I received my tax refund (via cheque) yesterday and on my receipt there was a heading titled 'reconciled ftb credit amount' and then an amount next to it.

Is it referring to my FTB supplements? Or is it paying me more FTB because I was underpaid in the financial year? I receive the base rate of FTB A fortnightly.

Also, when I first looked at the amount I thought it included my CCR but there is no mention of CCR on my receipt.

So now I'm a little confused unsure.gif

Should I expect to receive my CCR seperately?

Not sure what the FTB reference is, but CCR is now received through the Family Tax Office (I believe). Last year 06/07 was the last year that CCR was reconciled through the tax office.

Could be either or both.

The CCR is no longer paid by the ATO. It will be paid by the FAO after your CCB entitlement has been reconciled. This cannot be done until the FAO receives CC usage statements from your CC provider. They have until September 30 to submit them, although most do it a lot earlier than that.

So I'm right in expecting that I will receive a separate payment for my CCR? original.gif

When I first looked at the amount I received back on the cheque I expected that it would include my supplements original.gif- however because the actual amount I received is nearly twice as much as what my supplements should be I assumed it was CCR.

However the title 'reconciled FTB credit amount' threw me a little because I didnt think CCR would fit into that category.

Also curious as to whether I should expect a letter from centrelink in the mail which breaks down the lump sum amount & explains what I'm being paid.

There is no explanation on my online services - which I assume is because I received my payment via cheque not bank deposit?

Yes. You will probably receive any CCB owed to you and your CCR at the same time, paid by the FAO.

If you received CCB as reduced fees throughout the year, then it will be paid automatically once the FAO has all the info they need to reconcile.

Your FTB payments won't show up online because they didn't pay it as such. They sent it to the ATO to pay with your tax return. Not sure about a letter, but I imagine you should receive one stating what each amount was. You must have been owed some FTB as well as the supplements.

Have just spoken to someone at Centrelink regarding my refund and the amount I received included:
* FTB A supplements (full for DD / part for DS)
* FTB B supplement
* Top up of FTB A
* Top up of Rent Assistance

So all in all it was a nice surprise biggrin.gif considering I was stressing I'd end up with a centrelink debt blush.gif

Even more exciting now that I know I'm still going to receive my CCR *soon*!!
