Hi Girls,

I am starting to plan a Naming Ceremony for the twins and think I would like to have it in a park and then follow it up with a picnic there.
Can anyone suggest any lovely parks in the North or North East area? I am looking for somewhere that has a nice playground for the older kids, toilets, preferably not too close to water and a large amount of flat ground for balls games and such?

Look forward to any suggestions

Thanks

Jo

Hi Jo,

The first one that springs to mind is Fremont Park in Elizabeth Park (Main North Road) .... it has everything you're looking for, plus it's a really gorgeous place .... lots and lots of green grass!

There is water there but depending where you want to sit it shouldn't be a problem! If you're near the playground then the water is a fair distance away original.gif

This place is easy to find for guests who haven't been before!!

Best wishes for the Naming ceremony for the twins!! original.gif

How about Oakden there is a big lake with a playground and lawn area at one end of the suburb but at the other end (near oh cannot think of the new suburb name!!grr used to be northfield ish area but has a grand new development) There is a park with playground, tennis courts, lawn area, toilets and a shelter shed barbecue area.

Civic Park at Modbury has all you need too and only a small lake.

Also Carisbrook on Main Nth Road.

Umm think that's all I can think of.

Good luck

What about Thorndon Park in Athelstone? That used to be lovely, although I haven't been there for a while.

There is also a nice reserve on Main North Rd, between Salisbury and Elizabeth, opposite the Old Spot Hotel.

HOpe you find what you are looking for to make your special day fantastic
