Welcome to all the newbies and i hope your stay is short and sweet!

As for me BFN sad.gif did a pg test at 14DPO and in certain light it looked + but it could have still been the HCG in my system as that night i started spotting and then got AF full force 15DPO.....all good though onto next cycle! butterfly - I used OPKS (spent way too much money on them) and they didn't work for me with PCOS - they always came up positive! It didn't matter where my cycle was up to. I got positives for 10 days in a row (and they were definite positive because I checked with DH and my best friend). My FS supported that OPKs were unlikely to work with PCOS, but it might depend on severity. You could always try a small pack from the supermarket (I used Confirm which you buy in a pack with HPTs).
BeezMum
butterfly-lee I had +ve OPK the day before I thought I O'd in the cycle that I got pregnant, however, that was BEFORE I had PCOS. I have bought some more for this cycle and am trying them now, and they are negative (test line is faint, that counts as negative yes?). When people say that OPKs don't work for PCOS, do they mean that the OPKs are always positive, or always negative? unsure.gif

ttcwpcos So sorry to hear about your possible BFP followed by AF. sad.gif I hope that your FS appt goes well. Hopefully you will get a BFP before you get to July. hhugs.gif

Oh and I used internet cheapies both last cycle (that was +OPK) and this cycle (so far -OPKs)

Hi girls,
Just thought I would pop in and say hi- have been ph34r.gif a bit!

We are doing well, although had an almighty scare earlier this week with HCG levels. Had second levels taken on Monday and the FS called and said 'sorry but they are worrying'. Anyway, one sleepless night later, and after much online researching I called the clinic and asked them to check my chart again. Turns out they had the wrong date in for my EPU, so were reading the levels wrongly- they were perfect!! Talk about a rollercoaster ride!

Anyway, how are you ladies?

ttcwpcos- So sorry about your BFN. How are you feeling about IVF? Hopefully you wont need it, but if you do, its much less scary than I thought and turned out well for me!

kfid- How are you??

ButterflyLee- I only tried OPKs before I knew I had PCOS, and never got one positive (probably because I was not ovulating!). Not sure of how effective they are with PCOS, but maybe you can track 'O' with blood tests instead?

Hello to everyone else! Promise to be back on and off!
angelinaballerina
Well ladies, Im officially back. I started spotting early this afternoon and am going to the FS tomorrow morning as I was already booked in for a BT. Hopefully it wont be too much longer before we can start TTC again.

Update:

I went to the FS this morning and had another blood test. My poor arms are running out of places to get bruised sad.gif. My levels are starting to drop but not enough for their liking so I am going back there next Thursday for a scan and blood test.

Still only spotting very lightly every couple of hours. The nurse this morning was surprised that was all that I was getting but didn't really say much.

When I asked her if I should have started the progesterone earlier she was non commital which made me think they stuffed up and she just kept saying "well now we know for next time". AAAARRRRGGGHHH! There wouldnt need to be a next time if you did your job properly!!!! (sorry for the rant, I am more angry than sad atm).

Anyway. I hope every one else is having a good week. It's very quiet in here!!!
BeezMum
~melissa so sorry to hear that sad.gif...
Take care of yourself and we will be here when you get back. hhugs.gif

HI,

Not sure if anyone remembers me but I posted a while ago and have been ph34r.gif forum since and would like to thank all of you.

My story is:-
We were trying for 6 months to have DD then was told I have PCOS anyway the GP I was seeing didn't want to send me to a FS for 12 months. Just before the 12months was up along came DD.

She is now 10 months and we have been trying again for another one for 6 months. My first cycle since having her was 57 days and I haven't had AF since Feb. 28th. So after watching and reading all your stories made an appt. with my GP for Tuesday this week to get a referral to a FS, but I pulled out of to embarrassed to go. But today I rang and was able to get in and I went.

My GP thinks it's to soon for me to have another one as I had a short episode of Post natal depression (I say short because he put me on medication and after 3weeks I asked to be taken of it) I think it was just a delayed case of the baby blues. Anyway He said it was my choice and he is giving me a referral to a FS. He is going to make some phone calls as he thinks the hospital near where I live have a fertility clinic.

I'm so happy and give a lot of the credit to you lovely ladies who (although you didn't know) pushed me to go get the referral.

Thanks

I've been watching what i eat for a while but do you have any other suggestions for me that I should be doing??? Or what I should ask when I finally go to the FS (I'm sure I'll have a big wait)??

Again much thanks to you all biggrin.gif

Where is everyone???

Lately it has been very quiet in here.....

Hi jac82. Welcome back. I have just started doing a bootcamp exercise class which am hoping will jump start my body back into having AF on it's own. I've only done 1 week so far so not sure how much help it will be. But getting fit and gealthy can only benefit me in the long run anyway. I am also going to go to a naturapath and go on some herbal remedies as well as seeing my FS for clomid.

Me Update:

I have started getting pretty bad cramps and heavier bleeding (not enough to go to the hospital though) and will wait it out till my next appt with the FS on THursday. Hopefully my HCG levels have returned to 0 by then so we can get right back into the TTC.

Hello to everyone else. I hope you are all having a great weekend!!!
butterfly-lee
hi everyone,

melissa- Sorry to hear about your M/C sad.gif

Jac82 - to try and get my body doing the right thing, I decided to join a gym for exercise, After about 6 weeks of going to the gym AF arrived biggrin.gif I had also started taking Vitex (for about 4 weeks), and I also stopped breast feeding on the 14/4. Not sure if any or all of these things helped but I am going to keep at them as at the moment they are having the desired effect biggrin.gif Getting fit and healty is a great step in the right direction.
I went to see the FS at the start of feb so my bub was about 10 months old and he wanted to put my straight back on IVF, which I was not ready for, so I told him I would come back when I am ready for that, but I am hands.gif that I can have a little miracle with out his help biggrin.gif

Hi to everyone else I hope you are having a great weekend biggrin.gif

Hi

~Melissa- Let me know how the bootcamp goes. I looked at what my BMI is today at work and it shows I'm obese which is really upsetting so I really need to do something at it not only for me but my family, but it's so hard. I need to do more excercise but I'm get at finding reasons why I shouldn't. I'm 155cms tall and weight 96kgs. I hope by writing this it will insire me to work harder as Now people know my weight. I'm sorry to hear about your m/c.

Butterfly-lee- Are all your little darlings a result of IVF?? I was worried about going to a FS when my daughter is only 10months so it's great to hear your story.

mrscee- thanks for welcoming me back

me update- Well over the weekend AF was trying and try to come It finally appear last night, but it doesn't seem right. AF that I had on Feb. 28th was like a gush (sorry I know it's to much information but I hope you can tell me why), where as this one is very very light. Who knows but this cycle was 66days.

I'm about to ring my GP and see what he found out about FS in my area.
butterfly-lee
jac82 - I actually have 1 of each when it comes to having babies original.gif 1st was clomid, 2nd was IUI, and 3rd was IVF. Didn't actually try for myself between 2 and 3 (went straight to FS) thats why I am really going to give it a good try on my own this time. With my last AF it was really light for the first 3 days and then was normal after that.
Babystuff
hey girls!!

I've been missingbut watching!

Melissa sorry to hear about your loss....you sound very brave!

Jac i need motivation too.....i'm 89-90kgs and am 165cm tall sad.gif feel so horrible most times considering 3 yrs ago i was 65-68kgs sad.gif The light AF after a long cycle usually means it was an annovulatory cycle...i used to get Af's like that and my GP discocvered i wasn't Oing thats why my AF was all odd.....

Butterfly welcome and i hope your own trying doesnt need to get u to your FS again!

Mrscee hands.gif its a BFP for u this cycle!!!!!

Hi everyone else!!! Where has everyone been!!!!!??!?!

How are our pg ladies?!??!!?

As for me well CD11 today....been feeling the meds more this cycle. Other than that nothing to report really just plodding along and waiting for O in the next 6-7 days based on my previous cycles!! I am hoping this cycle will be BFP for me so dont need to go to IVF....got an FS appt this Weds avo to discuss our upcoming IVF booking ..... i'm hoping i wont need to go down that path!!!
BeezMum
Thanks for adding me Little Angels wub.gif

~Melissa I hope you are being kind to yourself and not pushing yourself too much at bootcamp! sad.gif

jac82 welcome back (even though I wasn't around the first time that you were here!) I'm currently getting referrals etc to see a specialist for the first time, have been diagnosed with PCOS after my m/c earlier this year.

ttcwpcos hope things go well for you in the next few days, and good luck with your appt on Wed.

As for me...nothing is happening. Waiting to see if I can O by myself. Took 54 days last cycle (1st after m/c) so not sure if I'm being too optimistic to say that I might O in the next week hands.gif I have been working really hard at the diet and gyming but I really don't know if I'm making any difference to my condition, because I'm one of those weird thin-PCOSers. In fact my dr wants me to see an endo because she is not really satisfied that my severe symptoms are completely due to PCOS, plus she has never seen someone 'suddenly develop PCOS' like me. So I'm due to see an endo on Wed too. Hopefully I'll get some answers one way or another soon.
mandyj86
Hi ladies'

Just wondering if I can join you guys?
I was diagnosed today with PCOS. My gyno has prescribed me 500mg Metformin daily to see if that will make me O. DH has had a SA and everything is fine with him so at least that is something. I don't really know much about PCOS yet so will probably have heaps of questions for you all.
My story s far is I went off BCP in Sept 07 and still have not had AF although have had spotting last month and other symptoms over the last 8 months. I have put on approximatley 12kgs since going off the pill and hate the way I now look. My best friend and I have just joined a gym to try and help me loose weight and I am going on a big diet. Does anyone have any ideas on a diet plan for PCOS?

hello everyone waves.gif

no personals today sorry! Just a quick message with my ultrasound results...

The sonographer wouldn't tell me much only that I had a single follicle on the left ovary and lots of small ones still... she wouldn't say if it had popped or not but I am sure that it has and FF thinks so too...

Will ring on friday to talk to FS for official results...
BeezMum
mandyj86 welcome! I'm a recently diagnosed one too. I am really starting to wonder if I chose a really bad ob/gyn because she didn't prescribe me anything or give me any advice, just told me to come back when I got pg and not to expect it would happen too quickly. Good thing my GP is so thorough. I have to see an endo tomorrow. My GP says that it's best to follow one of the low-GI diet plans and not to starve but to do exercise esp weight-bearing or strengthening exercises. I prob do about 2 hours of cardio and 1 hour of weights per week.

MrsCee congrats on being in the 2WW!!! Send some of the O-dust my way! roll2.gif

Wish me luck girls...my first endocrinologist appt tomorrow and my first Chinese med/accupuncture appt on Saturday!
mandyj86
Hi ladies,

Thanks for my welcome.

mrscee - I hope your FS has some good news for you on Friday. When I had my ultrasound the sonographer was really good and explained everything to me and said that it looked like PCOS to her and that I also have a 3cm dermoid cyst on my right ovary, which turned out to be all correct and confirmed by my gyno.

want2bmum - good luck tomorrow and let me know how the chinese med/accupuntre goes I am thinking of going to see a natropath/accupunturist to see if they can do anything to help.

I started my Metformin 500mg today and I think in may have given me the runs sick.gif Has this happened to anyone else? I called my gyno and he said that it may happen for the frst couple of weeks until my body gets used to it??

Mandy
BeezMum
Mandy it's very common (>10% of people) to get 'the runs' or nausea or tummy upsets with metformin, particularly at the beginning of the treatment. Try to take it with food as this helps. They usually start on low doses like 500mg so that this helps to minimise any gastrointestinal side effects. HTH!

My GP is a real believer in natural medicines and guess what...and now so am I. FF says I might have O'd!!! If it's true that means I'm going to have a 30 day cycle; bliss after the some 70 days last cycle.

Hi everyone else! waves.gif
butterfly-lee
MrsCee- I hope the sonographers repot is more helpful than he/She was. I'm sure you will get the answers from you FS on friday original.gif

mandyj86- yeah I got the runs when I started metformin.been on and off it for the last few years. I still get the runs if I eat the wrong foods tongue.gif
I take 1500mg a day. I worked up to that though.

want2bmum[b] Thats great news! What natural medicines have you been using. I am using Vitex at the moment and got AF all on my own, so am now waiting to see if I o.

ME[b]- I am currently at CD 14. MY opk yesterday looked a little darker than the day before, but still a way off the control line unsure.gif So am hoping todays is darker. Anyone that has used these, do they get progressively darker over a few days, or will they be lightish then suddenly +???
butterfly-lee
don't know why post is all crazy. and all bold in one place. Went in to modify it but everything is in the right place blink.gif so not sure what it is doing wacko.gif
BeezMum
Bummer, my specialist appointment was canceled because he was sick sad.gif Will need to reschedule in a few weeks.

Butterfly-lee I used OPKs last year and got a +ve the cycle that I got pg but I have been using them this cycle (and last) without much luck. Maybe it's something to do with the PCOS? Anyway they have been faint faint and then one was darker on CD15 for me but it never went fully positive without fading away again. sad.gif
As for my meds I am on Vitex and Peony & Licorice blend. Hope your darker OPKs means O is coming up! hands.gif

Yeah I had a blood test and ultrasound on Tuesday this week - which pretty much was te same result you had.. lots of small follies no big ones yet.
Do we really have ot take the metformin I hate the side effects - really irrates my piles sorry TMI I know but its freaking me out.
Am off to have another blood test tomorrow.
I just dont get it I mean I was DX PCOS back in 2003 and I went on to do the tracking like I am and after 2 months I decided it wasn't meant to be and then dec 03 i had the misccarriage and went to see FS and he was going to do some testing but I pulled out and my periods were regular then and then I got pregnant with my girls not long after that so wh ycan't my cycles be like that!!! cry1.gif I just dont get it. hands.gif

Good Morning ladies

How has everyone's week been going so far?

Well, yesterday evening I stopped bleeding and the ultrasound I had this morning confirmed that I have indeed misscarried. There is no debris left in my uterus which means I dont need to have a D&C. I am jsut waiting on the blood results to come back to let us know that my levels have returned to normal then we can start the fun journey that is clomid again.

The nurse looked at me funny when I said that I wanted to try again as soon as possible as most people (she said) want to wait a month or two to get over the shock of loosing their baby. While I understand that, I know myself and if we put it off I will just over think everything and worry too much and then we wont get back into TTC for ages. So it is best for me to start straight away (plus we are hoping to get married at the end of next year and I really would like to not be pregnant then).

I am hoping that they will give me a prescription for the pill as AF tends to show up whenever she likes (last time there was a 6mth gap between her visits when we werent having OI).

Anyway, enough rambling from me. I will pop back in a bit later to do personals.
BeezMum
~melissa I'm so sorry for your loss once again. sad.gif I am glad for you that there is no need for a d&c though. I certainly understand wanting to get back on the ride straight away; we certainly wanted to do this and at the time we didn't even know that our first cycle would end up being nearly 70 days (we did think that we would wait for first AF before trying again, but here we are more than 3 months later and I've only had 1 AF!) So waiting is not always what everyone wants to do. Best wishes for this cycle! hands.gif

Goodmorning ladies!

Mandy ye Metformin is a biatch i've stopped taking it but my FS said i can if i want to....hate the stuff!

Melissa my thoughts are with you but i'd be the same and want to get back into it ASAP!!

Want2bemum sorry bout cancelled appt....that would suck!!

Twoprincesses i wish my cycles were like they used to be!!!

Quick update from me....still waiting to o but shouldnt be too far off....
Went and saw our FS about IVF so we're giving this cycle our best...he will then decide if i dont fall pg if we will have one more cycle of injectiles or take a break and then early July we'd start an antagonist IVF cycle which is the quicker version and then by end of July we'd know if we're pg pretty much or not from IVF....he will do day 5 blast transfer. If that doesn't work they tell u to have 1 month off then they do FET cycle the next month so in our case if IVF doesnt work early Sept we'd do FET.
He thibnks our chances are excellent due to age etc etc but also said to be cautious to not expect to be pg from the first cycle....
All pretty scary but i cant wait in a way koz if its meant to be IVF i just cant wait to get there! I've also hit weight loss wagon and to my amazement weighed myself yday and saw i was 7kilo's lighter so im pretty happy about that original.gif

Trying to think POSITIVE original.gif
jac82
Melissa- again sorry about your loss but you have a great attitude about it. My sister has had 2 m/c (and also has a DD & DS) and she said although she was a little upset her thoughts were something must have been wrong with bubs and it must be better this way.

ttswpcos, wanting2bmum, mandyj86 or anyone- I don't understand what metformin and clomid do??? I know metformin is a drug diabetics take and I think clomid is the one that makes you ovulate??????

Me- It looks like my FS ref. is on it's way to the right place so now i have to just wait for a letter. Been watching what i eat and I think i might start weighting myself everyday. I was talking to a lady at work who has lost 60kgs and she said that studies show people who weight themselves more often then once a week loss more weight then those who do it once a week. My though was I'll weigh myself once a week and be excited by a big number but now I'm going to weigh myself everyday and be happy if a loss 100grams in one day but record my weigh loss weekly. See how that goes. unsure.gif
BeezMum
Hi everyone. waves.gif

ttcwpcos you are sounding so positive! That's great to hear. And well done on dropping that weight! 7kg is a huge achievement.

jac82 I don't think there is a 'right way' to think about m/c. I know it certainly annoys me to no end when people tell me 'it wasn't meant to be, don't worry you can try again'. Somehow I do not feel that these phrases make the grief of losing a much wanted child any less real. Perhaps I will obtain that perspective once I am a mother.

As for metformin, yes it is a diabetes drug. The theory behind PCOS is that almost all PCOS is somewhat tied to insulin resistance. That means that the body's cells are not as responsive to the insulin secretion, which makes the body produce more insulin. This is called hyperinsulinaemia (high levels of insulin in the blood). After a while, the pancreas gets sick of producing so much insulin and winds the insulin back down, and diabetes results (because insulin production reduces but there is lots of glucose in the blood). Why is insulin important? Somehow it helps to regulate the amount of oestrogen and testosterone produced by the ovaries. Metformin is an insulin-sensitiser which makes the body's cells more responsive to insulin (without increasing the amount of insulin produced). Studies have shown that metformin has multiple effects on women with PCOS; it reduces insulin resistance, helps with weight loss (PCOS women often find it very difficult to lose weight), and stimulates ovulation. There is some evidence to say that it helps to improve the hormone imbalance too (i.e. decreases testosterone and its effects like excessive hair, acne). The double-whammy of metformin + clomid induces ovulation more often than either metformin or clomid alone.

I weigh myself daily. It's probably best if you weight yourself at the same time every day jac82, as you can get quite marked fluctuations in weight throughout a day.

AFM: FF can't decide if I have O'd or not, and neither can I. Better keep DTD just in case. Have my first acupuncture appointment today, wish me luck, I am scared! unsure.gif
jac82
want2bmum- Thanks for all the information it was very helpful. I have just sent you a PM.

Do FS try metformin then clomid or do they put you on both together?
BeezMum
jac82 no worries biggrin.gif
I don't know about FS because I have never seen one yet, but I think that it is quite common to put you on both together. You can't take Clomid indefinitely, so it's best to give it the best chance of working. I think that some FS might even start with metformin before adding Clomid, but perhaps some of the others on here might be able to confirm.

I had my first acupuncture session! It didn't hurt at all (only a tiny sting like being pricked with a pacer or toothpick) but I feel all 'heavy' now...almost like the feeling after a massage...it's weird! I'm proud that I didn't run away when I saw the needles in their sterile packets laughing2.gif
mandyj86
Hi ladies

Thanks for your help with my Metformin questions I have started taking it with food and am feeling much better. In 10 days I have to double my dosage so I am hoping that it doesn't start making me sick again.

jac82 - Congrats on your weightloss. I have just joined a gym and am trying to lose about 15kgs I might try weighing everyday and see how that goes.

want2bmum - Glad the accupunture went well. A friend of mine has it all the time but I am a bit of a woss with needles so have never tried it!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Hi ladies!!!

Jac82 i might try the everyday weighing thing although i dont have digital scales so loosing less than a kilo is hard to see lol....as for Metformin i've pretty much stopped taking it as i noticed no difference when takinmg it other than upset tummy....they usually start u off with Clomid & met at the same time or sometimes met first then clomid depends on the doc....

Want2bmum good on ya for sticking out the acupuncture! I am probably going to start on Thursday and im scared as although i'm over needles im just freaked out that it will hurt lots lol....i hope it helps tho original.gif

Mandyj i'd love to lose another 7-10 kilo's i hope i do!! I found the gym never helped me koz i hated the word GYM so i try to walk during the day and wanna get an exercise bike for home...

As for me well had scan this am and saw two RIPE eggies ready to pop YAY!! That means there's two chances i can fall pregnant this cycle and a big chance of twins YAY!!! I will let my acupuncturist know today as she wants to time our first session to coincide witrh my ovulation and fertilisation/implantation stages of my cycle....really excited and hands.gif this is our month!!

Hi Ladies

Just wanted to post to say that we lost the baby on Friday morning. Had a scan on Tuesday and there was no heart beat so had to pass naturally.

We are going back to the naturopath tonight to get my body back into some kind of routine. Not sure when we will be TTC again but just wanted to keep you all updated

I was thinking of doing acupuncture and am really liking hearing other people trying it.

Babymurk- I'm so sorry about your loss, your in my thoughts

TTCWPCOS- TWO EGGIES that's really good. All the best for the BDing and the acupuncture it will be great to see how you go..I lost 2kg last week, but I still have a long way to go. I was going to start doing the daily weight thing today but didn't....ohhh well there is always tomorrow...

want2bmum- So at this stage are you going down the natural theapies route first before you see a FS????

mandyj86- I haven't really lost any weight yet except 2kg last week. But thanks for the encouragment...lol

Hope everyone had a great weekend. My husband went to the dentist on Thursday and had a wisdom tooth removed IN THE CHAIR it was stuck on the bone and it took the dentist like 40minutes to remove it. So while I worked from home all weekend he was in bed. I went to the dentist on Friday and had an xray done at a radiology place (as I don't have any wisdom teeth yet) and I think (looking at the films) I'll have to have 2 taken out in hospital, great. But I don't go back to the dentist till 30th May. Oh well will wait and see.
BeezMum
Oh Babymurk sad.gif I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope your naturopath is able to help and that you are taking it easy and looking after yourself. cry1.gif Take care and we are all here if you need to vent.

ttcwpcos yay for the 2 eggies. Everything is crossed for you this month hun. Seriously I was scared of the needles too but I really didn’t even feel them once they were in! I nearly even fell asleep during the session. So don’t worry, just relax and think to yourself; why do so many people do it if it really hurts?

jac82 wow 2kg in one week? That’s heaps. Congrats! cool.gif So at this stage I’m waiting to get in to see an endo which is happening next week, I’ll take it all from there. My GP wants me to stay on these natural meds and the Chinese dr agrees. Also I am going to have weekly acupuncture sessions, however, the Chinese dr told me that I should stop TTC for 3 months whilst she fixes my cycles…ohmy.gif I don’t really know what to do because I really don’t want to stop TTC…I want to be pregnant again before the due date of the first. But she says my body is weak from the stress of the m/c and I need to give it time to heal or I might m/c again. sad.gif DH is angry because he doesn’t believe in Chinese med and thinks that we would just be wasting time because the next pg might not even stick, even if we did wait. sad.gif I am so conflicted and I don’t know what to do. We have deferred any decisions until we hear what the specialist has to say.

Oh jac82 I had all FOUR wisdom teeth removed in the chair. cool.gif Mine was stuck too and I distinctly remember the sound of a drill ohmy.gif but I had my eyes tightly closed so that I couldn’t see.

Mandyj86 I had the same issues with metformin with runny bum syndrome, my gf was given another type of met by her ob when she had her son.... as it only come available last yr. It that is slow releasing and the same as metformin, Diamax I think is the name of it??? (sorry banana brain) - apparently it doesn't cause as much hassle as it is slow releasing, throughout the day and not just in one dose all at once. I can find out if your interested to get the script, but I agree make sure you eat a meal or breaky with it, as it is worse and not just toast and drink sad.gif
fingers xed it helps you to do the natural o too grin.gif

jac82 wow honey 2kgs in a week that is wonderful... well done cclap.gif
I absolutely hate Dentists rant.gif (due to a very bad experience when I was at school and the dental van used to come around every yr,,, the dental nurses they had to do the work (when required)... I had a few baby teeth removed before they were supposed to come out, due to compacting and my 2nd teeth trying to come through and they believed they would go crocked and a filling done without anestestic (((sp???))), and they petrified me. then I had to keep going back cos the filling kept falling out... cry1.gif (in later yrs the dentist told me the baby teeth wouldn't have casued probs, they just get pushed out as they are only holding onto the gum,,,, it was my 2nd teeth, that was the culprits sad.gif (that I have had to get removed) rant.gif
Anyway, I had 2 wisdom teeth out in the chair and 2 asleep and and because they were all so compact and causing alot of heartach and very Serious and the most horrific pain, I have in the last 3yrs had another 5 removed via the chair and I have the most terrible phobia of dentists... it is so silly.... I know.... (I am such a sook with dentists).... but I can't help it, and I get so worked up that I shake like mad, sweat profusely and get so sick, that I get worked up and vomit each and everytime, and nearly pass out when it is finished....
I don't ever want to experience the pain of toothache like I have.... ever... EVER.... again, in my life, and I am so relieved that I have had them removed, before they start to play up (and I don't care if I end up with no teeth, when I am older and get called gummy ) I prefer them removed then filled (and it is so much cheaper too blush.gif especially when you have to pay each and every time.

My dh had a little accident yesterday...... he was trying to put a log of wood into our fire and it was just a little too big he usually just goes and gets another piece but we didn't have any more big pieces....
Anyway poor darlin went out to trim it with the axe, and the piece he was cutting off with the axe flew up and hit him in the face sad.gif giving him a nice big smack in the mouth and nose... (luckily he moved cos it could have hit his eyes.... he bolted up here - at work, and 4hrs later he c*m home with 5 stitches in the top of his lip, and cuts to his face and nose.... and this morning he looks like he has a nose and lip all in one he did although throw the log on the fire before bolting for medical help and even remembered to lock the door... blush.gif he is more upset that he was getting ready to have a shave and can't do that and has to grow a mow now... rant.gif (YUK sick.gif hate them)

ok gunna run and do some work.... so glad the stocktake has finished and now all I have to do it reprint one of all the forms (and do a big order) and I am done ddance.gif take care and chat soon waves.gif

HI everyone,

want2bmum- I think that Chinese medicine works. My mum was having treatment done for her knees and weights loss and I was fantastic. My husband thinks the same way as yours but i think it can't hurt to try. I don't know how anyone could have 4 teeth out in the chair......omg......they will have to knock me out for sure, no way I could handle it....

little angels- My goodness your dentist experiences sounds terrible.....if that happened to me I don't think I could go back ever..... Your poor hubby I'm sure a few colourful words came out when that happened....At least he has you to take care of him but it might mean you have to get the wood for the fire now........ grin.gif

TTCWPCOS- I also have everything crossed for you and will have a chat to the man upstairs and ask him to watch over you and do what he can to help. hands.gif

Well I had a bit of a slip today and had fried food for lunch which is bad but it's so my weakness I LOVE chips of all kind......oh well that needs to be my slip for the week.
I'm so lucky to have contacts. The waiting list for the FS at my local hospital is really long like the next available appt. isn't until November, but a friend of a friend is getting me in in 4 weeks.. I know very chee unsure.gif ky

Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is having an ok week so far.

Babymurk I am so sorry for your loss. If you want to chat about it make sure you let us know. We are all here for you.

Well, I thought I was doing ok, but then I was talking to my mum this morning and it seems I am still incredibly bitter about my misscarriage (I know it has only been a week since it finished). I still cant get over the fact that I was supposed to be taking progesterone supplements for almost a week before I was given the prescription for them. I talked to my regular GP about it and she said it may have been a genetic defect that caused the misscarriage, but I am certain it was because of the lack of progesterone.

Also I am still annoyed at the nurse who told me that 'at least we know you can get pregnant now'. *** I already have a 18mth old son. I know I can get pregnant, it is the ovulating that is my problem!!! (can you tell I hold grudges).

Anyway enough rambling and venting for now. BBL to check in girls.
MahnaMahna
Hi Everyone!

What a fantastic group to have, I am new to this website and have been over in the TTC forums but just found this one and was hoping I could join.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in Jan 05, which was the same month we started trying for our 1st. I have always had spot on 33 day cycles so never knew anything could be wrong. I went to the doctor about something I thought completely unrelated and was lucky enough that my doc put two and two together and sent me for tests! Over the next 13 months I ovulated a grand total of 3 times, first was a no go and the 2nd time I got pregnant but had a M/C at 9 weeks. My doc told me that if I felt up to it I should try again straight away and she was right, my DD was conceived in Feb 06 and born Nov 06.

We are now TTC #2 and I am hands.gif that it doesn't take as long. I got my first BFN.gif two days ago when AF decided to make an appearance a day early.

Thats about my story so far! original.gif
