Since I post here, and you all know me lol!! I thought you might like to see my gorgeous 16 year old daughter's formal pictures. I've been so busy the last couple of weeks, with formal preparations, and sick children and me that I've mostly been offline but I had to brag!!! So here she is

actually no, we thought about it - but we were in the shop trying on dresses to see what suited and it was just 'the' dress you know, and so we bought it - I did take up the hem and take it in at the back, and add a finger hook to the hem.

be super organised, don't leave anything till the last minute. Start looking for dresses very early, try and find a place with one off gowns, so you don't have to worry about someone else turning up in the same dress - and don't tell anyone what you bought lol!!

all finished, Amy had mainly assessment pieces as opposed to exams, so she also had this last week off - so 3 weeks of holidays altogether.

Actually pretty much none of the shops offer to take hems up, or if they do, they charge an arm and a leg So I did it myself. Your daughter's kimono sounds divine.

That he was - so that's 1 down. 2 more girls to go - Semi-formal next for Sarah next year, darn lucky I can sew, otherwise keeping girls in formal dresses would break you - start saving your pennies now lol!!
