OMG.... I would've... blush.gif if I could just get rid of the most dreadful and really horrible pains... Af arrived in force while I was there... and they said it is norm huh.gif with a cycle after m/c... one actually said I could need a d&C....
ddoh.gif well f**k me... how on the hell did they work that out mad.gif well maybe someone has got a medical degree here in hay... rant.gif after all
buggar me sad.gif so then I had to wait not that much could be done, as I had wasted my/their time, as they inform me, ddoh.gif I will have to go to Griffith... where buggar me I have made the urgent appointment to go unsure.gif
SO.... wacko.gif then 3.5hrs later, they sent me home with panadine forte - which I had already taken.

Hi girls,
Sorry, bit of a me post and sorry for the lack of personals sad.gif

Feeling very sad and distracted today. Could not for the life of me focus on work, and its probably a delayed reaction to AF or maybe being a bit scared of tomorrow. Either way, hopefully it passes soon, and I am excited/nervous about this next step.

We are sending the email off to our families tonight, so that should help tensions a bit too.

Mellie- so sorry for your evil AF. You definately need to see the specialist and in the meantime you should see anyone you can to get some answers (different GP etc). Keep your chin up but now its time to kick some butt and get someone to tell you what is going on biggrin.gif
little angels
hi everyone waves.gif

sorry this is a me post sad.gif
dh took me back to the hospital and dr (quack), again today and we both sat in the surgery all arvo. sad.gif
I finally got some help with my af... I was prescribed Primulot, (which I had anyway here at home, but only 6), then he asks me if I have had it investigated yet... when I told him no as I have appointment as I was hands.gif hoping that af would go before I went there, he rang and tried to get me in sooner.... sad.gif but no go so the gyno and he had big chat about me and he seems to think endo (but isn't sure and is only going on what we are telling him or there is scar tissue that hasn't released and my endometrium is growing around it and not letting my lining shed properly and has caused a polyp..... so I am on 4 a day for 10days and af will come as soon as I stop taking it... but I don't care as that will get me to my gyno appointment and the gyno can go from there original.gif
I will try to keep her away for easter too so I hands.gif that it works shrug.gif cos I dont' wanna be camping again with af cry1.gif
so that is my boring update... I still have af but the cramps have stopped ddance.gif and that is what I needed to get rid of that feeling that someone has shoved their hand up my wougga ( blush.gif sorry gals tmi) and ripping out my guts, after they have blended the insides around first... cry1.gif
oh I just wanted to tell you that I will be offline til next wed... dh is taking me away...for the weekend... ddance.gif I am taking all 3 jobs off - dr's orders as he issued me with a medical cert with some time off... so we are going to my gf's (so I can get a real huggles)

kiwi darling hhugs.gif let us know how you get on tomorrow ph34r.gif I will check in before we go tomorrow arvo.... will be thinking of you hhugs.gif
have a lovely weekend everyone and chat soon hhugs.gif
love*being*a*mum
hi Ladies ,

Just popped in to have a quick ph34r.gif and i saw Markerr's post and just had to post.

Markerr- Please dont get give up. this last cycle for me I was on the meds for 6 days and nothing, then another 5 days and still not good enough although they had moved a bit, so then uped my injections again and still did another 8 days . By then I was like ( AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH Damn Body!!!) However then had the trigger shot and at 11DPO 3 days ago I got my long awaited BFP.gif....
So I really wish you well and I feel that you will be fine.

To al the other ladies . I send you all heaps of Babydust, I know how hard this journey can be and I guess we can only just keep trying because we will be great mums.

Goog luck to all
Babymurk
Millie – hhugs.gif Sorry to hear that you had to go back to the hospital. One good thing is that they have given you something to help. No sure if

Kiwi – hhugs.gif sorry to hear that you had a bad day yesterday. All the best for today.

Tiff – Congratulations on your BFP - hands.gif that it is the start of a good run in this group

As for me – Feeling Ok – have some slight niggles so hands.gif that O is close – My temps are doing a little bit of a roller coaster but hay you get that if I O without meds.

I have my naturopath appointment tonight and feeling really good, I have started the Blackmores Conceive well gold vitamins so not sure if they have anything to do with it. But who knows
~m2ja~
Hello Everyone,

Do you mind if I join your BG ?

A little about me. I have PCOS and I'm doing IVF for PGD reasons. I had a cancelled cycle last week because my body didn't repond very well. Day 7 of FSH I had 7 follies all 5-6mm and of course lots of cysts cry1.gif Now my clinic has put me on a drug to bring on AF (Have not had AF since Jan 15th) then once AF has arrived for a few days ill have a scan to see what these cysts are doing. This will determine if I have another cycle mid April or not. They might make me wait a few months to see what the cysts do.

I see a few of you are doing IVF, have you found any problems responding to the drugs ? I was on 100 of Puregon.

I look forward to getting to know you all a little better.
SmallPotatoes
Hi girls...

Mellie - really hope that the specialist can get you sorted out... you've had enough - more than enough... hands.gif that it gets sorted sooner rather than later!!

Tiff - Congrats on your BFP - well done! original.gif

ttcwpcos - good luck with your shot and Ov

markerr - tiff is right give it a bit more time and it will hopefully work for you like it did for her...

everyone else I hope you are going well!

me... I've spent the last hour at my desk at work in tears... one of hubby friends GFs is now pregnant - they haven't even been together that long and they don't even live together... so that makes 4 people close to us pregnant now... [other 3 are my best friend, and both my SILs]

and hubby just doesn't understand why i get so upset and find it hard to be happy for them... well it's not that i am not happy for them - it just makes me ever sadder for us...

I think the fact that i am hardly sleeping at nights isn't helping with the emotional side of things...

and my BF holy c###... she complains about morning sickness all the time [she's not once actually thrown up and it's only for an hour or 2 in the monring]... and this morning i (and a few other) get an emailed photo saying "I am officially fat" and a picture... which to me looks no different to normal - she's a big girls anyways so she just looks the same for a whole 11 weeks pregnant...

oh and to top it off hubby is refusing to get his SA results even though he could come and get them at my GPs appointment this afternoon....
EDIT: he's finally just agreed to come this afternoon to get them... one thing off my mind at least either way!!

Oh yes I'm off to the GP this arvo for my Metformin repeat... I'm going to ask for a dose increase because the beneficial results I was feeling and seeing have worn off so I think my body has got used to the dose so I think it needs to be a bit higher... have only been on 1000mg and think I need to be on 2000mg...

ugh - sorry if this sounded so ranty - just tired and emotional and had enough... I'm having a real "life sux" day...

ughhhghghgh

Thanks girls I really needed that....

rant over...
kiwibubsreturns
Hi girls,
Well I am officially in love with my FS- he was SO great, hugely understanding and 'got it'!! No questions about going straight to IVF and we started today. On a down reg. cycle that also involves 3 weeks on the pill, so it may be a bit of a slog this cycle! Jabs start in 14 days.

So feeling much better than yesterday and really hopeful this is it for us! The FS said something great, which I thought I would share as I think its relevant to all of us:
"Infertility is not what happens below your chin, although that can be unpleasant, but its what happens in your head that can be the hardest part of treatment. If you can look after your mind, I can look after your body".

I believe this is true for every single one of us, so lets focus on keeping each other positive and hopeful, and the FS's can worry about all the vajay-jay stuff! biggrin.gif

Mrs Cee- Rant all you like honey and I am sorry you had a crappy day wub.gif Other people's joy at being pregnant is the hardest emotion to deal with isn't it, and there is no easy answer. I am so glad your DH is going to get his results and good luck!

m2ja- Welcome to our lovely group! Good luck with AF and sorry, I cant help on the drugs advice just yet, but I am sure one of the other girls can.

Bek- How did your appointment go and what have they suggested?

Tiff- huge congratulations to you and fingers crossed your babydust rubs off on us!!

Mellie- So glad things seem to be slowly sorting themselves out, and you had a positive day with the DRs. I have everything crossed that things go well this cycle for you, and have a lovely weekend away with DH! Good on you for taking some time off to relax and be together!

Anyone heard from Ali? How is everyone else?

Just cooked a MASSIVE lasagne for dinner, as its DH's favourite and he needs a bit of pampering today. Think it has begun to sink in for him, and he is really involved now with reading and asking loading of questions so its nice to be doing this together.
SmallPotatoes
Hi girls...
me again...

thanks for your kind word kiwibubs... much appreciated original.gif

I'm jsut back from the doctor - the 3rd female GP I ahve seen since being diagnosed and each one has a different bl00dy view and treatment plan... it's sooooo frustrating...

I went basically for a metformin repeat and she wouldn't give me one... she thinks i shouldn't be on it because I am not yet under specialist supervision and it can cause birth defects... So not only do I not have a dose increase... I have a dose decrease and have to stop it... and then I have to go and have a GTT - which i agree I should probably have had done already...

My poor body doesn't know what's going on at the best of times let alone being put on drugs and then off drugs...

I said to hubby that I bet the FS puts me back on the metformin!

Anyways she's reccomended I go and see a dietician which I must admit can't hurt... and she reccommended hubby and I go swimming together 3 times a week but he won't do that - he doesn't like swimming... so no great help is he there...

We did however get his SA back and everything is fine...
count VV good
Motility good
Morphology normal but slightly on the low end...
but still pretty damn good original.gif
which is a huge relief!!

Oh and I have to have a pap smear as well [naughty me hasn't had one for 3 years whoops] neither of the other 2 doctors I saw picked this up...

And she did a preg test for good measure - negative as I expected it should be...

On a plus note this doctor isn't a trainee or intern or on rotations, she's one of the associates so even if I don't particularly like her treatment plan view at the moment, at least she isn't going to move on after 3 or 6 months to another practice...

So yes feeling a bit confused about it all...
Just can't wait til this FS appointment and can actually get on the right track...

Cee

hello ladies! Back from Phuket, and wow what a fantastic holiday! It went way too fast, and we had such a lovely time. SIL did make some comments about big belly every now and then, but I just tried to tune out, or went to make myself a cup of tea. But then a funny thing happened. SIL and I both had a dream on the same night that I was PG!! I would have been 3DPO at the time. Wouldn't it be weird and womderful if our dreams came true! For me, this is the first PG dream that I've had. Usually, I dream about getting AF, so hands.gif that this is a good sign.

Kiwi - heehee, you made me laugh when I read that you are in love with your FS. I am too! It's so great when you have such an understanding, patient, and caring dr. I love mine to bits. Good luck with this first cycle of IVF. I hope it's all you need. mmmm lasagne sounds so yummy!

mrscee - hope the weekend will look brighter for you. I understand completely about getting upset about others being pg. It's not that your'e not happy for them. but it's just hard.

Tiff - congrasts on your BFP! well done!

Welcome m2ja!!

Eva - hope your eggies and his spermies get very friendly!!

Hey there Bek. Hope your natropath appt goes well.

Mellie - you poor thing! some time off and lots of huggles sounds like just what you need. I really hope AF and the cramps are all over very soon.

kfid - great news on all your eggies! well done. hope you get lots of blasts!
have a great weekend everyone!
Babystuff

Mrscee vent all u like girl koz its hard to deal with all this! Its hard to deal with other ppl being pregnant and all that! Good on ya for getting other opinions thjo and getting the 'works' done....dunno about met causing birth defects tho thats a first i've heard koz im on 500mg a day...maybe i should stop?!?!

Kiwi how exciting!! I thought u had to wait 8 months in NZ buts o glad u are on the right path....you FS is right with his comment i believe that too hence why i try be as positive as possible original.gif I love my FS and the nurses even more too!!

M2ja sorry i cant answer all your IVF questions, but many ladies can out here i know!! Welcome & goodluck!

Bek hanging to hear how you appt went with naturopath!!! How exciting to be doing something positive !!

Mellie you poor thing....im so glad you are seeking answers as you deserve it! AND your prob on the way to knowing everything you need to know and doing stuff to overcome the issues u go girl!!

As for me well, triggered this am so i O tomorrow....had heaps of EWCM today so veru comforting to see that LOL BD starts tonight and ends Monday just for added measure lol wub.gif im feeling very positive!! ALSO to add to my fantastic mood, i was offered a promotion today and to become a permanent GOVT employee....as i was on contract so im VERY EXCITED!!!!!! original.gif I'm hoping all this good vibes mean i might get my BFP....on top of all that scoring permanency means i scoe maternity leave and benefits YAY!!!

Its funny koz my BF just came back from touring USA and Europe and she knows we are TTC and is the best support and she brought me back a little baby jumpsuit wub.gif saying 'someone who loves me very much has been to New York to bring me this' sooo CUTE i was in tears!! OUR FIRST BABY GOOD!! I am feeling very positive and am hoping to make all you lovely ladies out there positive too! Time to go home and celebrate dev (6).gif have a great weekend everyone!!!!(long one for us in SA YAY!)
SmallPotatoes
ttcwpcos - it was the first i had heard too.. and I think as you are under a FS it will be best for you to go by their advice...

as I said I expect I will be put back on it as soon as I go see the FS...

I think this doctor was just being cautious and thought that it would be something better monitored by the FS I am going to see rather than a GP...

So as long as your FS put you on it/knows you are on it I would not worry! Alot of women take it the whole way through...

Cee original.gif

EDIT: btw congrats on the promotion/job - welcome to the ranks of official public servience.... original.gif

m2ja - welcome to the Buddy Group! They are a lovely bunch of women. For my IVF cycle I was on 150mg of Puregon for around 9 days I think.

mrscee - I can understand your frustration at other people being pg - do they know that you are TTC? I'm sorry but haven't been on metformin so can't give much advice there. I'm glad that DHs results were good.

Tiffany - congratulations on your BFP!!! It is so nice to hear.

Kiwi - I know what you mean about an excellent FS, mine is fantastic, but also very busy. It is good to see that you've started your IVF path, it does tend to go quite slowly, but will all be worth it in the end!

hkgirl - glad you had a fantastic time in Phuket (I'm hugely jealous of course). I'm sure the dream about the BFP was an excellent sign - did you end up telling your SIL about TTC?

ttwpcos - hope that you catch that egg. Congratulations on the promotion. Baby goods are exciting. I am always tempted to buy myself something when I'm buying presents for friends/relatives with babies, but DH stops me. Hopefully I'll be able to go all out soon.

Bek - I hope that O is close for you. The vitamins sound like a good step.

Markerr - the AC thread is really good to provide advice on dosages/responses to injections. Good luck with the next steps.

Mellie - I'm so glad that you've sought further help. I was tempted to get into some 'tough love' and start telling you to get your butt to someone that is actually going to help you and demand that they do something (not that you hadn't probably tried already). Enjoy your break and chat more next week.

Anyway, news from me. We had our EPU on Wed - got 15 eggs, then by Thurs 13 of these had fertilised, today we had 8 good fertilised eggs - 1 to transfer and 7 frozen. The transfer was this morning and went well, was over within 5 mins. So I ended up taking the day off work - there was no way that I could focus for the day. Now I'm officially in the 2WW for the first time in my life. I'm sure it will be a long 2 weeks. However, I will definately test early so may know before Day 14, if AF doesn't arrive. It's an exciting time for DH and myself.

kfid - just a quick one... yes all of them know... especially the BF and she knows I've got PCOS and we're having to see a FS... but still she complains about her PG to me!!

The people with today's news didn't know but they do now...
let's just say that it didn't go down too well with hubby when his mate said "we beat you"...

and my SILs are not too bad about it - they are both pretty supportive...

anyways that's me... glad today is finally almost over...

oh and totally off topic but we went to the movies tonight and saw The Bucket List and it was awesome - can highly recomment it!!

Hi All

Bit of a query...

How long after taking clomid did anyone still feel nauseous? I had my last 50mg tablet 10 days ago. I didnt have any side affects at all whilst taking it, but 2 days ago I have started to feel nauseous all day long. Am I getting delayed effects from the drug or could this be (hopefully) pg symptoms. By the FS tests, I should have O'd Monday or Tuesday just gone. I am a bit confused by all the numbers they keep throwing around, so not really sure. When they have said to have sex, we have.

Anyway, back on topic. I am just wondering what the nauseous is a result of, as with my DS I felt sick from pretty much the exact moment I fell pg (well, within a few days anyway)
original.gif

Thanks for you help ladies...

Hi girls,
Happy Sunday! Fairly quiet weekend for us, with DH at a stag do last night, so I went to visit my parents. Sent the email to close family and friends on Friday, and have had fantastic responses from everyone- no assvice at all, which is amazing!

Feeling good today, but wanting to just get on with it- at least 1.5 weeks until the jabs start! I also told my boss that I am having medical treatment, without the details, so I feel much better that he is in the loop.

Melissa- I only felt nauseous and a bit spaced out around what would be 'O' time, when on Clomid. But it did last for about a week. I felt really weird, but it went away before AF arrived!

Kfid- Your EPU and transfer sound great and its fantastic to have so many frosties! Good luck and I hope your 2ww passes quickly biggrin.gif

Ali- Great to see you back and you sound good. Sorry about the BFN in February and I reckon those boxes of baby things will definately bring you good luck soon! I hope the weekend went ok with the family, and what is next in the plan for you?

ttcwpcos- Yep my FS is a keeper! The waiting list is 8 months here in NZ, but we are paying for this first cycle ourselves because we dont want to wait any more! At $10k a cycle, I am glad the wait is only 8 months to have them done publically! huge congratulations on the new job and also your trigger sound positive!! Fingers and toes crossed!

HKGirl- Welcome back and I Phuket sounded fabulous! I am glad your SIL was semi-ok and things didnt get too difficult! What is the next step for you?

Well, I better be off! Time to watch the end of Grey's and then read my book I think!
SmallPotatoes
Hi ladies,

Kiwi - are you excited about the jabs or nervious or both? Hope they go well... and it's probably good that you'd told your boss about medical goings on - otherwise they get a bit suss and unhelpful if you don't keep them somewhat informed...

Mel - hope the nausea either goes away or is for a good reason *fingers crossed*

Well girls I've decided to give the licorice root extract a go...

I'm on my second day of taking it (CD93 ugh) and have decided today that I will take a total of 3825mg a day spread out over 3 doses... for a total of 5 days...

Will let you know if I get an results from this either positive of negative...

From the article that got me interested in it (posted above) ovulation could possibly take from 2 to 7 days after the last tablet... so will get into the BDing end of this week... and hope that it is closer to 2 days as I am going away for 3 nights next week!! Bad timing and I didn't think of that before I started taking it... at the very worst though it means that I will either not ov and not get AF or even if I do and we miss it I will be at the start of AF when we go to the FS so should be able to start on Clomid straight away *fingers crossed*

So here is my time scale:
Monday (today) - Licorice Day 2
Tue - LD3
Wed - LD4
Thu - LD5
Fri - start BDing woohooo haha
Sat - First possible OV time
Sun - more BDing
Mon - away so will BD that morning before I leave (going to be an early start cause I am leaving at 7.30am!!)
Tue - away
Wed - away
Thu - get back at night - BD !!!!
Fri - Last possible OV - 8 days after last tablet...

Then hopefully comes a 2WW which should mean AF would be due around the time of our FS appointment...

Ok wish me luck girls - this is my last ditch attempt before seeing the FS for the first appointment!!
kiwibubsreturns
Hi girls,
Wow- its quiet in here!

Not much to report today but I am exhausted...probably just need a good sleep!

MrsCee- Good luck with the Licorice Root! Sounds positive and it must feel good to do something active about your mega-AF! Have fun with all the BDing and I hope it works before you have to have the FS appointment hands.gif
I am nervous but also excited about the jabs- they will be sore but its also the only way we can get that BFP, so I am looking forward to them in a weird way!

Hope Monday was kind to all and everyone is feeling positive about things!
SmallPotatoes
Hi again Kiwi,

I understand your feelings about the jabs - good luck with them!

As for me - no mega AF for me - I haven't had a period start for 93 days... so for once in my life I would actually be happy for AF to turn up... but even better if the licorice root works at bringin on OV original.gif

Cee

PS yes it was quiet in here today...

hello ladies!!

Kiwi OMG That sounds soooo exciting moving onto IVF, although the $10k cost is a shocker hey! All worth it in the end!

Kfid goodluck with your 2WW! How exciting!!! I would probably cave in and test before i got BT results lol!

Mrscee goodluck with licorice root....sounds so promising! hands.gif it gives u ur BFP beofre your FS appt!!

Melissa i felt nauseous throughout most of my clomid cycle! It did wonders for my mentality lol but everyone does react differently to it so you never know it could actually be pg nauseous for you!!!!

As for me well 3DPO today and feel very crampy and sore just above pubic bone....like was hard to sleep last night from crampiness and yday my ovaries hurt a bit but uterus sore is not too pleasant!! M2ja – Welcome to the group

Mrscee - hhugs.gif Sorry you where having a bad day – I guess that is one of the great things with the BG is that when DH doesn’t get it you can always vent to us as we all know what you are going through.

Kiwi – That is fantastic news about starting straight away. That is great advise about being positive. I know personally that sometimes I have a lot of negativity and I need to change that into a positive.

HKgirl hands.gif that the dream is a good sign

Eva – Congratulations on your promotion. That is fantastic. You are sounding very positive

The naturopath appointment went well – Given a huge list of what we can and can not eat – So no sugar, white bread, pasta etc. We have also both been given vitamins DH is lucky has his are all tablets and I have to take the lovely herbal mix sick.gif as well as tablets 3 times a day. We have also been told to go onto organic foods. I guess it is all worth it in the end if this will get us our BFP.gif We have another appointment on Thursday where she is going to do something with acupuncture and herbs to me and put Dh on a machine to see what is in body such as mercury. Then the following week I go on the machine and he gets the acupuncture, we have to go see her every week for at least a month and then I am not sure what the frequency is but she said that it will take 3 months for our body to get everything out of our systems. She said that DH makes a new batch every 100/120 days or so. She also said that they healthier DH is then the healthier the baby will be and the chances of mc decline – not sure who true this is. She also gave me some info and I found this a little interesting but it said that if you conceive after cd21 you have a higher chance of mc – Well that wasn’t what I wanted to read as I O around cd19-20 but I guess you can’t believe everything you read.

Well I better get to work – Hope everyone has a great day
hkgirl
hello ladies,

wow bek, that sounds like such a healthy path you're on! I bet you and DH will feel really good having all those vits, herbs and organic food. Makes me feel a bit guilty tho! i'm always trying to be healthy, but fall off the wagon more often than I'd like!

Congrats on the promotion Eva! You're thinking so positive, it's sure to bring you your BFP!! Test date for me is the 17th. this is actually 16DPO, but my dr said to wait if I could as testing too early could show false BFN.

Kfid - no, I didn't tell SIL about TTC, as I didn't really feel like it. Just wanted to relax on our holiday and not think about it. So that's ok. we will probably tell them when we get our BFP.

Kiwi - good luck with the IVF hon! Don't worry about the jabs. They might sting a bit, but you'll soon get used to them. IVF is really expensive here too. It's around $10K aussie$ I haven't looked into public, but I have heard it's pretty brutal.

Good luck with the licquorice root mrscee. Let us know how it goes! ohhh that is so uncalled for to say "we beat you" I would be furious!!

melissa - I didn't feel nauseous on clomid, just headaches and v. moody & b**chy! Hope your nausea is a pg sign!

good to hear from you Ali!

hope everyone has a good day!

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone from SA is going to the Pregnancy, Baby & Childrens expo this weekend? I am not sure if i will go as when i said to my GF at work who is Pregnant she was like - Why would you need/want to go for. So just wondering if anyone else was thinking about going.
kiwibubsreturns
Hi girls,
Feeling a bit bloated and blah today, but happy about where things are heading!

Bek- Your appointment sounded positive and I can fully sympathise with the herbs. Nothing seems to make them taste better but you will be the healthiest girlie in all of Australia! Great that DH is going along with it too, and doing his part in the treatment. Good luck!

ttcwpcos- You subscribe to my trusted philosophy of 'Loads of travel makes everything seem a wee bit better' and I am so jealous about Sydney! How fun and a long weekend sounds fantastic! Have a blast and I hope you get some time for shopping!

Better head off- Dancing with the Stars in on and I LOVE it!!

Goodmorning ladies!

This will be my last post for a while as i will me missing for a few days while in Sydney....

Bek, wont be going to the expo as will be in Sydney biggrin.gif the herbs etc etc sounds fantastic! Does it cost heaps? Maybe i should go to assist with the 10-15 kilos i wanna shed...sad.gif

Kiwi its all worth it in the end! Yes i am def a member of the travelling makes everything better lol.....im hanging for some shopping and funny koz my DH is too which is wierd as he hates shopping lol....it will be a great week of seeing everyone up there, EATING lots (as we are a greek family after all LOL) and seeing everything + shopping lol original.gif

Hk it would be nerve racking being in the 2WW....actually im in the 2WW too LOL (just realised almost hahaha) but i think im more excited about the outcome of your 2WW than mine LOL! Im trying noyt to think about mine so not getting excited original.gif

Hi I*Am*Me,

I'm fairly new to the PCOS but I thought I would jsut ask a quick question before anyone else does...

How on earth can she have a 32 day cycle if she hasn't had a period? If she hasn't had a single period since stopping the depo then she's had something like a 500 + day cycle at this point... A new cycle is only ever started on the first day of a period. There is no other way that a new cycle begins...

Secondly I guess the other question is - what were her periods like before the first baby? Were they regular then? If so then it could just be the depo - can take awhile to wear off... and what were they like after she came off depo to have her DS2? Did she not have them for ages and then get them back regularly before conceiving??

Maybe with the answers to these questions we can help you more?!?!

====================================================

Hi Mellie, thought I would reply to you as well...
I'm not sure what to suggest short of going to see another GP before easter...
Other than the pill I don't know of any other way to stop a period (if I did I would have done someting other than taking the pill back in November for a month)...
Sorry darl - hopefully some of the other girls have useful suggestions!!

Hi ladies,
I just saw this forum and thought I would say Hi and say there is hope. I was found to have PCOS and the FS put me on metformin and 50mg of clomid the first cycle and I didnt O so 2nd cycle 100mg and had the blood test said I didnt O but I must have O'd later than the blood test becasue after 6 weeks waiting for my period I thought I would do a Pregnancy test and to my suprise I got a BFP smile1.gif I now have a beautiful 10 month old baby girl. We are thinking of no.2 but not just yet so I dont know wheather I will be able to fall naturally or not. I have lost 10kgs the last few months and am still breastfeeding and actually got AF last week which was a suprise to me. So maybe if I shed some more kgs we may be able to fall naturally. But I need DD to sleep a bit better at night before we start TTC.

Anyway that turned into a ramble when all I want to do is let you know there is hope smile1.gif

Lisa.

ttcwpcos - the signs sound great and have a terrific time in Sydney!

Melissa - I didn't get nauseous when on Clomid, just awful headaches and hot flushes = no sleep.

Mrscee - let us know how the licorice goes.

Bek - good luck with the naturopath. I've seen a naturopath in the past and she told me things that I would have never have found out otherwise. I had a twitching eye occasionally (I thought it was because I was tired) and she diagnosed me as magnesium deficient!

Kiwi - it's great to hear that things are moving along with IVF. I also love Dancing with the Stars (and well...any reality TV shows really blush.gif ).

Mellie - I'm not sure what to advise other than to find another Dr (which may be difficult where you are).

I am me - Hi - I agree that I'm not sure how the length of a cycle could be determined without AF. Lengthy cycles and no AF are one sign of PCOs, other signs to check for are hair growth and unexplained weight gain (especially around the tummy and under boobs region). I'm not sure if it can be diagnosed by a GP, probably really need a FS to be sure on getting the best advice.

Lisa - Hello and thanks for the positive vibes. I hope that next time around is easier for you.

Hi to everyone else and especially good luck to everyone in the 2WW!!!

As for me, I feel like there is a party going on in my stomach! I'm 9DPO and plan to test on Saturday (if I can hold out until then). I'm not sure if it's the effects of the meds (progesterone), EPU or IBS, but I have lots of stomach pain and a runny bottom sick.gif (sorry if TMI). The pains are making it really hard to get comfortable and sleep. But I'm hoping that at least some symptoms might be a good sign.

Hi All

Ali - It is great to hear from you hands.gif that they are good sings for you and Kfid

Millie - Herbs are going well still not the best tasting but what can you do about that.

Went to the naturopath last night and all went well. Not much more is happening with me. I applied for a new role yesterday and since my friend works there she said that they tried to call me yesterday but i missed the call so hopefully they will call today

Edit - Well girls i think i have gone out in sympathy with you, i too now have an upset stomach
kiwibubsreturns
Hi girls,
Well, jabs start on Wednesday and we are off to the clinic for a lesson or two on how to get them in without hurting! DH is going to be responsible for them, so he will need to take notes!

Had some friends over for dinner last night, including my BF who is almost 6mths pregnant- she is showing now and I must admit its a bit harder to be happy smiley all the time when you can see the bump. The entire conversation revolves around the pregnancy too, so I spent lots of time in the kitchen working on dinner...I am really happy for her but its bloody hard sometimes, as you all know original.gif

So, how is everyone else?

Bek- Your progress sounds great and good luck with the new job! I made the huge mistake of putting my life on hold, for the first 2 years we were TTC, and regret it so much. I passed up so many job opportunities so good on you!!

Mellie- Things sound good with you also, but I reckon the girls are on to something with going back on the pill to keep AF at bay! How long until that GYN appointment?

Ali- Great to see you back! The house is good thanks and we are due to start the front garden in the next few weekends.
Good luck with everything and are you having another FET this cycle?

Kfid- OMG so excited for you! I hope you get your BFP on thr first go at IVF....it would give us all hope and be SO great for you!! Have you tested yet??????

Hello to all the newbies and everyone else- HKGirl, ttcwpcos, Markerr!!

Cant wait for Easter- love Creme Eggs but will have to restrain myself and only get one or two, if my weight keeps going up like it has! Off to the beach next weekend for a nice relaxing time, and to give DH a good chance at getting his injection skills sorted biggrin.gif

Thank you all for the good wishes.

At the moment I'm obsessed with testing. I've used about 4 different brands over the past 3 days! I guess all really depends on how DPO is calculated after IVF, if it is from day of EPU then I'm 11 DPO today, but if calculated from transfer, I'm only 9DPO.

I haven't really had any symptoms other than a weird tummy.

Anyway, I haven't had any lines that you can see without turning the stick around in all different kinds of light. I'm sure with most tests you can find an outline of where the line should be, even if it isn't there - lol biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Yes, I'm going crazy.

I ended up with a really good line this morning on Confirm that is visible but it was not there within the 3 minute mark. I tried with FMU and then checked after 3 mins, no line and went back to bed. When I got up around 2 hours later, there is a very visible line. Not a line that I'm going to trust at the moment anyway.

So I'll keep testing when I buy some more HPTs today in different brands - I'm trying to find the most sensitive! Something should be clear either way in the next few days.

DH and I went out for a nice dinner last night which was good to keep my mind off things.

Will be bbl with personals.

It is very quiet in here - every one must be out in the sun enjoying the weekend.

Anyway, I got my BFP.gif!

I've been testing way too much, but started getting positives yesterday. I wanted to wait until they got darker to say anything, but then I used a digital this morning and the words came up so this was pretty definite.

I thought I'd post my POAS pictures, just so people can have a laugh at how many tests that I did and how hard it was to see if there were lines or not - very faint.

I'm pretty excited, just hoping that things stick now.

I'm so hoping others are going well with their 2WW and get some positive results.

Kfid – Congratulations that is fantastic news, Lets hands.gif that it is the start of a great run of BFP.gif

Millie – Can your Dr / Hospital do anything to keep the cramps at ease??

Kiwi – Sorry to hear that it was hard for you with GF. hands.gif that your BFP.gif isn’t o far away. Good luck with your jabs

My boss said to me the other week. He is a very big believer in the Secret. He said that I should try to do things like I already have a baby, So on Saturday I was running through what I had to do in my mind, I felt silly doing it but I was like need to pick up the twins - Jazz-Lynne and Brock (my favourite names) from mum’s house, need to do x,y,z.

Nothing much to report here, Had a really relaxing weekend, went and brought tiles for our Bathroom, Toilet and Laundry yesterday so that exciting. Slowing getting things ready to start our renovations, DH is drawing up different ideas for the new kitchen (as he is a cabinet maker) and ordering our new appliances. Had a good talk yesterday and we both agree that when we re-carpet the bedrooms that we will start to get one ready for the nursery – very happy that he was keen for this idea.

Anyways better get to work – Hope every one has a good Monday and that Mondayitis stays away

hello ladies!

Kfid - congrtulations!!! biggrin.gif what great news to start the week. I hope some of your baby dust rubs off on all of us!!

Bek - good luck with the reno's. The fun part is planning and buying the stuff. the hard part is actually getting it all done. We had to keep a close eye on the contractors when we had our place done, as sometimes what you had in mind gets miscommunicated along the way... planning for a nursery - how exciting!

Mellie - hope AF goes away so you can enjoy your camping trip!

Kiwi - good luck with your jabs! 1st one can be a bit nerve-wracking. But you and DH will soon get the hang of it. hope your 1st cycle is as successful as kfid!!

As for me, I was supposed to test this morning, but when I went to the locl chemist last night, they had run out of HPT's!! can you beleive it??? So I'll have to go find some today and test tomorrow morning. I'm not feeling to positive, as I don't feel any different from normal. But after hearing kfid's good news. I'm hopeful again!

Hello to everyone else, and have a good short week!

Kfid- That's great news biggrin.gif

I've been watching this forum for a while now, keeping up to date with everyone.

My story is I was told I had PCOS after a year of trying. I was seeing a GP and she said we'll work together for a year and if nothing happens then I'll send you to a FS. So we looked at weight loss. The year was about up and we were about to make our appointment with FS and it happened. I now have a great 8 and a half month old little girl.

We have been trying for about 5 months to have another one and nothing.

I read all your stories and I think I'm being selfish I should be happy with my DD and I am. I just remember how hard the 2 years were when we were trying to have her and the thought of that again upsets me.

I was obsessed with having a baby. For years I just bought things "for when it happened" not thinking it would take so long to happen. With my mum and Sister they just had to be looked at the wrong wat and they would be preg. So I thought I would be the same....

Thank-you for sharing all your stories. I keep you all in my thoughts and love reading all your updates. I hope you don't mind me watching you all and sometimes sharing my story.

Thank-you

Me- 25
DH- 26
DD- 8 months
