5-10 minutes, then the crying starts.

He has had nurofen and teething relief, and about 50 breastfeeds. Aaarrrggghhhhhh I'm tired and want to go to bed.

Oh and AF definitely arrived today, yay for me

We lost netball today by 3 points. It was so hot and it was a really fast paced game. i ate a big lunch too before I went, which didn't help.

Me - Bloody daylight savings. Lola got up at the new and super doopa revised time of 4.50am (i thought it would happen as she usually gets up between 5.50 and 6.10am). ARGH! So ive got a head cold, DH got home from work as we were getting up (lucky him!). So im trying to stretch her out until at least 8.15, hopefully 8.30am. She is singing (yelling) at the wiggles, so hopefully this will work!!!

Another daylight savings horror hear. Up at 5:30 (which to her was 6:30am!) Pretty good seeing as though she's had a few bad nights but now we have to try and get her back on routine.
Oh and Ella woke with a rash this morning, im guessing its the same and Bridget - a viral infection/rash worsened by the antibiotics, keeping an eye on it and if it gets worse then off to the docs again

Got a question - Lola wont stay in her pram. If we walk down to the shops (which is nearly everyday!) she will stay in the pram for about 20 minutes, then clicks it, chucks a wobbly etc until we get her out. Once she is out there is NO WAY she is getting back in the pram!! DH is ok with it as he is a strapping man (haha) and carrying a 11kg beast is of no issue to him. However, for little ol'me carrying the beast is getting to be a burden, especially while pushing the pram and trying to shop, then walking ten minutes home!!! (I suppose it is a good upper body workout, but lets just pass over that positive!). So she is getting too heavy for the BB Carrier (which we LURVE(d)), we have a katmandu backpack that is GIGANTIC!!! She loves it, DH loves it, me, not so in love with it for small trips (park, shops, shopping centre etc). So Ive been looking and ive come up with two options...ring sling, if i can figure out how to work it (??) or a 'Baby A Gogo Baby Carrier'. Im not that keen on spending another $90 on another carrier when we have the super deluxe katmandu trekker...but i need something that i can pop in my bag, or the pram pocket to whip out in case the child goes mental.
So anyone got any ideas/suggestions???

Just read - YAY Congrats Steph!!!

Jeannie- My girlfriend has an Ergo and LOVES it!! I'm going to HAVE to buy one now!! LOL!! Just got to save my pennies! My friend that bought it is also quite slight and she has a Kathmandu pack too. She finds the Ergo a hell of a lot easier to use as the waist belt really does take most of bubs weight off your shoulders. It's a little tricky to use to start with, but once you know how to get bub in and out it's really easy.

Steph- Yeh i looked at the ergo but i think its out of my price range at the moment. DH would freak if i forked out for that when 'we have all these other carriers' direct quote!

OMG Steph CONGRATULATIONS that is such wonderful news. I am very happy for you!!! What did your DH say ??? So when does that make you due ???

Jeannie I have an Ergo and they truly are brilliant. I use it all the time. It's going to get it's real test in NZ though because I am sure I will be using it alot. The best thing about the ergo is the versatility of postioning. They can be front or back facing and also on your hip. Most of the weight is taken by your hips not your back so you don't get a sore neck at all. It's actually a really good workout LOL I think they are worth every cent and will last all of our kids. Plus when I have a newborn again all I have to do is buy the newborn insert and it will be perfect!! I had the Baby Bjorn active before the Ergo and they are not even comparible!! Good luck

Speaking of rashes: Vienna took FOREVER to go to sleep last night, so then I though I'd change her nappy and she had a MASSIVE poo. She woke up at 4.30 this morning and DH was still up playing civilisation so he gave her her bottle early. Well she just wouldn't stop screaming and arching her back poor little thing. So I eventually got up and changed her. She has such a red bum! It almost looks like it's burnt. I bet it's from her poo last night . Well she was screaming and arching her back like she was trying to get away from the pain. Then I put some moisturiser on her bot (as we couldn't find the nappy cream) and I think that stung worse as she screamed louder. So we wiped that off, found the nappy cream and just lathered her in it. I gave her cuddles for about 30 mins and then DH sat with her and watched TV for about an hour and managed to get her back to sleep. She woke up at her normal time this morning, but cried when I took her nappy off again , so she's having nappy free time ATM. Sorry for th long story but I was just so sad for her to be in so much pain.

Its sooo cold here! Lola is fitting into all her size 1's now! Looks so cute in trackies and hoodies! She has also started being really cute )well more cute!) - yesterday we (me and her) went to wake up DH for footy, and she grabbed his hair and gave him kisses ; she is kissing and waving goodbye, sharing her toys, trying to 'feed' me at meals, yelling out MA/DA when she wants us....shes sooo grown up...
Must get off here and do something...like housework or marking. Cant decide which one will be worse...

Can't believe how many of our May Mummies are up the duff!! I can tell you that I won't be getting up the duff anytime soon that's for sure. With all the stress in my life I just don't need that. I was only saying to DH the other day that I dont' know how I'd cope if we had a second one ATM.

Well I think I have my happy baby back. Oliver was lovely yesterday and again this morning. He even ate some breakfast this morning which he hasn't done for a few weeks.

He still has a phlegmy (sp??) cough which is causing him to vomit. He's had this cough for a few weeks. The GP said to use dimetapp but that isn't working. Does anyone have any recommendations. Over the vomit big time.

I think Cooper and Oliver are very similar in weight and Oliver is in the Toddler ones ATM. He just moved into them. Not sure of the exact name but the are the 10kg-15kg ones.

I was going to make a cake for Oliver's birthday but with my life the way it is I am going to be one who is buying one too. I am cr@p at baking so that will be better for all concerned. LOL

Beck - I would get the toddler size which starts at 10kg, as the 6 - 11kg 'crawler's are quite snug!

Kristi - Poor little V's bottom.... it's so painful for em huh?! Hope it comes good soon.

Kristie - glad Ella is feeling a bit better.... the pics are great! Jack loves being on our bed too... he goes straight for the wrought iron bed head all the time hehe...

Sorry to hear about Vienna's bum. Poor bubba. When Oliver had that bad bout of nappy rash I tried Rhiannon's suggestion of the Corn Starch Powder. It worked so well. Highly recommend it.

Thanks girls for all the info on the sposies, lucky I asked because I was going to get the 6 - 11kg ones THANKS

Dani Cooper had the exact same thing happen after his cold when the phlegm went to his chest. Our GP recommended the Dimetapp also but then after a week or so of it not doing anything I went back to our chemist and recommended the Robotussin EX which actually gets rid of the phlegm from the chest and helps them get it up. Cooper was starting to sound like a cat purring all the time LOL It has worked a treat and he is much better now. He also said that it takes the bubbas ages to get any congestion off their chest because they don't know how so it won't happen overnight, but it will happen

Jeannie - I managed to hold Ella off till 8:30am for her nap too. She normally goes around 9am so close enough. Hopefully in the course of the day we'll get back on track (it may take a few days though) Oh Lola sounds so cute, its great how they can give back affection now isnt it?

Kristi - Poor Vienna Hope her little bot feels better soon

Anni - Have fun having the house to yourself. Its weird when they're not around though dont you think - enjoy yourself though!

Dani - Glad Oliver is feeling better poor little munchkin. IYWYM about not being ready for another bub yet. Dh wants to start trying right now but ive convinced him to wait a few more months. I desperately want another bub but just not this second..
