I have read the photo book threads in the pinned section but have a couple of questions. Firstly, I am looking for something middle of the range, not overly expensive but not cheap and nasty either. Where would you recommend? And what type of cover (soft cover/hard cover)? I want something that would be a nice keepsake not something for the kids to look through? Are Xbook any good? This is one company that I have heard mentioned somewhere along the line.TIA

I have ordered one from Artscow but I am after something a bit nicer. I will check out my reflections.

The My Relections website tutorials look great. It makes it look really easy. Has anyone used them? Pros and cons?

I have not used them but I have seen the quality at their stall at the parents babies and childrens expo and they look good, the business is based in Rockingham WA and is printed in Belgium and the turn around time is pretty fast can't remember the paper gsm but I am sure you can check that to compare. hth

I have used both Artscow and My Reflections. My Reflections is pretty good... I would say they are a good choice of "middle of the road"... They do have excellent service, software is easy to use... The quality is a lot better than ArtsCow... To be honest, I'm not that impressed with ArtsCow, I only tried them cos I had free photobook credits and with only shipping costs, the cost was minimal... but they are the kind of books I let my 2 year old DD look at by herself and not worry about her ruining them...

I would definitely recommend My Reflections. I'm going to try Click On Print next... (I scrapbook and want the 8x8 hardbook size which My Reflections don't offer) I got an advertising pamphlet when I ordered something from CamerasDirect a while ago... they are based in Brisbane ... and their books use 210gsm photo art paper (My Reflections uses 170 gsm silk finish paper)... I'm hoping the heavier paper looks better...

Ok. I don't really know anything about paper. Is 170 gsm silk finish paper good?

The other one that looks alright on the website is album printer.

Hey hun,

Snapfish also do nice photo books. I've got a few for grandparents brag books etc of Jayden. They're decent priced and look lovely. The hardcover ones are quite nice. They have just brought in a whole new range of things for their photo books as well original.gif

albumprinter is awesome. I use them for my wedding proof albums in the 30 x 30 hardcover. Only limitations is only up to 60 sides (30 pages) my reflections goes up to somewhere over 100 i think. The best thing about albumprinter is you download the software and do all the stuff you want off line and then just upload the finished album. I hate sites that you have to make your album up on their website.

Ok, so I need to choose between Album Printer and My Reflections. Does anyone happen to have pictures of their albums? It so hard to choose. I'll have to go back to the websites and investigate further.

This is an album printer album hardcover square and when they did not offer photos on the cover, they do now but this cover is just plain black. I hope this helps
