Spotted Giraffe
Silver.

I don't know how to make the text all silver though.

Off to find the old thread, be back shortly.
Spotted Giraffe
Can I take bronze too?

Lisa, sorry your chart is up the creek unsure.gif Remember it is not foolproof and your cycle is not over yet. Did you do any ovulation tests and have any positives.

Chrissy, sounds like an emotional and productive Drs visit. At least the dr seems to be very thorough. Hopefully it is not PCOS at all and just your body sorting itself out. My BF has PCOS and just got pregnant through her first IVF attempt. But she told me clomid works for 75% of people (don't quote me on that figure though).

Now, I always had a fear of being infertile, as had really severe PMT pains at different times that no one ever got to the bottom of. I did lots of research and pretty much came to the conclusion that if I had money I could have a baby. There are just so many different forms of assisted conception around nowadays. I acutally think you will be fine, and think it is a great sign that your body held onto your angel baby for as long as it did, as so many people miscarry early on.

Jorgo, there is no news of more tests. Have you restrained or got a BFN?

Kahlia, enjoy your 'lemonades' dev (6).gif AT least you can safely drink and enjoy yourself.

Well, my day was an effort. The anti biotics made me feel sick, but that is probably something to do with having to take them at least 30 minutes before going to bed, but then having to take them every 4 hours. Like I am going to stay up at 2am for 30 minutes. SO will do my own prescribing tonight (just ignore that Chrissy). At least DD is a little better and lasted most of the day in cc before they got me to pick her up. Think I am in for a quiet weekend.
lisacat
booby prize for me

I have only done one OPK and it was negative, I thought I had O'd so didnt try any more. Will do one tomorrow.
BeezMum
Meh! What comes after a booby prize, the wooden spoon?! laughing2.gif
Just came back from dinner (yes it was a late one) and DH surprised me with 2 presents.
1.) a clothes line! eexcite.gif He installed it this evening as I was out AND he got the height right!
2.) a BBT thermometer wub.gif So it's time for me to learn charting 101.

I must have been whinging a fair bit the past week cos he sent me an SMS saying that he hoped I had a good time tonight and he would spoil me the whole weekend to make up for my crappy day (apart from dr also had blood test and I think they punctured my vein cos I have a hard bruise like a golf ball wacko.gif)

Just had to share. cool.gif llove.gif
lisacat
Chrissy - ouch on the vein, i hate blood test at the best of times and am thankful that i have easy veins.
Your DH sounds like a sweety, welcome to the charting club. If you want some help join chart chatter they are good and most of us are in there cool.gif
BeezMum
j99 I don't know very many antibiotics that require you to take every 4 hours AND 30 minutes before lying down... unsure.gif PM me if you like and I can hopefully assist.

lisacat I hope you are feeling a bit better? and that AF hasn't shown her face to you yet?

jorgo hope the open went well

My DH is the best DH in my world. wub.gif I am itching to do laundry but the forecast is for rain today sad.gif Might go and do something romantic like brunch at the lake. llove.gif
jorgo
got another hour till the open
... waiting boredly
and is it bad i had the caramel sauce from a maccas sundae for breakfast?
BeezMum
DOH! I knew I shouldn't have checked this thread. Now I want a sundae! cry1.gif Actually what I want is sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce...where is the drooling icon???

Two weeks ago it was 40 degrees and right now it's 10 degrees wacko.gif I am turning the heating on!
Spotted Giraffe
Jorgo, I have just come back from maccas blush.gif . I only had a frappa (not sure how you spell it wacko.gif ). I use the excuse that they have the only undercover playground in town as justification laugh.gif

Chrissy, your DH sounds like a sweetie. I hope you get a lovely day to do washing, and lunch by the lake sounds lovely.

Lisacat, if you have 40 opk you should be using them! I made the mistake of using them sparingly and did not count for the fact that I might o early or late, so I would recommend using them a few days after AF through to whenever you get a positive.

I am hopeful I o'ed 2 days ago, though my last 2 temps have been taken a bit later than usual, so hard to tell. Plus I don't think I have had the right CM, so will just have to wait and see.
jorgo
yeah the only thing is i didnt go to maccas to get the sundae for breakfast
blush.gif it was left over sauce from last nights treat Dh got me on the way home- he then took me to the pokies down the road for midnight nachos ( yummy) and he proceeded to win 65$
BeezMum
Woohoo for your DH jorgo! I hope you get something nice from the $65! grin.gif I love nachos at the best of times but I think they taste particularly good late at night. ph34r.gif
Spotted Giraffe
Did you sell your house Jorgo?

Chrissy, my inside herbs have started sprouting, but the outside ones aren't doing anything.

Lisa, what grade prac are you teaching?

So have you guys told others that you are ttc and how is it working for you (I sound like Dr Phil laughing2.gif ). First time around I did not tell anyone, but am taking a different approach and telling some friends. It's been quite good able to talk about it, though a few people will ask every few weeks if we are pregnant, probably forgetting each cycle is 4 weeks.
jorgo
nah had 5 more lots thru today
waiting for some paper(ie a contract) to come thru hopefully mondayish

i've just been waiting for it and watching the online entertainment wacko.gif
Spotted Giraffe
Jorgo - sounds like you are having a busy night. Good luck on those contracts.
BeezMum
QUOTE
So have you guys told others that you are ttc and how is it working for you
Nope, but it's not hard for people to work out that we are now TTC our #1, if they knew of our previous pregnancy and subsequent m/c. Thanks to MIL, it's about 10 extra people who know. rant.gif

So did anyone do the earth hour thing yesterday? We didn't really but I did turn off the computer and read a book instead. Unfortunately I fell asleep at 9pm and didn't wake up til 11pm! So I ended up sleeping quite badly last night (shouldn't ever nap in the evening!)

Off to the gym to wake up a bit.
lisacat
Hi all,

J99 - yes im going to start to do that next cycle. im going to do the sperm meets egg method. I didnt use them much this month as I only got them half way through cycle and then I had ppl reading my charts and saying I O'd as of day 16 so didnt think I neeeded to test blush.gif
I am doing this prac in a preschool. My course is for preschool to grade 2. So will do older pracs later in my course.
I told everyone that we were TTC back in november, everyone was really good about it. Noone really comments on it except one of my sisters who is very clueless when it comes to TTC even though she has 3 kids.

Jorgo - hopefully you will sell your house. midnight nachos sounds yummy. Have you seen the new mintslice sundaes at maccas.

Chrissy - I did earth hour in a roundabout way we were at the footy so our lights were off anyway.

AFM - Im on cd32 and no AF yet. FF still cant detect O so ill be testing on wed if no AF by then
BeezMum
ooh lisacat I will be hands.gif and ph34r.gif on Wednesday then. I admit that I had a squizz at your chart, but can't make sense of it. blush.gif I guess I'm a real novice hey!

Mint slice sundaes? ohmy.gif Time to head to Maccas!
Spotted Giraffe
Lisa, I went to maccas on Friday as I could not be bothered making lunch and saw the mint slice stuff advertised. Then went there on Saturday with some girls for coffee. I was all set to have a mint slice milkshake, but they had taken down all the signage and were not available. Ripped off mad.gif

Hoping all goes well on Wednesday for you. I ph34r.gif your chart too pretty much everyday!

Chrissy, I did not do earth hour. Mainly because I was home alone (well DD was in bed) and the idea of sitting by myself in the dark for an hour did not appeal. But must admit I try to be enviro friendly everyday, so did not feel too bad.
-Kahlia-
Hi everyone!!

Please stop talking about ice cream - I really want one!! huh.gif

Hope you have all had a great weekend, mine was busy with SIL hens night Saturday night and yesterday I cleaned the house and went and visiting family - organising brothers wedding ect cool.gif
KatieBal
Hahaha all this talk of ice cream and I was sitting there eating a WHOLE easter bunny blush.gif but I have good reason bloody real estate put our rent up 30 bucks a week not impressed we were having a hard enough time feeding ourselves at the moment let alone another 30 bucks out of pocket so have had a few tears and stuff and lots of confusion of what to do wish we could afford our own place at least we would feel better paying more as its for us not someone else. iykwim.

Sorry for that just pretty low at the moment.

Anyways I only have one more af before we ttc yay (hopefully we can afford it only would have to buy nappies have everything else) but am getting excited started to chart but couldnt be bothered looking at getting some opk's though, anyone find them good?

Oh also excited got Wiggles tickets this morning for me and my sis to take the kids to it was funny I had the biggest adrenalin rush buying them like it was this huge concert well it is for DD anyway.

Goodluck with testing Lisa I will cross everything for you.

Better get going I was looking up jobs so dont want to go back but if its needed.

Katie
BeezMum
Lol j99 so you mean you haven't even tried the mint slice sundae or milkshake yet? tongue.gif (Sorry Kahlia, last mention!)

Kahlia how was the hen's night? It must be wedding season there are just so many at the moment.
QUOTE
But must admit I try to be enviro friendly everyday, so did not feel too bad.
I couldn't agree more j99. I think Earth Hour is a good idea in principle to encourage people to think about the environment but in terms of really making a difference to the environment, I don't think it works!

KatieBal sorry to hear about the rent raise. It does suck at the moment with everything being so expensive. I have definitely noticed that at the supermarket etc. I have had so many friends that have had to leave their homes this year to find another place to rent (either because of price hikes or because their landlord is selling). Hope you find something good for your work.

lisacat still got everything crossed. ph34r.gif
Spotted Giraffe
Katiebel, I just put down an easter bunny 5 minutes ago blush.gif

I hear you on the rent. We knew when moving here rents were mega expensive and thought we could make do with a unit. But if we stay, I want a house for more room, but more for a big yard, but 3 bedroom houses are $600 per week ohmy.gif Just seems like such dead money.

Lisacat, best of luck for testing this week, will have to find your chart to have a sticky.

WAnt2bmum, no I have not had any mint slice maccas and now looks like I am not going to sad.gif

My CM seems to be changing and I think I am about to o. DH is back on Wed, so hoping I can hang on for another day or 2....
KatieBal
laughing2.gif How sad is this first I was eating a bunny yesterday now when I come on here I'm having a milo blush.gif am being very naughty but at least I went to the gym this morning makes me feel a bit better dev (6).gif

Oh my god I wouldnt think the rents would be that expensive over and up there j99. We pay 370 in syd for a 3 bedroom goodsized townhouse with a pretty big yard. But our adjoined nextdoor neighbours are only paying 350 and its exactly the same and same owner try and work that one out rant.gif

Hope DH makes it home in time j99, I know its prob been asked before but may I ask what he does to make him go away all the time?

I so should be doing housework but just dont feel like it. Ok better go do it. sad.gif

Katie
Spotted Giraffe
Katiebal, my DH works with fish, and has to fifo to the farm. Was only meant to be one week a month, but of course they are short staffed yada yada and it seems to be a lot more than that.

We pay $450 for our 3 bedroom townhouse ohmy.gif . It does have 2 living areas and an ensuite, and whilst it might sound glamourous, it really isn't! The kitchen has been done up, but nothing else and it is really dark and dinghy. Though if you want to stay long term in a caravan park you are looking at $300 per week, so where we are is acutally reasonably priced. Might have to move to Sydney for cheap rent. How close are you to the city?

Katiebal, have you started charting? My temps when down a bit, so no o for me yet. AT least DH is back tomorrow. Though I am up to day 21, so will probably be in for a very short luteal phase again.
-Kahlia-
Hi ladies!!

How is everyones day? Nothing happening here, really nice day outside but I am stuck in an office mad.gif .

Wow, rent prices are high everywhre aren't they!! Mackay is expensive because of the coal mining boom west of here. Lucky we got in and brought our land a built a house while prices were still quite reasonable.

Aargh, all this talk of ice cream and chocolate ohmy.gif I have made a rule for myself that I am not allowed any until afer DB's wedding next weekend, I want to have a flat stomach and pimple free face for the day tongue.gif

On the TTC front I think I should O this weekend, I must admit I have been much more relaxed this time for some reason.
KatieBal
I went past my maccas today on the way to swimming and saw a sign for the mint sundae so we still have it here.

j99 We are probably an hour to the city. And for the charting I was only charting cm but have since stopped couldnt be bothered to put it on fertility friend but I do take notice of it myself and noticed the ew last week so round about when I could O. Was going to temp but I am all over the shop with my sleeping and since not putting it on ff decided not to. How exciting we are trying NEXT month yay ddance.gif

Kahlia I was good before I went away on holidays since I got back havent been able to abstain from my chocoholic days and its even worse when you 'have' to eat DD's easter eggs blush.gif

On the DH job fronts what do they all do? Mines a Customs Broker but is looking into joining the Army has always wanted to do it and I have after 6 years agreed. And I was just a Receptionist/admin am looking at doing Tupperware or some type of party plan thing because we really need the money it will more then likely be Tupperware as I am addicted to it at the moment.

Sooooo hungry for dinner but dh left work late so will be getting home later and I just want to eat but like waiting for him.

Best be off DD just tipped her dinner over her tray and pushing it around yay.

Katie
BeezMum
Oh I have so much chocolate. I like it, but couldn't eat it when I was pg. sick.gif I still have chocolate leftover from Christmas! ohmy.gif KatieBal I'm really into Milo, it's so yummy and it's the only way I'll drink enough milk to get my calcium intake.

I'm not sure but those rent prices sound very expensive to me. I am pretty lucky as I lived at home until I got married and never rented anywhere; we scrimped and saved and bought a tiny townhouse when we got engaged and 'upgraded' last year to a pretty large house (esp as we have no children yet). I do really feel sad about how expensive everything is for everyone though sad.gif

j99 hoping O stays away til DH is home. hands.gif Have you started any Vitamin B6 to extend your luteal phase?

Oh Kahlia it was the most perfect day outside today here too! It was one of those gorgeous cold autumn mornings and lovely sunny warm afternoons. *sigh* If only I was not an office worker today!

KatieBal I am completely addicted to Tupperware too. A good friend of mine became a Tupperware consultant and I was her best customer laughing2.gif. I just love the stuff, you should see my pantry! blush.gif Even DH likes it, it appeals to his tidy nature. On the job front, DH is a financial consultant.

That's all from me for now guys. Still no sign of AF and feeling very very down. sad.gif Trying to stay positive and relax and all of that crap but getting p'd off at people who suggest it is all in my mind... rant.gif
Spotted Giraffe
Well I have made it though the week alone and can't wait for DH to be back tomorrow. That means Thursday I can sleep in.

I am up to day 21 on my chart and still no o. But given dd was sick she had some extra breastfeeds at night, so that was probably not good for my cycle.

Katiebal, is there much money to be made in selling tupperware? I am still torn about being back at work. I think it is good for me, I like using by brain, I am so much busier now and it gives me more of an identity, but I still feel a bit guilty about child care thing. And because I am busy now I miss spending time with dd, but if I were home I'm sure I would be bored. Hope it works out for you.

Chrissy, I have started taking the b6, but I'm not sure how long it will take to work. And I have been sick ever since taking it, so I hope it is just a coincidence! I'm seriously considering dropping the morning feed. What to do! ARe people really telling you it is all in your mind that you have not got AF yet? How can people be so unhelpful mad.gif

Kahlia, glad you are having a relaxing cycle. I must admit I got into a bit of a frenzy last week on EB , but I am still having fun with my frenzied behaviour. And going all out on EB means I am less likely to obsess in real lif though!
BeezMum
j99 I have heard really good things about B6 for prolonging luteal phase particularly in BF. I don't know how fast it works but I know that B6 is pretty well absorbed and short acting (it's water soluble so it gets out in your wee) so I would imagine it would start working pretty quickly. But that is just guessing! unsure.gif You could always ask the experts on TTC forum?

Sigh. I know, I can't see how the lack of AF could possibly be in my head, but people keep telling me that if I stop obsessing about it it will be here. Just like if I stop obsessing about being pg I will be? rolleyes.gif
Spotted Giraffe
Thanks Chrissy. I posted in ttc about luteal phases and got some advise re B6 and also did a quick post in the defective cycles buddy group (didn't know whether to be happy or offended when someone suggest I go there. Must be a nicer word than defective sad.gif ). I acutally think part of the reason my chart is strange this month is due to the mastitis, so will just wait and see.

So people think you should stop thinking about it wacko.gif Don't they understand that when you are ttc that is all that you seem to think about grin.gif
BeezMum
j99 I am laughing2.gif at your response to the suggestion to post in 'defective cycles' buddy group, poor chicken. They should really come up with a better name!

Actually you make a good point about mastitis possibly affecting your chart. When you have an infection wouldn't your temp be affected? Esp if you are taking any Panadol or Nurofen etc.

Lisacat - ph34r.gif
lisacat
HI all,

I get paid today so guess who is going to maccas dev (6).gif

Chrissy - Why do people think if we stop thinking about things it will just happen. So not true, not in TTC, getting a partner or money, if we want things to happen we have to go and get it.

Katiebal - Glad that you are TTC as of next cycle. I hear you about the whole choc thing. I dont need kids its called discounted eggs blush.gif

J99 - Sorry cant help with B6 dont know anything about it or extended LP.

I live in a 2 bedroom townhouse in canberra and we pay $255 a week, we are lucky we got into this place before prices went up (4 yrs) and havnt had an increase yet.
DH is a personal carer he goes to peoples houses and helps disabled and aged to take care of themselves.

I did a test today BFN, didnt really suprise me. Dont know whats going on with my cycles, temps have ben going up the last 2 days, no AF and this is the longest cycle ive had.
-Kahlia-
Hi ladies waves.gif

Lisacat - Sorry about the BFN, why is everyones cycles so crazy at the moment wacko.gif Oh and think of me when you are at maccas - I hate the food but love the ice cream!! Is it true its not good to have maccas ice cream during pregnancy?

Chrissy - Beleive me, its not in your head!! laughing2.gif Some people just don't understand do they....

J99 - I really hope you can get some questions answered.

Hi to everyone else!!
Spotted Giraffe
Lisacat, sorry about BFN sad.gif Off to check your chart now.

Kahlia, I agree about everyone's cycles going nuts. I'm sure when I am not charting there is not a problem!
lisacat
Thanks guys. Im kind of bummed this month, I really wanted it this month but I guess its not over yet.

I had the mint slice sundae wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif I have found my new addiction, they have sundae, Mcflurry, and shake. Im hoping they bring out tim tam one next dev (6).gif
Kahlia - Im the same not too keen on the food in general but love the desserts. Yes its true your not meant to have soft serve icecream whilst pg.
BeezMum
aww lisacat! sad.gif Don't worry it's not over til it's over. hands.gif

I am soooooo jealous. I don't think there is mint slice sundae in Melbourne! sad.gif I just ate an easter egg cos I'm sad. laughing2.gif

Think I might have to go and eat all the soft serve I can possibly hold now, whilst I'm not pg. If only they would make a MALTESER sundae. Ronald, are you listening?! cool.gif laughing2.gif

Me thinks it's high time we got 1.) more TTCing girls in here and 2.) more BFP.gifs!

...but especially the latter. Who's next? (Lisacat, I'm still gunning for you). Jorgo what's going on? ph34r.gif
jorgo
nothing mad.gif
as of tomorrow i'm taking my tablets
which should generate o around our aniversary
so
anyhow thats kinda the plan what you think?

eta smilies that work LOL
BeezMum
ooh jorgo, anniversary conception sounds good. hands.gif
-Kahlia-
Really hope someone gets BFP soon!!

I am on cd 14, should O any time now so just bd every 2nd day and let nature do its thing.

BBL
Spotted Giraffe
Chrissy, I agree. BFP definately needed. And do you want to be our recruitment officer cool.gif

Jorgo, anniversary conception sounds lovely! How do you pills work? I figure they bring on AF, but goes that also mean that you o a certain number of days after the pills?

Kahlia, good luck catching the egg.

Lisa, sorry no BFP sad.gif . I hope AF stays away. You are still in with a chance.

Now I have a thermometre question. Do you clean yours everyday and if so how. I am so sick of getting sore throats, so maybe wondering if it might be from not cleaning my thermometre ( sick.gif I know, but I just never really thought about it before). It is a digital one, so not sure if I can stick the tip in boiling water?
lisacat
Hi all,

Still no AF yet so hoping that is a good sign hands.gif

J99 - I clean my thermometer every day I just give it a wipe with a damp face cloth and leave to dry.

Jorgo - wub.gif an aniversary conception sounds so romantic
jorgo
QUOTE

they're kinda dual purpose tabs J99
they either stop consistent never ending heavy bleeds by taking them
orif you havnt had a bleed take them for 10 days and by stopping them about 4-10 days after you get AF

and i am only vaguely guessing on an O date- if i O
i'm guessing O cd15-20 based on the plan - but my body doesnt do 'plans' so shrug.gif
BeezMum
j99 dunno about being recruitment officer but definitely interested in talking to more TTCing girls. Where are they all hiding? This group used to be enormous before everyone got their BFPs and moved to the graduates group!

Re thermometer; it's best to be cleaned with a little water/soap each day. If you don't want to do that you can buy a pack of alcohol swabs to wipe the tip clean after use (alcohol kills viruses that cause sore throats). Alternatively you can stick it in a little glass with an inch or so of listerine in it (change the listerine at least a couple of times a week). Don't leave listerine lying around if you have inquisitive little kids though, some of that stuff looks like it might be nice to drink! ohmy.gif

hands.gif lisacat. Send AF this way instead.

Kahlia
good luck chasing the eggie

Jorgo
I might need to borrow some AF pills sad.gif
lisacat
I just wanted to let you know that Ali set up a new thread in the sperm meets egg plan buddy group if anyone wants to come join
Spotted Giraffe
Jorgo, thanks for the explanation. Isn't it amazing how complicated ttc becomes!

Chrissy, I'm not sure there are that many people in the grad group? I think we lost a lot of people along the way. And maybe people don't think they can join an existing buddy group. Can we advertise in the ttc section for new members?

Thanks for the cleaning thermometer tips - feel like such a slacker for not thinking of it earlier. Hopefully no more sore throats for me! Once I am in a routine it is fine, but poor dd went a few weeks before I got in the teeth cleaning and washing hands before meals routine, as I would just forget wacko.gif
Stacymoo
Hi ladies. I just saw lisacat's post in the TTC forum about welcoming new members so I am wondering if I can join you girls. blush.gif

I am not sure what 'Jumping the Gun' implies huh.gif but I am so far doing everything except taking my temp. We have been TTC #2 since Sept but I only gave up b/f last month & AF has been very erratic since she returned when DS was 6 months old. I really think the b/f wasn't helping so I am hoping now that I have stopped my cycle will return to 32 days which is what it used to be. I am using Maybe Baby, which is not making much sense these days wacko.gif , tracking CM, pains etc & just purchased OPK's last week to start using. I think I am 7dpo, if I even O this month biggrin.gif .

Anyway last cycle went to 43 days so not really sure when to expect AF this month. Our 4th wedding anniversary is on the 11th so I may test then as that is roughly when AF would be due if I go back to 32 days. OH & I am also taking Blackmore's Conceive Well Gold....anything to help.

Hope I can share this journey with you girls. biggrin.gif
Spotted Giraffe
Thanks Lisacat! Do you think I should edit my posts incase people think I am an unhygienic idiot laughing2.gif laugh.gif

Welcome Staceymoo and of course you can join. Our group started in the ttc section when we all planned on conceiving in Jan this year, but many members 'jumped the gun'. There is still 'jumping the gun' going on with people doing home pregnancy tests before they say they will!

I am very keen on your journey and charting. I am still BF my DD twice a day, and contemplating dropping another feed at the moment. I started charting and the first chart looked pretty good, though I had a short luteal phase. However this chart is up the creek. I am on day 23 with no sign of o.

Welcome original.gif
kee
Hi again lisacat .... and all the lovely ladies here. I saw the warm and welcoming invite on the TTC thread so thought I would pop over and say Hi!

I am on cycle day .... ummmm ..... (having a relaxed cycle, will have to look it up!) .... 18 ... 7dpo I think wacko.gif DH and I tried going by the lunar fertility chart this cycle as nothing else seems to have worked and it's by far not the weirdest thing I have done in order to conceive!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all and will do my best to read back in this thread to fill myself in on some of what I have been missing.

And to lisacat: thanks for the encouragement and the link to that site - I've lost 2kgs this week!
