It is a patch that is used to relieve some of the pain associated with an injection so for this reason I would need the reviewers to have a child due to have a vaccination in the next few weeks.

Is it really suitable for children six months and under?

It's great for surface stuff like getting an IV in or taking blood from a vein. I've seen great results there.

Absolutely USELESS for intramuscular injections (like immunisations). The pain doesn't come so much from the needle piercing the skin, but from the fluid irritating the muscle as it's being injected. Emla cannot possibly numb the middle of a muscle.

Yes I've had parents insist on it for vaccintions, no I've found no difference in the amount that infants cried while being vaccinated.
