Us - We had our BBQ at the farm yesterday. It rained on and off, but we were all inside for most of the time. Bailey and his cousin rode their quad bikes in the mud and had a fab time. Boys! Reaghan was a bit cranky as she is rather unwell. This cold/flu is taking a toll on her. I noticed yesterday arvo that one of her ears was leaking fluid, so we came home and I phoned the GP clinic at our hospital and they told me to bring her in last night. The doc said that she has an ear infection. I wouldn't have thought this was possible given that she has grommets in. Anyway, Reaghan has to have drops in her ears 3 times a day, which of course she loves....NOT! When she woke up this morning her other ear is infected too. I am going to keep up with the drops til we see our own GP on Tuesday. Why do my kids always get sick on or around public holidays and school holidays? Bailey has a touch of a cold but is doing ok. DH has taken him to the drive-in tonight to see the new TMNT movie. He was so excited. I am not sure if he will even be able to stay awake long enought to watch it. LOL!

Ok, better run, the floors won't mop themselves.

Been scrapping in front of the TV tonight and have a very sore back for my efforts - but I was trying to do the right thing & not neglect my husband again!! At least we were in the same room tonight - as opposed to the last week or so when I've been in here scrapping & playing on EB while I've left him to watch TV alone - he started dropping hints today so I compromised by scrapping with him!!


We had a good day - did the rounds to drop off easter eggs (& collect ) at nanny & grandad's & then up to see poppy & grandma at the hospital. (he is doing MUCH MUCH better)... Anyway, then came home and had lunch etc etc. Then mum came for lunch & then decided to take Nathan back to the hospital at about 3.30pm for the arvo. He took more chocolate & toys to play with poppy & I went up & picked him up at 6pm. He had a FANTASTIC time (they all did!). And ever since then, every now & then Nathan will come up & pass a cushion to craig to "hold on your chest & cough cause I'm the Dr & your Poppy ok? Lets pretend Dad"...and then a few minutes later "here's your vegetable soup - eat this & then we'll go for a bit of a walk ok?" So cute!!

We've had a pretty quiet weekend - have just been doing lots around the house getting it all nice looking to sell. I think we're having a home open next weekend.

We're seeing my family tomorrow for Easter as everyone was busy today. We gave Laura a fluffy pink duck and a little handbag with a bunny on it. She's been carrying the bag around over her shoulder most of the day. So funny!

Hi all. Tried posting yesterday and some nasty error popped up, and now I can't remember for the life of me what I posted.

Kylie(bubsy)- I can totally relate to what your going through. Is it at all possible you o'd late. I did with this preg by 10days according to my scans, which explains why I didn't get my bfp until somewhere between CD40-45.

Easter was ok here, Daisy loved the easter hunt- and for the first time ever I had a hyper child. She was going nuts last night, from too much choccy I guess. She was rolling around the floor cacking herself at about 8pm last night- it was unreal to watch- should ahve filmed her I guess.

Ok will quickly read the last thread and get miss poppet out of bed before she demands more choccy.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

It was great to catch up with my mum. I think we both needed it iykwim. Mitch was spoilt rotten, but that is Nanna's privilege

We went out for dinner last night, as it is mum's 60th b'day on Wednesday. Had a lovely dinner. Mum's sister and her family came up from Sydney for dinner, which was really nice to catch up with them too.

The only bad spot of the night - at @ 3.30am I was violently ill (sorry for the TMI) Completely redecorated the toilet floor. According to Scott, who had to clean it up, the only surface I did not get was the ceiling So I have been laying on the lounge most of the day feeling like crap. I have started to pick up a bit in the last hour or so, so hopefully whatever I had has gone.

Kylie - here's hoping a comes your way.

Happy Easter Everyone!!! Hope you haven't eaten too much chocolate. I am addicted to those darryl lea nougart eggs. Everyone bought me one and now I have 6!!! Yummo. Once they are gone I have to wait till Christmas for the Christmas version. They should have them all year. Amelia had fun playing with her eggs and baskets and toy bunnies and books on Sunday morning. Lucky for me she thinks eggs are just coloured balls for the moment. She loved the humpty dumpty one because of the pictures and it shakes cause it has smarties inside!!!

Any of the Sydney girls go stir crazy with the rain!!! Too much TV for everyone. If I hear the playschool nursary rhymes DVD again I think I will go insane. Thank goodness today was a better day and we actually went outside!!!



Danielle : Poor you! I had the same thing. I am never sick and all of Saturday I was spewing. Revolting. Lucky nobody else in the family caught it. Was over in 48 hours thank goodness, and lucky really it was a holiday so DH was home to help with Miss.

MOrts : I am impressed with all your cleaning efforts. Am sure your sale will go through quickly! Cute photo of Laura and her bedhead!!

Bubsy : Argggh. Aout the kitchen!! But think of the joy when it is finished!

Exciting news.....Our family is going to turn from 4 to 5!!!!!
Nope I am not PG....We are getting a puppy or two!
Our next door neighbours dogs had puppies last Monday and we went over to see them today. They are pure bred Fox Terriers. Soooo cute. Of course bailey fell in love straight away and wanted one. I said we will have to go home and ask Daddy. Daddy took some convincing but eventually said yes! Bailey is beside himself with excitement. We have talked about getting two, one for Bailey and one for Reaghan. (Like a one year old needs a dog..... ) The puppies won't be ready for another 5 - 6 weeks and Bailey can not understand that. He wants his now!!!!! LOL! He has named his "Buster". Too bad if it is a girl. Anyway, DH has 5 weeks to ensure the rear of our property is doggie proof which involves quite a bit unfortunately. As you know we live on one acre. Oh well, we've got nothing else to do.....yeah right!

Oh just some more exciting and rather important news....we went for a little drive today and saw the new Homemaker Centre that has been built about 10 minutes drive from us.....guess what........WE ARE GETTING A SPOTLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!

I personally have eaten too much. Well not much really, but enough that my psoriosis has flared up again So have to eliminate dairy and anything containing dairy once again

We have been busy over the long weekend, and so i didn't have time to pop in.

DH got me to box yesterday arvo. You know the type where someone holds pads and someone else punches them Anyway, must have done something to my back, because it is really sore. Have this pain shooting down from my left hip into my leg and my lower back is soooo sore. Couldn't sleep well last night because of it.

We have another inspection today. Gosh I can't wait till we own our own home. Hate this invasion of privacy. I know that they have to do it, because there are tenants out there that really trash places, but I am sick of these 3 monthly inspections. Just makes it feel even less like your home iykwim.

Anyway, enough talk from me

Mum gave me a tub of parsley for easter - the old wive's tale is that I'm suppose to get PREGNANT - ROFL - subtle isn't she!!! 4.5kgs lost so hopefully we are closer to getting a BFP in the coming months ... watch this space!

Miss Bree is still asleep in our bed - she gets up with daddy and comes gets cuddles from mummy - I've gotta go get ready for work/Bree to day care.

Been at my parent's place for easter so just catching up now. I hope everyone had a great easter. The kids got too many eggs and want to eat them all day long so i have had to hide them. Very bad for us too having all this choc in the house.

Bel - great weight loss. Well done!

Merz - I hear you on the girl with attitude thing. Emma is really starting to show her true personality. She has loads of spunk and a red hot temper too.

Mel - love the new sig. Gee only 40 days to go. Hope all the organising is going well.

Nadine - hope your skin clears up. I didn't think about choc causing such a rection. I can imagine people looking though your rental as a real pain in the a*se. Having to clean up etc to benefit someone else.

Bubsy - oohh I hope you get that today. Good luck!! Once the new kitchen is in it will be great but what a pain while it is getting done. You will have to live on microwave food and have you got a slow cooker?

Karen - Emma gets the same crazy bed hair as Laura. Her hair is so fine is blows everywhere. Looks cute though. It is nearly long enough over her ears to get it cut into a short bob but i sort of don't want to get it cut as she will lose her baby look and turn into a little girl. It is amazing how a hair cut can age them.

Catherine - those hair ties look great.

Jeanelle - glad that you are feeling a bit better.

Kylie - woo hoo on having a !!

JMC - the kids will love having a puppy. How cute!

We also have gained a family member although hopefully only temporarily. We live next door to a small park and a lady knocked on the door the other day with a turtle she had found in the park asking if it was ours. DH said no but took it as we have a large pond in the back yard full of fish. Only problem is that turtles eat fish. Anyway it is quite large (too big to fit in a 4 litre icecream container). I thought it had disappeared but I saw it this morning. I am going to do a letterbox drop to see if it is someone's pet. If I don't hear I will ring a reptile park or something and see where I can take it.

Hope everyone had a good easter break.My plan for a low key easter was shot out of the water with all my relos giving us tonnes of chocies even thought they know full well we are diabetics and we dont like the kids to have much sweet stuff due to the risk factors..its been hard to keep Charlotte away from it and I am sure she thinks mummy is a meanie for not letting her eat a kilo of choc every day lol. My SIL is a legend and bought her an easter coloring book and magic pens tat only show up on the book and not on the couch etc..she is so thoughtful! and she bought little Lil a little people set. I felt so bad that I only handed her hand painted hard boiled eggs! must make it up to her.

I have started knitting and finding it very soothing..cept when I make a mistake then I chuck a tanty.
Kylie- how ar eu going with the knitting?

Nadine- whoa 3 monthly inspections? when did that start? I suppose my aunt comes in uninvited at least once a week when they are here. But then I dont vare to keep the place spotlees..I did try when we first moved in but if they are gonna look so often..forget it!

No such thing as quiet cuddles with Mummy, like the other two did .

We had quite a good Easter (despite the rain ) My in-laws left last night after a week and I have to say it's nice to have the place to ourselves again. It's not a big house (3 small bedrooms) so we have to turf James out of his room whenever we have guests (which is a lot, with neither of our families in Sydney). Quite an upheaval each time.

I'm looking forward to having some time catching up with friends and their kids over the hols - trips to the park, etc. the kids have a couple of parties to go to this weekend (I'm working which is a shame) then I'm taking them up to Mum and Dad's for a few days away, which will be lovely.

Anyway, I'd better go. More I wanted to say but A's getting grumpy.

How many of our Feb bubs are still having two day sleeps?

Bree slept for 2.5 hours at daycare yesterday - I'm trying to decide whether I would prefer 2 x 1 hours naps (an hour in the morning b4 lunch and an hour in the arvo) or do I bring forward lunch and get 1 big sleep?

Mummy's day off today - will be filled with housework and hopefully a trip to the shops for a new pair of sunnys!!!

Hey Bel - I find the one big sleep in the middle of the day a lot easier. Laura has her lunch about 11.30am then goes to bed and has anywhere from 1-3 hours sleep. I find it easier because you can go out all morning if you need to and just make sure you're home by lunchtime.

Stace - Hope your DS is ok! The poor thing - how painful for him!

My back was sooooo sore yesterday. DH had to come home to help out with Kayla (lifting etc). It's a bit better this morning. Still sore though. Have been taking voltaren and DH rubbed voltaren gel into my back before bed last night. Perhaps that helped a bit.

Kim- Hope your trip to the park went well, and that you tired out those kiddies of yours

Ana- Damn on the chocolate. Nice of your sister to be so thoughtful. We use to paint eggs for easter when I was little. I will be starting that when K is a little older and can help me Oh the inspections have always been quarterly. Just their rule. When we lived doen near cronulla it was every half year. Prob cause it is a better area

Bel- Kayla still has two sleeps but also the occasional one sleep a day. If I were you, I would just go by Bree's tired signs. She will let you know what she wants She is most likely in transition. That is what the nurse told me about Kayla.

For future reference though: My clinic nurse said that they generally go from 2 sleeps to 1 at around 12-15mths, but more around 15mths, some even 18mths. All babies/toddlers are different though.

Daisy is usually a 2 day nap sleeper, drives me nuts if she only has one. I think my others had 2 up until close to 18months old.

Hi guys... can't remember when i posted last, seems like ages!! i've been trying to keep up, but then run out of time to post.

School holidays are almost over here! Hasn't been too bad... today i am concentrating on trying to get Noah TT. have him in training pants today and so far no accidents... i'll let you know how the day goes. I'm trying out this one day training method! I'm tired of wasting $$ on these pullups and also i'm out of them atm!! LOL

EASTER here was great. Needless to say we have over a years supply of chocolate!! but i'm planning on using some of it tomorrow or friday to bake a choc cake. and again in a week or so for DHs birthday. I just have to watch how i ration it out to the kids! Can you believe they didn't get any yesterday!! (that i know of anyway )

Bel - can i say great going on your weightloss!! i've sort of lost it since christmas, but i'm back on a plan as of yesterday (i know great time to start with all the chocolate in the house, but i suppose it will really test my will power). I have only about 5 kgs to get to my absoulte goal, but i've been trying to lose that for months now... but then, i haven't really been exercisnig so i think thats my problem! as i said, i'm making more effort to eat better atm, so thats a start. Keep up the good work!

SLEEPS - penny will sometimes only have one, but occasionally still has two. Depends on the day really. It we go out in the morning and she doesn't have a nap in the pram, generally she will only have one, but like today.. she's sleeping now (since about 10:30), so will probably have about about 2 or 3... i hope haha

Kylie - Sorry to hear about AF Hope you can concenrate on other things now, and maybe it will just happen and suprise you when you least expect it (you know, the old witch going AWOL )

Jillian - aawwwww puppies!! cute! I can't get over that our puppies will turn 7 this year!

Im sorry Ive been a bit absent too. Not sure if I'll be on much the next couple of days either. DH is knocking down the pantry today and we have the Plasterer coming tomorrow now for two days. We also have someone FINALLY do to our ceilings Our next door neighbour has offered I will take pics of all of it and let you know how it goes.

My sis rang last night and she has split from her long term partner. She is wanting to buy him out of they're house so we are going into it with her as an investment. I'm a little apprehensive as its the biggest loan, other than the house loan we've ever had, but my sis is a fantastic business woman and would definately be the last person to rip us off!!! And we are helping her out at the same time Shes coming over tonight to discuss it all

Sooooo glad my sister has gone. OMG it was like having a 40 year old baby here. I love her but she never helps out with anything, just sat on the couch and I had to wait on her. Was great to her and my parents tho. Parents were great, they stayed in the motel around the corner and were very impressed which is good for my parents as they are very fussy esp my Dad. We did so much this weekend which is why I haven't been around.

TJ got so spoilt for Easter and I have alot of chocolate to eat. I won't let her eat everything she got as it is way too much. She cut one of her top teeth on Monday and the other top one is moments away.

KylieBubsy - sorry to hear of the BFN.

Just popping in to say Hi, have worked last 2 days! I have a kerzillion reports to do and am working all day tomorrow again , these extra days are killing me!!

Max of course is not happy as I've been away so much, so his usual BRILLIANT sleeping has gone out of the window (insert very sarcastic smiley) and he has had a few super crappy nights. He did take 3 steps though so is nearly walking properly I think.

Had a pretty boring day today so not much to tell.

Stace - I had my appt with the ob/gyn a few weeks ago and have to go back again towards the end of May. Since I still haven't had AF return yet since giving up BFing, he wanted to give it a couple of months to see if it came back and I could manage to get pregnant in that time. Doesn't look too good so far though. I have to go and have a blood test this weekend to see if I still have Prolactin (the breastfeeding hormone) in my body which could be stopping ovulation so we'll see how that goes.
Had to laugh at your comment about wanting your DS to have a black eye so you could scrap the photos! Ever since I started scrapping I think like that too! Always looking for a good photo opportunity!

Sara - You sound very busy! I hope the new business is going great.

Chantz - How long are you in Perth for when you come over in May? You arrive on the 19th don't you? Glad to hear you had a good time with your family (even if you did have to run around after your sister!)

Kylie Bubsy - I have also stopped doing temps and charting. When I went to the ob/gyn about getting pregnant I told him I was charting and he told me to stop and enjoy my husband for a while! "Stop that bloody charting" were his exact words! I am finding it really difficult to not think about it though.

Not much to report here! Lauren getting up to all sorts of mischief! Honestly, can't take my eye off her for a few seconds and she is up to no good! Still sticking everything in her mouth.....and wait for...wait for....this is really ...she did one of her usual escape tricks out the door into the backyard the other day...and then I saw her sticking something in her mouth!!! DOG POO!!!! Blerkyyyyyy! And when I went to get it out she was going "yum, yum, yum"....

My mother said to me the other day that Lauren was a good eater...and I said "sure is, if she thinks dog poo is yummy she will eat anything!!"..... Aleshya never ever did anything like Lauren thank god...

Interesting your discussion about day sleeps. Lauren dropped down to one sleep a day at 11 months. It has only been since then that she has started consistently sleeping throught the night...so it was probably a good thing that she did.

Karen- just checked out the MSN group as well tonight. Congrats on the new house, really nice! But then I think your old house is great too.

Sarz - hope work eases up for you soon and Max sleeps better for you.

I can't wait until Max sleeps through,life will be much easier as he is sleeping in our bed and waking maybe 4 to 5 x per night I know I will have to wean him very soon as we are heading off to Bangkok in about a month and don't want him to be a nightmare for the IL's to look after!

Anyway, I'm off tomorrow so will try and do some decent personals once I'm back from training and taking the kids out for a much-needed outing.

Ok need some advice please.

My sister was visiting today. And during one of our conversations she mentions that a workmate has been hospitalised with viral meningoccocal (he went in on Monday)

They had NSW health come and check the place. Gave the all clear.

But still my thoughts were "so why the hell did you come here?"

She said not to worry and that she is fine. Has not shown any sypmtoms and wasn't in contact with him. It is spread by direct contact and can't be transmitted through air cons or breathing same air.

Anyway, I am still worried, as you would be. I just wish she would have told me earlier and I would of insisted she stay away.

We have a 1st birthday party to go to on Saturday and a MG lunch on sunday.

Now my question is, would you go to these functions or stay away???

Thanks for all your replies on the naps girls. Yesterday Bree and I were out all morning so she didnt go down til 12 - there I was thinking I'd have 2 - 3 hours of peace - NOPE - 1.5 hours. So guess who was in bed at 6.30 last night, normally 7.30 is bed time!!!

Although that being said she only napped for 45 mins for Grandma and Poppy this afternoon so she's in bed again now - 6.40pm!!

Hmmmm - Im starting at 5am tomorrow so I'm off to get ready for bed!
