LOL Carla, this is the story of my life at the moment. Having a not-so-good SS time, but made myself come in and read through all your successes to inspire me again. I am really struggling with this, and not sure why ... and I have been knocked for six by the news that DH is off to Perth for ten weeks for work :gasp: and I will be a single mum to 3 little girls for that time. Bit scary.
However, I am going to treat it as a positive and not a negative and use that time to really make a difference. I will have to be supremely well-organised, but won't have to worry about what he's eating so will only have to cook for the kids and then for myself later on. It'll sort of be nice, in a way, to do it while he's away so he'll really notice the difference when he comes back IKYWIM. Plus I won't be able to go out and socialise much as he won't be here to mind the girls, so won't have dinners out to tempt me to cheat either. He leaves August 9th but is in Canberra for most of next week, so basically treating it as if he's gone from next week. I had an okay week, but not 100% OP by any means. My weigh in isn't until next Friday though. Had curry and rice tonight, certainly not on the program

but have my yogurt and seeds etc ready to go in the morning. I've had a few positive comments about the fact that I've lost weight, so must be doing better than I think I am and two of my pairs of sz 14 pants are practically falling off

... just need to get re-motivated as I have lots of sz 12 summer stuff that I am absolutely determined to get into this summer. I won't be able to do alot of exercise while M's away as I usually walk at night with friends, but I have two of the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs so they'll get a good workout (pardon the pun!) over the next couple of months.
You guys are going great guns though

Welcome Quinnie, and congrats on your first loss. It's a good feeling, isn't it?
Carla, I'm noticing that my watch is a little looser on my wrist and my rings are that big looser too! Who would've though I had overweight fingers ROFL.
Claire, I was a bit dizzy and tired the first week or so too (and next week will be like a first week again for me so expecting it again).
Glenys, you are my inspiration

I have a little exercise book with bits that I've cut out of the SS newsletters, recipes I like, a few motivational quotes and stories etc. Even when I've been so off-program it's not funny, I've been having my water and seeds and trying to wait 5 hrs between meals (even if my meals weren't OP LOL!). I'm basically cooking completely different meals for myself and the girls as they're only little and their tastes are very bland and very non-SS(ie tuna pasta with butter, cheese etc; carbonara with egg, bacon, cheese). The walking is great for me. I usually walk 2-3 nights a week for an hour with some friends and the SS consultant has given me a slightly different program for those days when I exercise for more than 45 mins (I can increase grammages at the next meal by 1/3, I think). Bit of an incentive there too LOL ... more food!

You are right, it isn't that hard, and when I'm on it properly I do feel great. Just gotta get that feeling back again ... when I slip up, I slip up big time unfortunately

Need to remember to ask my CC about avocado. It's not on my program, but I think I can exchange it for the pepitas some days. Always forget to ask when I'm there.
Sezzy, 4.65 is a fantastic loss! Good on you girl

Welcome Jess, I think you'll find us a nice bunch if I do say so myself and lots of good ideas are coming out of our threads. Got to find that nachos recipe again!
Hi ddsujee, welcome to join us even without any kids! I couldn't tolerate the linseed meal either and ditched it after the first week in exchange for 2 flaxseed oil capsules a day. Much easier to swallow. I just couldn't do it, I was dry-retching trying to swallow yogurt with that foul stuff in it! I'm just under 70 kgs at the moment and heading for 58-60.
Carla, yay for another 1.3, you're doing really well

The 28 cm loss is just fabulous. You'll be looking a million bucks in no time.
Jess, hang in there. I was really hungry at first too, it lasted about a week or so I'm sorry to say. I'll be there again next week as I'm sort of starting again really. I just drank as much water as I could tolerate (well over the 6-8 glasses) and lots of herbal tea. I'm a complete diet coke addict too, and slipped a couple of those in there too ... naughty naughty LOL
Skipper, you're doing so well too. My goal was lose about 17 kgs all up (about 6 down). Woo hoo for you! I wish my *rs* would fall off too, it always seems to be the biggest bit of me  I want a skinny bum too. And I've always had small boobs, though I swear they're smaller now than they were before I breastfed 3 babies!
Quinnie, big congrats on the 2.65 kgs! I haven't bought the book yet, just plugging along with the recipes on their handouts and my own stir frys etc. Might get it as a reward when I get to my 10 kgs loss.
Sorry for the enormous post anyway. Raring to go again tomorrow ... well, not really LOL, but need to start feeling good about this again.
Carolyn xx
