Well or is not so good here have had really bad MS lately and i cant keep anything down!
Today is the first time in weeks i actually feel good.
Well i had my first Obstrician appointment last week and all is good.
I have a date for my 12 week scan and it is on the 11th of August, so am looking forward to that.
Also at the moment i have thrush as it seems. ( Sorry for TMI)
I hate it so much i am going to do the natural thing first with the plain yogurt and than if that doesnt work go the chemist. But i hate using creams as i feel i might be hurting baby.
At the moment i have a nice little round tummy looking like i am 4 months pregnant instead of 2 and half lol.
Sorry for no personals have to go over last thread and come back later!
Belly rub to all,
Kylie

Hi DIMarch mummies
Welcome to the newbies.
Suz1 - so sorry to hear your devastating news. Sympathies to you and your family.
Lime - hope everything gets better for you soon - what a horrible scare for you.
Mum-to-2-soon - bad luck about the G/D. Take care of yourself !
Sharyn07 - triplets !!!!! Congratulations. In case you are interested, here is a diary of some triplets born at 26 weeks in Hong Kong. The mum is a journalist by profession and writes really well (there are links to her blog on the page). The story has a happy ending !
http://home.netvigator.com/~tlyons/triplet.htmbubba4us - thanks for doing the list. I will pm you the details requested.
GIO - I used to feel ill after taking Blackmores pregnancy & breastfeeding multivitamins. I swapped brands and felt better, don't know if that will help?
Michelle 970 - we tried DD with the potty seat on the loo over the weekend - not a success. She is still scared of it for some reason, even though she loves climbing up and down the steps. Will give up for a couple of weeks & then try again.
Oakey & all those with scans - congrats.
Kodak - haven't even thought of names, other than an in-tummy nickname (rice bubble). You are very organised.
Karen27 - on "popping out" I hear you.
Nicola67 and all those with morning sickness - not much longer hopefully. I feel queasy most of the time as well, but can't actually throw up. Yuck.

Hi Ladies
Sorry it has been so long since I popped in to catch up. It has been so chaotic with dr appointments and work!!!
Had another appoinment with Amanda (Diabetics Educator at Royal Womens) Thursday and I have since started insulin. It was just once of a night time, but as of today it will be 1 before breakfast, 1 before dinner and then 1 before I go to bed. It isn't as bad as what people seem to think it is. The worst part isn't the needles, it is the drastic change in diet and figuring out what I can and can't have, what makes my sugars increase etc.....
Work has been really stressing me out. I think that may have been why I had a bit of a bleed last week, but it was nothing serious and have had nothing since.
No m/s as such. Feel quesy constantly, but haven't actually vomited. (.Y.)'s get a bit tender every so often, but I don;t notice it until DS decides to climb on me and digs his elbows in or something and that kills.
Welcome to all the newbies and all the best for you pregnancies.
Lime- Hope all goes well with your scan tomorrow and make sure you can pop in ASAP afterwards to give us the good news!!!

All the best and belly rubs to all!!

Karen,
I have also had a miscarriage, before having Owen. If you need to talk feel free to send me a pm.
I know how much it hurts. I wrote my baby a poem and planted a tree in it's memory. I found it helped.
All the best and may you heart heal soon.

Chook3 - I've been to Phuket. Wonderful place. One thing I found helped with the heat was 'Wet Ones'. You can buy they over there but they helped you cool down a bit as the heat can be just a bit unbearable sometimes. Keep plenty of water on hand and have a great holiday you lucky thing!!

Kahli, I just want to say how sorry I am. Im thinking of you so much and think your such a wonderful person to be so warm while your going through so much. I hope your coping well and have supportive people around you. I hope your recovering physically as well after surgery. Please know we are thinking of you so deeply concerned for you. There are some beautiful people in the ttc after ectopic group or ttc after miscarriage also, feel free to pay them a visit as you will find them so supportive of you and you can really talk about your feelings and grief. Im so sorry Kahli.
Lime, You must be very scared after your bleed. I hope its just a bleed that wont harm your baby. We are all hoping only the best outcome for you both. ((hugs)) It has stopped or lightened hasn’t it so hopefully it was a hematoma that bled and isn’t related to the baby. It could be good that the blood is gone really. I had a hematoma present when our son was 6 weeks 2 days and if it had bled and gone the chances are my baby boy would have made it so hopefully that will be your case. I lost my son at 18 weeks gestation because he had a bloodclot behind his placenta so likely the hematoma had the placenta grow over it and it continued to bleed. I hope your situation is good that the blood is gone now and hopefully wont come back, put you feet up and get time off from your doctor. I know saying try not to worry is hopeless, but do concentrate on the fact you had a heartbeat and just think of that. I hope your scan shows a perfectly happy little baby in there doing well. The scan is tomorrow isn’t it. I will be thinking of you hon.
Suzanne Im just so awfully sorry to hear of your loss also, its just so awful to find out the way you did too, I found out about our son the same way, we thought things were going so well we had all the kids there too to find out the sex, not in the room, but waiting outside. Our little boy was 18 weeks gestation at the time. Im so deeply sorry to hear that happened to you. hugs to you at this awful hard time.
KarenV, Im so sorry for your loss of your precious baby, I have posted to you already in the miscarriage forum but want you to know how sorry I am and if you need to talk then feel free.

Jane and Nicola. Im also trying to get our dd out of nappies by the time our baby is born. She pretty much always does poos in the potty and she will use a toilet though when we go away for a few days I tend to take the potty to make things easier for her. She isn’t in pants much though today we have her in them and will try to keep up with that. I will run out of them quicker though because I am putting two pairs on at the same time for added padding due to our just having got new carpet. Our dd is 2 and a half and is going well with wees if I remind her. Hopefully all will be well before March comes.
On the bed department, dd is in a cot still also. I don’t think I will rush her into a bed as our newborn wont need the cot straight away, we will see how we go though, no definite thoughts on that as yet.
I did read if you want to do big changes to do them before baby arrives or they will associate the change with the baby, so maybe we will do it sooner than later, definitely not sure on that yet.
Welcome Kimbo, Im the same too, feel sick mostly when my tummy is empty also. I bet your looking forward so much to your scan! I am having mine when I am one day under 8 weeks. So that’s exactly 2 weeks time.
Shell,(nala) so good to see your hcg levels rise so well. It must have frightened you with the bleed. Your doctor got right onto it which is great though. What a relief for you both.
Katie,(jayndan) I am putting off my scan until just under 8 weeks because I don’t want to see a scan with no heartbeat yet either. (That’s how we found out we had lost our little boy by an ultrasound at 18 weeks gestation and don’t want to see that again) and I know it wont show up too early so am just waiting it out for that reason. It was likely just too early yet for the heartbeat so don’t fret okay. I had a scan with our little boy at 6 weeks and 2 days in the beginning of his pregnancy and we got a heartbeat then about 118 beats per minute which was good. I know I ovulated cd 15 or 16 when we fell pregnant so the scan will be out by two days for us too. That’s why I don’t want to go too early. I don’t need the stress.
Michelle, love your idea about the steps for the toilet. Will look into it. Im not due early March like you, Im on the other end of the scale, due date is the 28th of March although I am having a cesaerean two weeks early so around the 14th or so.
Nicola, I am also going to keep in mind a standing board for the back of our pram. Our dd will be 3 when our baby is born so she wont be too bad, if she gets tired and needs the pram I am going to have my sling in the bottom of the pram and pop our baby in if awake and dd can nap in the pram. All good in theory, lol.
Chook, Congratulations so much on your success with IUI. I have two girls from our ttc group after loss doing that atm and hoping so much that they get their little babies this cycle too. Fantastic news and I am just so happy for you!!!! You must be on cloud nine atm.
Relleh its good you say you don’t know if you trust your dd to stay beside you. It reminds me to use our hand to hand strap with our dd so that she wont get far if she runs off, its like the bracelet thing goes on her wrist and mine too and that will keep her safe. I used to always have one when my now teenagers were toddlers too. It only took one time when she ran off me in a shop and if she had not turned she would have been on the road before I could get to her in time so I went straight back in the shop and immediately bought one after that scare and it just about never came off down the street. Its just not worth the risk with our little ones lives.
Robyn, sorry your gestational diabetes has kicked in so early. I hope your finger is doing well you poor thing. Ow! I am being really good with no lollies etc but not for diabetes though, just trying to be extra healthy eating for our baby. With take-away what about fried rice? Or boiled rice with chicken and vegies? I wonder if people who have diabetes for life have any take away they know of they can eat safely, maybe do a search on google? How about grilled fish at the fish and chip shop? I don’t know so make sure first. Just trying some suggestions for you.
Gio, how about those twin prams that come one behind the other, that’s what I would get if I had twins say, I don’t like the side by side ones either, too much trouble I imagine getting in and out of places and in crowds too. There are some beautiful prams that are tandem now, the back child is higher than the front child and some joggers have ones where the child is lower at the back.
Saying that, I wonder if anyone in our group will have twins.
Sad news that your FIL didn’t listen about diabetes until it was too late for his sight, we know a man who has diabetes too and he isn’t taking it serious enough, half the time the man looks like he will have a heart attack his color is always so bad. I think he still drinks beer too even though it is light, no matter, the damage will be the same. You wish you could just shake them!
Vickois my c/section will be around the time of your due date and my dd will be 3yrs and almost 3 months. We are very similar there, only I have also got teenage children too, they are 15, 13, and 12.
Do you have twins in your family? It seems twins give you worse ms only not always the case but most of the time.
Jessigirl, I don’t need a pram but know the one you have and its gorgeous, was my first choice when ttc also but like you changed my mind. Who ever gets it will love it, the shape is so nice, is it yellow rimmed with classic winnie? If so I know the one.
Sharyn 07 Congratulations, I just read your post on having triplets. It seems such a huge blessing to have you in this group, your our very own special pregnant mum with triplets!!! Your doing well! Fantastic to have you with us. We will love hearing how you grow. Hoping your ms gives you a break and you can eat for three. Will you find out the sex of the babies? Likely you will be getting lots of scans so it might be a little hard to not tell IYKWIM. Its great you have a 16 yr old too. Will come in handy when you need someone to help out and hold/change/feed a baby!
Lowla hi! Im so happy your joining in. It is going to be so lovely getting to know you better. I have my scan in two weeks too!!! Excited mixed with fear! I read somewhere that the cervix can bleed after bedding and sometimes these growths happen during pregnancy and they tend to bleed so its likely it’s the cervix the brown blood came from. Im with you one the baby chant “sticky babies, sticky babies!”
Ameliabarret, I didn’t want to tell others for a very long time either only a good friend asked me outright. I was caught off guard and had to say yes. I am glad she knows only I really want to wait too. We wont be telling our kids until we are very far if possible to hide it that long as me just getting fatter, I already have a belly so we may get away with it. We want to protect them in case. But none of that negative thinking, our bubs is doing just great. Im so proud how well she/he is doing.
Shazzzie, I still think about the ones I have lost daily only I try hard to not get really down IYKWIM as I just need to be positive for this baby in case sadness can somehow affect our little one. I know where your coming from, its all so confusing. I know at the end I will have my big cry for sheer relief but also for all the little lost ones we so dearly loved right from the start. hugs.
Oakey Im so ecstatic about your scan going so well. Fantastic!
Is anyone else taking fabfol? I find they are good so far, folic acid/ vits and mins/ iron
Bubba4us. I live in vic, I find it too hard to say what baby # due to losses, so will leave that one out. I hope to have our baby at Monash Medical Centre Melbourne even though its 4 hrs away from home due to excellent care to high risk mums as I will be a high risk due to our losses. My scan is 15/08/05 and I am predicting a baby girl. Just for fun. (hope your little girl is feeling better by the way)
This really is getting too big already, Im afraid its just going to be impossible to do personals for all of you sorry, I would do it but it wouldn’t be fair to take up the entire thread doing personals. This is what happens when I am only online once a week usually.

Hi there mums and wee bumps. Just thought I'd drop in and tell everyone about our visit to the obstetrician this morning. We got to see the wee (very very wee) one, and it's heartbeat, so I feel much calmer now. Crown rump length was 19mm and the heartrate was 186 bpm, which according to obs is great. Next appointment in 3 1/2 weeks, all going well. Can't wait! The rest of the day was a shocker, with me finding our car in the garage with a flat tire, and no wheel brace to change it, right at the time I had to pick DS up from creche. Needless to say it was not a stress free afternoon, and there was much swearing.
My heart goes out to everyone who has had bad news recently. I can only imagine how you feel, not having been through it myself. My sister lost a baby at 20 weeks, and I saw how grief striken she was. You are all in my thoughts...
Chook3 - I find a supply of plastic bags is very handy when travelling, and a roll of plumbers tape to cover power points etc. Also, a supply of balloons makes instant toys for grumpy children - I always keep a couple in my handbag.
Take care everyone.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that I am doing well. Haven't had the chance to get to the computer for a while and I can't believe how many messages there are.
To all of you who have experienced a loss, my heart goes out to you.
I finally went and had a blood test done on Saturday. I lied to the doctor and said that the Ob needed the test results. Anyway got the result today and it was 171,000. The nurse told me this is on the higher side. Hope to God that is OK. I have no idea what that means. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so I hope the result is what it should be. Does anyone know what the level should be at 9 weeks?
Lots of happy thoughts for you all.

My thoughts go out to those who are experiencing losses.
Welcome to all the newest March Mummies! It will be great to have some company in the latter part of March 2006.
Please forgive me for not keeping up-to-date with our thread. I have tried not to think about “little one” so that I can make it the next 6 weeks without telling anyone else.
Every moment I get upset, I think calm down, every time I am placed in a demanding situation at school, I back away from it. I feel amazingly protective lately. Someone at school even commented that I had taken on a far more “self-preservation” attitude at school lately. And so I should, I thought.
I had an u/s last Friday and everything is alright. A small gestational sac was identified at first, which scared me a lot, but my Dr. assured me that this was alright.
Do you sometimes think that we know a little too much these days?
I mean, DH said that I took a lot of the fun out of conceiving because I knew the best times etc to BD. I argued that I didn’t want to waste his precious time and sperm!
Speaking of telling people, we have some friends who were the first in “A small circle of friends” to get married. I think that they started TTC around Oct 2004. Since then 4 other couples (including us) in this circle of friends have got married & become pregnant almost immediately. How do we tell our friends that have TTC for about 10 months that we are now pregnant? DH says just to tell them as we would everyone else. However, I think that we shouldn’t make a big deal of it. Dilemma….
Lime – I hope your feeling better and that your u/s is perfect.
Happy Fi – Your HCG level sounds great. My sister became worried when her HCG level dropped at 9 weeks. HCG levels max out at about eight weeks of pregnancy and then go to lower. If you do a search in google I’m sure you’ll find some more information.
Take care everyone!

Mums the word - Constipation is a huge issue for me at the moment. The minute I found out we were pregnant I instantly clogged up! I have to be diligent in having my Sultana Bran in the morning and eating lots of fruit and dried apricots. That seems to help the best, and it's natural.

Hi Ladies
KarenV, I don;t know what to say. I don't want to say sorry as I read your other post, but my thoughts are with you at this time.
Lime, Fingers crossed everything is cool this morning. Thinking of you too.
Again, to the newbies.....congrats on your pregnancies and glad you are along for the journey with us here.
Me - I probably won't get on tomorrow as I will be spending most of the day at the hospital. We have the be in there at 10.10 in the morning. I will see the ob, my diabetes educator, a nutritionist and I don't know who else. But it is going to be a long day me thinks.
Feeling pretty good. Quesy, but not much else. Haven't actually been sick. Come close a few times though. Other than that, not much.
DS gives my belly a rub and kiss before he goes to bed of a night, so cute!!!!!!!
9 weeks today. Only 3 more weeks, and it will be the end of the first trimester. I am so excited!!!!
ETA: I think my ticker is a few hours behind. I thought the other day it might have changed after lunch, and I think it does. Can't be bothred going and fixing it up though!!!!!!

hi everyone,
Looks like I'm out. I went for an ultrasound yesterday and the ob didnt think it looked too promising. I had a blood test, and will have another one and if my levels are going down I'll be having a curette tomorrow afternoon. Needless to say, my husband and I are devastated, particularly given it was our first - its scary to think we may have problems again and again.
all the best to you all.

Hey Girls.
Lime - Good luck with your U/S.
Me - I told my boss that I was pregnant today because my morning sickness is really taking hold. I spent the first half an hour at work lying on the bathroom floor (with my jacket underneath me). I seem to come good for ten minute or so and then go back down hill again for an hour or so. My house is a mess as DS has as busy and DH is trying to do it all. I feel a little slack but I am really tired and sick.
I had a dream last night that I was having twins. I am booked in for an ultrasound on 10 August and am going by myself as DH can not get out of work. Imagine if I am told it is twins as I was in my dream, I would pass out.
Anyway, I best get back to work while I have the energy to do so.

Hi everyone. I'd like to join the Due in March group cause I'm having another baby!! I'm due around 26 March. We found out we were pregnant last week and it was a bit of a shock. We are thrilled!! Our son Lachie turns one this Saturday and is a bundle of joy. We can't wait for him to meet his new brother or sister. It's a long way ahead, but I'm hoping to enjoy this pregnancy. We lost our first son Luke during the birth at 39 weeks. My pregnancy with Lachie was pretty hard - filled with worry. Lachie has been our little healer. Having children is such a blessing, even though at times you might not think so!! I just wanted to say hello to everyone and hope that you are all feeling well and are looking forward to the journey ahead. I hope to pop in when I can (which isn't very often these days!!) I look forward to reading about everyone's pregnancies.

Morning Marvellous March Mummies,
Welcome Tanya - this is an ever expanding group! In more ways than one ;p
KarenV - so sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
Lime - thoughts are with you today and can't wait to hear some great news.
US - have a few off days or moments. Its funny how you can be feeling OK and then something comes along and then you don't! Sunday night I was OK and eating tea. TV was on and it was the Guiness Book of Records and there was a story about a woman who eats dirt. That turned my stomach so badly and does even when typing about it. Yesterday I had a craving for a hotdog with cheese and BBQ sauce from Wendy's, but I didn't indulge as I thought it might make me feel bad. Still want one tho' - YUM.
Very happy today as our pram has sold in 4 days and gone to a good friend who will give it a loving home

. I so didn't want to sell it but wasn't going to suit us with #2. But at least I know it will be loved.
Better go, hope all are having a good day

Tanya it just broke my heart reading about Luke. Its so unfair when we lose a baby. I lost mine at 18 weeks gestation, his heart wasnt beating at the ultrasound and my world turned upside down. My poor family went through so much, dh, the kids, it was all too much to bear. This little baby is our healer too. We are hoping so as we had many miscarriages after our son was lost too. I just am so happy to have you here and look forward to getting to know you as your little baby grows. It is scary when your pregnant too isnt it. I just wonder if fear will ever go away during this pregnancy.

Hi everyone,
Lime and Karen I am so sorry for you both you are in my thoughts.
Sorry I haven't been in in a while but have been pretty tired.
Went to the doc yesterday he did a quick u/s couldn't see a heart beat but he said it was too early for his machine to pick it up. But the sac is measuring to six weeks and 4 days so it was perfect. Have had a creamy brown/tan coloured discharge a couple times over the weekend but the doc wasn't worried so I won't be either sorry for the tmi. See him in two weeks but he did do bloods to check level and it is 16000 so he is very happy with that.
Take Care Everyone

Karen and Lime - I just wanted to say I'm sorry for your losses as well. Lime - I understand how you feel about people's insensitive comments. When I lost Luke I couldn't believe the things that people would say - like "at least he didn't live because he would have had brain damage from lack of oxygen" or "God will give you another baby". They just don't understand that another baby will not replace the one you lost and that you have every right to grieve for that baby. I hope that you are both ok and have lots of supportive friends and family to help you.
Mums the Word - thank you for reading Luke's story. I am sorry that you have suffered losses too. It's not fair is it? You think that pregnancy and childbirth is supposed to be natural and easy, but it isn't always so. I hope everything goes well for you this time. I know that I will always worry whenever I am pregnant. The innocence of my first pregnancy is gone - I know what can happen now which makes it hard not to worry. I want to enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible. Lachie certainly keeps me busy, so I'm hoping the times goes quickly. How many other children do you have? It will be great to keep in touch and help each other along!!
I hope everyone else is feeling well and not suffering too much morning sickness yet. I've been feeling a bit queasy when I am hungry and feeling pretty tired (but that's nothing new!!)

Hi,
Doctor told me I have high sugar - probably diabetes. Didn't know you got it at this early stage. I am due 25/03.
Mumto2soon - I read that you have been to the dietician in bne - may I ask what your sugar levels were in your blood tests? Did you have diabetes prior to falling pregnant? My levels were 8.8 then 7.7 the next week. Going to see doc next wednesday.
Had my scan last week and saw heartbeat - placing me at 6 weeks on Saturday. Much relieved after having 3 blood tests with dropping progesterone levels. Talked to someone on the weekend who had same, and her child is 3. I just hope I get through the next 6 weeks. My friend at work is due around the same time. She has her scan on Thursday. It's great to have someone to share it with.

Hi mummies to be
I have a few questions if you can enlighten me..
Many of you mention your doctor taking blood tests to check your pregnancy levels (hormones ???). My blood tests were only for routine items such as rubella etc. Should I be asking for this? I find it strange that I only have my own HPT and the doc preg.urine test to base my 'pregnancy' on. I don't find the local g.p mill to be very helpful at all.....suggestions anyone? They have just sent me off with a referral to a local hospital (if I choose to do this!)and told me to ask my questions to the doc there. Am I expecting a little too much, I don't even know when I should visit the G.P again (apparently obs at hospital only sees you when you have your first ultrasound)???
Some help would be appreciated
Jen:)

I'm due 21 Mar, and when I got a urine test done at the GPs, I asked for all the blood tests to be done and they were happy to do that
I have another question.... if I want fresh juice (from boost juice or somewhere) what is the best combination to have>

Hi Mommies to be
Karen & Lime - my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Jen - I had my first O/B appointment yesterday. I haven't had any scan's or blood test re: pregancy levels either. The only thing that he took yesterday was all my blood tests for rubella and everything. He also listened to my stomach and said I had a good "pregnancy murmur" - which I think made me feel relieved - and I'm now not seeing him again till the end of August (which will make me 13 weeks). My OB told me he wouldn't pick up a heartbeat at 9 weeks. I was going to say to him, but other mothers have heard their babies heartbeat, but I thought no I've got through 9 weeks only another 3 more to go (I had a m/s 3 years ago at 7 weeks so I'm just trying not to get paranoid)
ME - M/S is copeable now, so I'm hoping I'm coming to the last couple of weeks. Talking to my O/B yesterday he has recommended me to have a CVS (due to my age being 36). I will be having that at 12 weeks. It will be an abdominal CVS I was just wondering if any of the mothers-to-be who are in my age bracket have had one or are going to have one could let me know what it's like - just the thought of a needle going through my belly button makes me feel ill.
take care everyone,
Rebecca

Hi girls,
Sorry I have been AWOL lately (although there are so many of us I doubt anyone noticed!)- DD has gone to one sleep a day which makes it harder to log on and also I had really bad m/s last week. The m/s has now gone which I find a bit troublesome (although I am still really tired). I have my ob appt next Monday so I guess I'll find out then.
Suz, KarenV, Stars and Lime, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It just isn't fair.
Nothing much happening here. A few people have asked me if I am pregnant as my stomach is swollen and I have blabbed to a few more people than I would have liked!
I am going to Qld next week so won't be around for a while.
