HELP ME
My 3rd baby is 7 weeks old. After I had my other children my diet stayed pretty much the same as always. I am a healthy person and eat everything in moderation. But after having my 3rd baby I have such bad sugar cravings. I want to eat junk food and fizzy drink every 5 minutes.
I'm trying to resist but it is so hard.
Has anyone else had bad cravings after having a baby or should I be worried that it could be something else?

Are you breastfeeding? It sounds like you need to up your intake of complex carbohydrates! When you get up in the morning have a slice of pineapple to get your blood sugar up, then about 15 min later have a decent sized brekky of Special K or Vita Brits with banana sliced on top. Then a slice of rye bread toast with avocado. Doing this will elevate your blood sugar level and keep you from craving sugary things like cake and other junk. Mid-morning have an apple or other fruit and a handful of nuts. Lunch have a tuna & salad rye bread sanger. In the arvo eat some more fruit and nuts, then at dinner have a nice meal of chicken curry with basmarti rice. The trick to ward off sugar cravings is to eat healthy food such as above and eat every 3 hours if you can. Eating smaller meals and more often keeps your blood sugar levels on an even keel and stops those sugar cravings! Hope this helps you.

Ive found freezing grapes is a great way to satisfy my sugar cravings, they taste so good and cause they are frozen take a while to eat so by the tiem you have finished eating one the cravign has passed. This is one tip that dr phil reccomends for sugar addicts lol

Hi,
I find that munching on some strawberries does the trick for me. Before I 'found' strawberries, I would devour all the chocolate I could find :S but now I'm doing much better, down to a square a day now. lol
Good luck!
