Just wondering is it the same turnaround time (14 days) if an accountant lodges your tax return?

Hi,

If you are talking about the time it takes from lodgement to getting your refund than yes it still usually takes around 14 days to receive it. It sometimes can be around 10 days. I have found though that if you get the refund directly deposited into your bank account rather than getting a cheque, you will get it after about a week.

Lodged Tax Return with accountant the Thur before last and it's in my bank account today, but WAY over what was estimated at my appt, so hoping to receive my Assessment Form soon so I can check it all out.

Our accountant lodged ours with the ATO last monday and dh's was in his account today- mine has to go through centrelink so don't know how much longer mine will be.

ours was 10 days

Dh's took only 6 days, the accountant lodged his on the 2nd August, he got his back the 8th august.

Very impressed with the ATO, too bad centrelink arent as quick
