I remembered this one!

POSH FART!

A woman walks into a shop that sells expensive Persian Rugs.

Looking around, she spots the perfect rug, walks over and inspects it.

As she bends to feel the texture of the rug she farts loudly.

Very embarrassed she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her 'little accident' and hopes a sales person does not pop up right now.

As she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman. "Good day Ma'am, how may we help you today?"

Very uncomfortably she asks, "How much does this rug cost?"

He answers, "Lady if you farted just touching it, you're gonna crap your pants when you hear what the price is."

Yeah new thread!
I am crap at jokes so I won't even bother biggrin.gif I've been having a good chuckle though reading back through the posts.

tiff - when do you test, today or tomorrow?
cherrytomatogal
hi guys, sorry no jokes for me. I've been hiding out and not checking in much lately, since I've been in an entirely different two week wait.

Basically, I went along to my scan last monday, thinking i was 7-8 weeks along, but the scan showed a gestational sac, yolk sac but no baby or heartbeat. The sonographer just merrily said 'too soon - you're only 6 weeks' and told me to go back in two weeks. Later that day we saw the doctor, and got out the calendar. Based on the date that I got my BFP, I should be later than 6 weeks. He had my HCG levels tested to try and learn more. My first result was 25000, which fitted fine with 6 weeks, but the second one was 27365, so it is going up, but not by much. Basically, the doc said that it was inconclusive, so i've gotta wait for my scan. He seems to alternate between being positive and telling me I have a blighted ovum. I'm booked in for the scan on lunchtime on Monday the 10th.

In the meantime I've had such bad m/s etc that I've had to tell my staff at work, and i've decided to tell close family and friends, because I'd rather have them know why I'm all over the place.

I've been trying not to read too much online, because you tend to read the negative and miss the positive, but when I did tune in I saw RoseM's bad news. i'm so sorry sweetie bbighug.gif

I'll be back next week

me - 26
dh - 28
bfp - 29/1/08
no lmp date

good morning Ladies

Well tested to yesterday and got BFP.gif laughing2.gif :dance:didnt really believe it, so i took my stick with me to the doc yesterday and he say yep its BFP.gifddance.gif. We did bloods and will get them back today , they have to be repeated on monday also to ensure that the level is going up.
So I tested thismorning and yep BFP.gif again cclap.gif

I dont know whether to get excited or not yet due to m/c last time. but we have told our parents. We dont care that you should wait till the 12 week mark. at least if we drop off the planet they will know why.

So yeah will hace ti change my sig now. Doc says 3 weeks and 4 days preg and EDD will be 14 november 08. OMG...

will be back tonight to chat more. would love to post my pics of the BFP but dont know how. Can anyone PM me the insructions or tell me where to go.

CONGRATULATIONS TIFF!!! hands.gif hands.gif hands.gif for you that its a sticky!

Cherry, hands.gif that the scan is good news. Hang in there and think positive! Surely the increasing HCGs are a good sign??

How is everyone else doing? Anyone due to test??

Me - I am alternating between excitement and busting to tell everyone....and worried because all nearly all my symptoms have disappeared - no cramps, no hunger pains, no m/s. I know I shouldn't worry, but its pretty hard not to.
RoseMarmalade
Shell - With your symptoms, that can happen... Your MS will kick in, don't worry!! (be careful what you wish for!!) In the meantime, ENJOY this secret with your DH - it won't be long before you tell everyone and then the "advice" will come at you from all directions!!! hahaaha laugh.gif

Here you go hon...

Basically just make sure it's well-done...

Yay Tiff, great news!

I think you just need to stay away from sushi, right? tongue.gif I had German sausages tonight, soooooo good, especially here in the land of the wiener. I miss good sausages. German beer too - during AF so I figured a drink won't hurt. Have decided to have a break from charting this month so am trying to relax.

Hope you enjoy every step of the way Tiff biggrin.gif
Alis Volat Propiis
Tiff it is exciting and kind of surreal at the same time. I know what you mean about worring what to eat. I am not sure what Rose's link was but at the beginning of the pregnancy forum - what month are you due - there is a pinned topic on what you can eat.

The only thing i have been careful about really is pre-prepared salads (not washed properly and can have listeria) undercooked eggs (salmonella) sushi (apparently it is the rice that is the problem! cause it is prepared a day early and sits there cold) and deli meats (ham and things that arent cooked but smoked are a no no) australian soft cheeses are ok if they say on the packet that they are pastuerised.

Enjoy!

IKWYM about the AF symptoms. I think it is down to pelvic congestion and the uterus stretching. I feel like that all the time!

Well done honey!

Up nice and early to take hubby to work, then picking up my mum and dad to take them to the airport, they are off to Turkey for 3 weeks! My dad who is a kiwi has only ever been o/s once since he emigrated to Australia. I couldnt believe it when they told me they were going! NEVER thought he would get on a plane. My mum is in shock!

Have a great days ladies.

Belly rubs and baby dust!

In the meantime, ENJOY this secret with your DH
blush.gif I know I swore I wouldn't tell anyone until 12 weeks, but I've already told 1,2,3,4,5,6...7 people at work already! I had to tell my boss, the CEO and HR straight away, because we have a situation where I'm already having to recruit my replacement. Its a looong story. Then I told two girls I'm close to, one who recently had a bub as I HAVE to be able to talk about these things! But no family until 12 weeks....they would be too emotionally attached if something did go wrong, IYKWIM??

QUOTE
have found myself checking everytime i go to the loo that AF is not here .....
I'm still doing that too!!! laughing2.gif And POAS after a symptom-less day!

Tiff YAY, you're in my Due In group....though I feel a bit like Rose et al did, its pretty crowded in there!!

Re Food - I would have sent you the same place as Rose. I have printed out the coloured chart and pinned it to the fridge. Its almost painful, there's so much you can't eat! I went for a fancy schmancy dinner at the Opera House on Thurs night, and there was only ONE entree I could actually eat. DH thinks I should sue them for being discriminatory to PG women!

Elegie are you in Germany already???
rua
Congrats Tiff!!!!!! so very happy for yiz!!!!

I tested this morning, but no luck sad.gif
no AF yet so very small chance still original.gif
ash9
tiff - I still check EVERY time I wipe whih is a lot atm as I seem to have turned into a total pee machine which gets worse at night so lots of interrupted sleep happening here. Obsessive I know but I tink I have gotten into the routine. Once I have my 12 week scan I'm hoping that I will relax a bit...assuming all is well in the scan.

Telling ppl - We have only told family and one close friend. I haven't told work but we have these 'professional consultation' meetings with the principal next week. Mine is;t until friday so I am going to tell her then. I was going to tell her on the monday the week after so it's only a few days early. Not telling the rest of the staff and friends until after our scan.

Food - Most of the time I don't feel like eating much anyway so it hasn't been a problem. Hot chips and wedges, the occasional milky way (although I am off those now too!), any basic food like lasagne and salad has been ok. Anything mushy like yoghurt has to be forced down sick.gif but I have it because I know its good for me.

WDYT?? - I range a friend to tell her that I couldn't come to her engagement party tonight several weeks ago. I actually told her that I was pregnant and sick and tired etc especially at night time. She was fine about it on the phone but earlier this week I got a FYI email with a poem about realising why people are in your life and why they won't be in your future. I have emailed her but got no response. She isn't one to hold a grudge but I feel like she was making a point, or maybe its just because I feel guilty?

A friend of mine had a little girl yesterday afternoon. They named her Lara. Can't wait to cuddle her sometime this weekend. I'm meant to be going with the above mentioned friend so I guess if she won't come wih me then I get my answer unsure.gif

Sorry for the long ramblings today....
gemmareid77
hi everyone

would love to join this group
my dp and i have been trying for a baby for nearly 3 years, without any luck of course that bit is painful enough but at the moment we are concentrating on our wedding which happens to be on 22 march yes very very close...then after the wedding we will be going to our first fs appointment so hopefully will find out if anything is wrong in the meantime we just try the normal way until we learn any different i guess..

i am from perth, live in canning vale i am 30 my dp is 25

nice to be here and look forward to sharing our ttc jorney together...

hugs gemma
got to change my sig, somehow
Alis Volat Propiis
Welcome Gemma,

It is a lovely group. So nice in fact that those of us who got our BFP's are staying around... nice of the buddy group to let us do that!

Best of luck for your wedding and i hope you have a lovely day. I love weddings.

Sharna
**shell76**
Welcome Gemma!! Are you all prepared for the wedding?

Ash - I know what you mean about yogurt. I've found its much easier to eat if you mix it with something solid - my fave is a vanilla yogurt with frozen blueberries. Leave it 5 mins, then the berries are still cold, but mix nicely through the yogurt. Mmmmm, eating some right now. And even nicer is adding a bit of Carman's museli to the mix. Helps provide....relief!

Sharna, how are you feeling? Any m/s?

Rua, are you overdue? Fingers crossed for you!
ash9
Welcome Gemma biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Welcome Gemma! Best of luck with the wedding, hope it goes beautifully! biggrin.gif

Shell - no not in Germany yet (but I booked our tickets the other day, yay!!!!). We had a german BBQ night at work, as one girl knows a German butcher.

Also booked a couple of days over Easter up north at a hot spring. I know hot baths aren't good for spermies, but it's so nice to sit in a hot hot bath outside while the snow falls down around you! happy.gif and Japanese guys have hot baths every night and they still manage to have children here, so I figure it's ok...

Got the news today that our friends (the ones who suggested the shaking up & down by the legs thing...) had a (second) little girl. Very happy & a bit jealous tongue.gif
gemmareid77
thanks for the kind welcome smile1.gif

i am mostly prepared still stressed out tomorrow is my kitchen tea so been baking and of course eating the samples..
as for the wedding just got to do church book and name tags for tables, and our music for church and what songs we want played at reception etc..
as for ttc. our story is that we have been trying for about 3 years i have tried the ovulations kits, bd ever second day (this gets tiring esp with no results ) and charting my temp, i guess the fs will do tests on me and my dp...bit nervous about the fs aptmnt i hate medical tests etc, needles..

well i am off to bed...long day tomorrow no doubt...

gemma
ozbilby
Congrats Tiff

Welcome Gemma, I too am about to start out with a FS. Our first appt is 30th April but we have heaps of tests to be done before then. I'm not bothered but DH is a bit nervous.
**matilda**
welcome gemma

the girls are lovely in here, nice to be able to talk to other people in the ttc group, and those that have fallen preg, let us know what we can expect when it happens for us.

congrats tiff, big news....

well af arrived again, so back to the drawing board.

tilly
ash9
tilly - sorry to hear AF arrived. The positive is that it's bringing you another day closer to when you'll get a BFP.

oz - what kind of tests do you have to have done?

RM - are you around and how are you feeling?
ozbilby
Matilda Sorry the witch is here.

AshDH has to have a sperm analysis done. I have to have hormone levels done and an internal ultrasound. Then we have our appointment and maybe a laparoscopy.
cherrytomatogal
Had my second ultrasound today. Our baby died cry1.gif cry1.gif

So sorry to hear that Cherry My thoughts are with you bbighug.gif

Oz Hope you get your test results soon!

Welcome Gemma!

Not much to report here... yet again, am certain that I've O'd, but my temps are going down instead of up. If I calculate correctly I should be 3dpo today but my temps are not cooperating at all.
**shell76**
Cherry, I'm so sorry. Hope everything goes OK tonight bbighug.gif

Me - I am starting to really freak out and think I'm not pregnant any more. Everyone around me keeps saying "you'll be fine" "stop worrying", but I can't help it, I just know something is wrong. My symptoms are diminishing, rather than increasing, and I had terrible pains in the lower abdomen last night. So I went for another blood test, to check my HCG levels are still high. Will get the results this afternoon hopefully.
love*being*a*mum
Cherry - Im so sorry hun hhugs.gifhhugs.gifhhugs.gif My thought are with you in this time.

Shell- hold on girl, you may be just lucky that you symptons arnt going to be really strong.hhugs.gif let us know how your HCG test comes back. Im hands.gif for you.

Not much happening at my eny of the woods really. Had my second set of bloods come yesterday and all is looking ok. first scan is booked for April 2nd at 11am. Cant wait!!!!

Take care everyone

baby dust and belly rubs to all !!!!!
ash9
cherry - so sorry to hear cry1.gif

shell - I'm sure the results will be fine. I have moments every single day when I feel worried. I have plenty of symptoms but I still worry myself sick...literally sick.gif
Alis Volat Propiis
Cherry thinking of you today hon.

Shell I get cramps, AF symptoms, and am constantly worring also. You will be ok. It is normal to stress but try to relax abit. I hope your HCG levels are fantastic!

Rose, Rose where are you?

Sorry to hear about AF Tilly, but as was said, one day closer to getting your BFP.

Sorry i dont have personals for everyone but i have been exhausted lately. Working too much and alot of stress going on there too.

Have a few days off now and will catch up then.

Take care,

Sharna
**matilda**
oh cherry, my thoughts are with you and dh at this time, there is nothing i can say that will help you guys thru this, remember, just drop a line when ever you like, we are all here with open ears and heart.

tilly xx

af over now, so going to actually really try this month with the ovulation kits.
RoseMarmalade
Hi All

Sorry for being MIA - I was just too depressed to be online... I wasn't dealing with it too well it seems...

But I think that DH chased me down with the happy stick and I am much better now....

Oh Cherry I really feel for you sweet... hhugs.gif

Welcome Gemma....
leaky
Don't stress Rose... I was fine (well, I thought so) straight after mine, but fast foward a month and I was a mess!

Glad you are feeling better bbighug.gif
RoseMarmalade
Thanks Leaky... Yeah - I was not good at all... But it was really weird because within the space of 5 minutes, it was like a switch was flicked... that probably doesn't make a lot of sense... but that was the difference between depressed and "happier"(not happy mind you)....

Thank you all for all your kind words... It's no wonder no one actually "leaves" the group after getting their BFP!! original.gif Why would you when the ladies here are so supportive???
Amber Loren's Mum
rolleyes.gif Hello. Not sure if i should be in this forum ?? maybe or maybe not. I am embarking on TTC #1. I only just came of the pill 2 weeks ago and trying to prep body, hoping my bodies natural functions remember how to work without prompting. I all new to this stuff and not sure really what to expect but hoping it wont be 2 long for things to take place. Would just love to interact with ppl going through same thing.
