Essential Kids > General > What Do You Think?

I bought my girls one each a few years ago when they first came out. They were cheap ones and when they played the DVDs in it and we hit a bump in the road the DVD would jump, this happened all the time. Now one doesn't work and they are just cheap and nasty.

I want to get them another portable DVD player each for Christmas, but:

I don't want one that jumps.
It needs to play copied DVDs (I take these with us on trips)
It needs to have at least a 7inch screen or bigger.
It needs to be a good quality one.

Can anyone help me?

NI if mine is a 7" screen. I think it is. Anyway it is a Phillips duel dvd player. Dvd goes in one player, and it plays on both screens. Bought this so that it would work for both kids, and i wouldnt have two different shows playing. It mounts easily and works fine. Had it for a year no problems. Plays all my bali dvds without a problem. Charges through the cigarette lighter. Cost about $240-. However if its an option i would probably get one built into the car into the headrests. Its what i will do next time. Just a bit neater. Its this one. Has travelled overseas with us and was great.

Thanks for the info yyes.gif

I particularly wanted individual players so the girls could take them anywhere and use them.

We are hoping to get a new car next year so hoping this already has them in, but Choice Magazine has not got any good things to really say about in car ones.

Choice recommends Grundig (China) as top of their list....I've never heard of them, but they are $399 each oomg2.gif LG is next on their list, though it isn't multiregional....might have to look into this a bit.

Oh well back to the boards.

Thanks again
Lynn

DP scored one for $99 the other day. Not sure what state you're in but I'll send you a link to the stores website.
