Bronze -

Can't stay as I have people over for dinner, but just quickly:

qldmum04 - those pictures in theatre are incredible!! oomg2.gif Your anethetist was a star photographer, what a great job! tthumbs.gif I hope I can have such beautiful photos... hands.gif

God tips, too!! Thanks very much. I don't have any specific questions yet about the procedure... though I've booked us both into an additional "parent education session" on c-sections in a couple of weeks to find out more about our hospital's procedures/policies. They did cover a bit in our antenatal classes, but this is a whole 2 hour session just on C/S

OK - gotta run! Night all x

qldmum - gorgeous photo's wub.gif and thanks for the c/s tips. I think it is good to be prepared for any situation when giving birth and the tips are really useful original.gif

qldmum: gorgeous photo's wub.gif I am hoping I can get some beautiful newborn photo's like yours. When C was born, we only got 1 photo of him as a newborn, and that was an hour after he was born.

~Shell13~: Wow! your family is just gorgeous! And can I just say that for a Mum of 13, with her 14th on the way, you look fantastic!

This week is my last week as a teacher, well for this year anyway. I feel very sad leaving my Year 6's, but their new teacher is great!

I haven't done this birthing thing in 13 years (13 years ago, right now I was giving birth) and I am so nervous. I have finished my monthly appointments and I am going each fortnight now. I had a bit of a scare at the start of this week with intense BH, bleeding and I passed a clot around the sixe of half a $1 coin. Everything was ok - I honestly didn't get the explanation that I wanted, but I was told to rest, rest, rest.

I haven't even started with the nursery or any baby things. We only have a few gifts that have been given to us. I am excited to finish work though as this means - baby shopping ddance.gif

Will talk to you all later waves.gif

Hi All,

I am sorry I have been MIA. I have been busy trying to wrap up my class before school holidays. I am now offically on leave! YAY!

I am at my Mum and Dads this but I will try to keep up as much as I can.

I hope this finds you all well. I have not had a chance to go back through the last couple of threads yet.

Morning Ladies,

I'm home today with a sick DS. He has a cold.

We had his birthday party on Saturday, was lovely. We hired the mini trains for 2hrs and the kids had a ball!

I had a very busy day on Friday getting ready, shopping in the morning then baking all day and decorating the train cake. I don't think I got to bed until after midnight. It was raining so I was stressing about what to do with 23 children if it was raining in the morning and finally fell asleep around 2am when the rain stopped! wacko.gif I was SO exhausted yesterday.

Shell - that's a lovely wedding photo! Everyone looks very happy.

qldmum04 - Great photo's!

Nut - hope the Dr could help you with your cough.

Tara - how scary for you, glad everything is ok.

That's about it from me this morning, have a great day!

Hi ladies waves.gif
Lots of people seem to have cold or are sick or with sick kids at the moment... nno.gif I hope everyone starts to feel better. My DH is getting sick, I think it maybe tonsilitis, he used to get it heaps but no so much since we've been together.
qldmum- Greaet job on the tips for the c-section!!!
I'd also like to add (being a theatre nurse and having done a hundred c-sections- maybe not 100, but heaps) that at our hospital we dont lower the barrier for mum to see her bub. We take the baby out, the surgeon passes it off to the midwife, who checks the baby, pinks it up with a few puffs of 02 if required (will also bee seen by the anethatist if required), dad usually comes over for this part, and then bubs usually gets the vitamen injection, cord cut shorter and then is wrapped up and taken to mum. We don't breast feed in theatre (the midwifes may bring the baby back to recovery for you to do it there). Once the bubs is ok and we're just left to stitch you up, the partner, baby and midwife head back to mid to wait for you.
I'm sure its different everywhere. If anyone has any questions about the actual procedure I'm happy to answer.

~Shell13~ - What a big day that must have been, getting everyone ready and organised...

I have just gotten back from gippy, spending time with my family tongue.gif , but I missed DH so so much. his been so great lately, his been more caring and loving then ever before. I am so much in wub.gif its crazy!!!!
I am starting to really enjoy being pregnant now with the morning sickness just having left. The belly growing, I have some aches and pains and hard nights sleeping, but with out work I am happier!!!
I bought everything for the baby on tuesday. I got the pram, capsule, high chair, cot, matress, tall boy with change table on top. I haven't picked up the cot or tall ball yet, waiting for them to come in. I bought some more mcn of ebay! It feels great to have it all sorted!!! eexcite.gif
I think thats all from me. Have been reading everyday as usual, but not much to report.

Oh my friend went into labour last night, went to hospital at 2am, haven't heard anything furher yet. Fingers crossed she's ok and everything is going smoothly!!! hands.gif
qldmum04
bnblewis - Where I have my bubs, they give you the option of taking down barrier and "seeing" them take out bubs and I'm a nno.gif to that!!! They passed me my 2nd DS because he was screeching his head off before he was even fully out, but my 1st DS I didn't get to hold for ages as he was an emergency with bad meconeum (spelling!!) amniotic fluid. Both times different OB's (as both emergencies) so I'll see what they do this time! It was great that they passed me bubs right after he come out, rather than wrapped up and cleaned down abit. I wasn't able to hold him at this point, just to look at him for about 20 seconds, then was passed to the midwife. It felt a bit more special. But again, I think it's just because he pinked up so quick while screaming is head off!
Nut
qldmum - See I would opt for the no screen option... And a mirror!!!

They are great photos. My mother took pics of Alex's birth, though I didn't realise until I saw them later. I knew she was taking pics (part of her role there as well as support).

Shelly - Lovely photo! Looks like it was a nice day.

I'm sorry..."ME" post coming up. I just REALLY need an outlet right now. ddown.gif

I'm still in the daily grind at work with five weeks left 'til I go on maternity leave. In informed my mgr of my pregnancy in early January, but apparently it's only been in the past few weeks that it's hit him. He's really piling on the tasks that "need to be done before I go." I've been trying to cope. Then, today....news that one of the key personnel in the business has been made redundant and a huge part of his role will be passed on to me!!! mad.gif

How does that make sense?!? To top it all off, they chose a replacement for me who will come in only three days a week. So, he's really expecting that in the next 5 wks, I'll be able to learn everything off this other guy, add it to my existing role, and simplify everything enough so it's done as a 3-days-a-week role?!? oomg.gif

I don't know whether I should cry1.gif or mad.gif or just hand in my resignation now!!

BBL for personals. Sorry again for the "ME" post.
mumzy09
Hi ladies,

gisellen, OMgoodness, not good. I dont know what id do, but i sure wouldnt take that crap. Are you planning on going back to this position after you have had bub? If you were not, id tell them to stuff it, and thats the polite verson, but otherwise i think you need to speak to the boss, not the stress you need right now!

Nut, Sorry to hear you are unwell, along with the other ladies. I hope you all get better soon.

I cant remember the other personals i was going to do.

I had my baby shower yesterday, and it was awesome, i got spoilt so much, so many pink and purple things! I have spent the day organising them and trying to find a place for everything to go. I have photos on my blog and FB,

We actually announced bubs name at baby shower, and i have put it in my blog if anyone is interested, as DH and i have decided we will not be putting it on EB!

Take care and chat soon.

Giselle - If resigning is a real option for you, then perhaps you should discuss it first with your manager outlining exactly what he's expecting you to do and make it known that it's just not on.

And then if that doesn't help... Quit.
wilma09
Sorry, another ME post, but I will bbl for personals. (Gisellen - I can relate so will reply in detail when I get home tonight).

In the meantime - have any of you second (or more) time mums ever had a really big fright while pregnant? I'm sure everything is okay and bub is moving around but I was sitting at my desk on the 31st floor of a big building about 2 hours ago and the floor to ceiling window exploded inwards. I'm okay - covered in water and pretty shaken up, but the shards of glass missed me because the blind was down. I figure there's no real need to call the doctor because bub seems to be fine, but does anyone think otherwise?
qldmum04
Hi All,

Had OB appointment today, nothing has changed, bubs head is down though ddance.gif which makes cord prolapse less likely now if my waters break, so that's a relief! Still have to see him weekly, everything is back for what they tested for now, and all negative which is great! So he said will just have to wait until bubs is born to rule out other possibilities. Apparently she will still have to go to special care to be monitored for heart and oxygen levels (even if they can't see anything wrong) but he obviously doesn't know how long for, the paed will do all that when she's born. hands.gif that's it's a VERY short stay! I'm not sure what happens with breastfeeding either, I'm hoping that they will bring her to me then take her back, but I really have no idea what to expect.

I love the first pic of my DS being born, the way the background dimmed with the flash of the camera, and the theatre lights made around him bright just worked so well!!

Norina I didn't get any photos of my first son being born either, he was a very stressful emergency c/s birth, and I didn't get any photos until a few hours later as he had to go to special care for awhile to be monitored. So I was soooo happy to get some actual birth photos with my 2nd son!!

Giselle - I'm with Nut, talk to him, tell him what he's expecting of you is unrealistic and stressful. And I also agree that if you don't plan on returning after bubs, I'd tell your OB or Dr to write a letter saying that you need to finish work "for medical reasons" then he won't get his back up - and you still get a nice reference!! After all, your manager is being very selfish him/herself actually expecting you to take on more work "just because you're going soon."

Nut I can imagine that you wouldn't remember your mum taking photos, I think you were pretty occupied at the time!! laughing2.gif - re screen - The whole idea of seeing inside my tummy FREAKS me out but when they did take the screen down show me my darling little boy, I honestly have to say I didn't even think to look at anything but my little boy. I didn't know they were going to do it either, just did it themselves so it worked out awesome!

Cas Glad you enjoyed your baby shower and got spoilt! I tried to see your bubs name but it wouldn't let me sad.gif

Giselle- I felt like resigning a few weeks before my annual leave then maternity leave kicked in, but if you do that then you wont get paid for your maternity leave. For me getting paid for 10 weeks and not working for it was worth sticking it out! You can get your Dr to write a letter stating for medical reasons that you need to commence your maternity leave early, or use sick leave (if you have any) until your maternity leave kicks in. Or tell your boss that your not coping and may leave early if he doesn't come to a sensible option. It is illegal for them to put to much work on you, if it i viewed as 'punishment' for being pregnant and leaving. just my opinion.... i hope it works out! Keep us updated what you tell them.

wilma09- why did the window implode.... oomg.gif I hope you feel ok. I'd think the baby should be fine if there was no impact, but your body may respond to stress. If you feel the same with your pregnancy (baby moving etc, no bleeding etc) then you should be ok. But its always best to get things looked over. Maybe even call the midwifery department and ask their opinion! I hope you feel better soon! hhugs.gif

*MrsCas*- I'm glad your baby shower went well! I don't know if I'm having one, or when. I'm not metioning it, I assume my family will plan one if they think I should have one. I dont really have many friends to do that sort of thing (jst 3 big sisters) I'm glad the day was good fun!!! grin.gif

Off to check the chicken and corn soup I am making for the sick husband. YUMMO!!! yyes.gif

Hi ladies,

qldmummy, My blog is password protected, so invites only. If you want to read, please PM me your email address, and you can read from there.

I wont be adding the name even after she is born anywhere on EB,

Kylie, I hope someone has organised a party for you.... it will be interesting to see if they do.

Gisellen - On the up side, your boss obviously sees you as incredibly capable and is going to miss you. I agree that you probably need to talk to him and explain that while you understand that the business has had to make certain decisions, there is only so much you can do (pregnant or not). I have been quite fortunate that my boss has two young children and hasn't overloaded me (something I was a bit worried about). If you can ride it out til you go on maternity leave (or finish early) then you can be pretty sure that this will have worked itself out by the time you get back because there's no way your replacement will be able to do what they are expecting you to do and they'll be forced to make other decisions (I hope!!). Whatever you decide to do, good luck.

bnb - Thanks for the hug original.gif Those big buildings have double windows (an internal and an external) and condensation had built up in between the two (a fact reported several times, but building management didn't think it was a risk). So, it appears that the pressue built up and bam....I was a bit shaken but am much better now that I am home on the couch in my pjs original.gif I'm hoping both bub (who hasn't stopped wriggling all afternoon) and I will sleep well tonight.
*Foggy*
Geez Bree, that must have given you an awful shock! Must have been a bit of an engineering fault for the condensation to be able to build up in the first place...?

Glad you're OK! original.gif

Cas - glad you had fun at your baby shower! Sounds like you got loads of presents, lucky you!

It looks like I'll be having a baby shower around the 1st August when I'm roughly 36 weeks. Quite late, but my SIL, step-MIL and lots of other family are overseas until then so that's the best timing.

Meanwhile the lovely girls at work are planning something sneaky and have simply asked me to put aside "a few hours" on a particular date. They won't tell me what's happening, only that it includes lunch. Should be fun! original.gif
qldmum04
OMG Bree!! Thank god you didn't get any glass on you!!! How scary! As for bubs, she'd sure get your adrenalin rush!! Wow, it's shocking that something like that could happen and potentially hurt so many people!

WOOHOO! 33 weeks today, 1 more week to got then if bubs decides to come out early I won't have to go to Brisbane. yaaaayyyyyyy stay in there baby!!!

hmm.. not sure if you're allowed to post, but if anyone is a fan of storksak.. check out www.storksak.com.au they have a special on with a few big reductions.
~Simply*Blue~
Wow Bree, how scary! I'm sure bub is fine. I was in a car accident when I was 30 weeks pregnant with DS1. I spent the afternoon in the hospital for monitoring but everything was fine. Hope you can relax now.
Nut
Well, I bit the bullet and made a GP appointment today. The breaking point was last night when I woke up unable to breathe. After an hour I could still get very little oxygen, was dizzy, couldn't sit up much less stand and would have passed out had I not already been laying down.

We decided to go to emergency but waited 2 hours without even being offered oxygen. Eventually it settled enough and we decided to leave. Went to maternity and they did a CTG monitoring for me and all was well, though I was hooked up for about 45 minutes. They had to wait until she woke up a bit and moved around enough before they would let me go, but all is well.

Midwife had a feel and said that she feels like a lovely small baby, which is comforting given the GD issues. And that I don't look anywhere near 33 weeks which is nice too original.gif

Wow Bree!!! That would have gotten the heart pumping!!!
mumzy09
Morning ladies,

Bree, OMG i dont know how i missed your post yesterday, im sorry blush.gif

I hope you are feeling ok and that bub is fine. I do know that i have been told that if anything out of the ordinary happens i should phone my OB or MW at the hospital, just incase, and get their advice.

Nut, So scary about not being able to breath, it was about 4 weeks ago and i had the same thing, turned out it was my asthma! I hope you get well soon, glad you had a CGT for piece of mind! And glad hazel is nice and compact!

waves.gif to everyone else, have a good day. Im off to help my sister out today, she is 25 weeks pregnant, and struggling with her back, so im going to take my DN for a while.

morning all!

Cas - I would love to read your blog and have pm'd you!

Nut - glad all is well!

Bree - glad you are ok too! What a scare!

Friend of mine had a baby boy yesterday early morning (1am), 3rd bubba, 10lb 5ounces!!! 1hr and 10min labour and no tearing! She went to the birth centre I am attending and had a wonderful experience, staying the rest of the night and leaving first thing in the morning. He is such a cute little chubba, makes me soooo clucky!

Not long and it will be my turn again! I hope to have a labour as good as hers!

Conversation on the phone with poor, stupid DP. Tounge1.gif

Me: Hey, are you getting sent home today? (He works in construction and gets sent home if weather too bad)

DP: Not sure yet, what time are you going to the hospital?

Me: When you get here if you're being sent home, otherwise will probably just go tomorrow.

DP: What do you need to go for anyway?

Me: To book in to have somewhere to have this baby, so we don't have it at home!

DP: Do you want to have it at home?

Me: [LOL] No, there's no drugs at home. Tounge1.gif

DP: You don't need drugs.

Hi girls waves.gif

** Nadine22 Update**
Got a text from Nadine at 8.30 this morning. She is in hospital with a irritable uterus, been there overnight on a drip.

I still haven't caught up on everyone else's news yet... maybe today.

Cheers,

Thinking of you Nadine. wub.gif

Hi all,

Thinking of Nadine - hope all is OK? hhugs.gif

All OK here on the tummy front - no more pain!

Just said "bye" to MIL and neice after a very hectic three days. Was lovely to have them here but now need a huge Nanna nap to recover!

Sorry for no personals - still trying to catch-up from last thread.

Hope everyone else is well - will try to catch-up tonight when family is in bed.

~Simply*Blue~
Hope you are ok Nadine hands.gif

Nut I hope it's nothing, can't believe you weren't treated at the hospital sooner! I know they were probably busy but a pregnant woman who couldn't breathe? Hope you are feeling better today.

I'm off to ob soon, I feel like crap. I am so tired, it's only been in the last 2-3 days I've felt like this. I could go to sleep at any given time and hardly have the energy to sit up.

My MIL just bought a house, a huge 4 bed with granny flat for just her and her husband. It doesn't make sense to me at all. It's just around the corner from my house, so my 3 hour buffer has been reduced to just 1 minute nno2.gif They move in in 18 days nno2.gif
bigsue19
Thanks, ladies...I've calmed down a bit today. original.gif I spoke with my mgr and he's still of the opinion that the added tasks won't be "too much" and that they can easily be passed on. So...since we could really use the annual leave and paid maternity leave, I'll just hang tight 'til my 5wks are up. I'll wait and see how I feel several months down the track if I'll even come back to this role. Would you believe that he even asked me to consider working from home 1-2 days a week while I'm on maternity leave?!? FAT CHANCE!! glare.gif

Nut - I can't believe it took that long for you to get attended to at the hospital! Hope everything's ok.

Nadine - Thinking of you wub.gif ...hope all's well and that you'll be out of hospital asap.

thequeens - Nice one! roll2.gif

Bree - I can NOT imagine what that must've been like! oomg.gif Really glad you're ok, though. Talk about a scare!! Did they ever find out what exactly caused it?
Nadine22
Hi Ladies,

Thankyou tepster for forwarding my message on.

Well I had a very busy past 3 days. On sunday late afternoon we were at mums and hubby started vomiting and had the runs. Then 2 hrs later I got it. We decided to call an ambulance as the only dr that did home visits in the area was going to be atleast 6hrs before he could come by. Anyway so hubby and I both went in. I was having tightenings and so they monitored me for 4.5hrs. I was put on a drip and was given 1L. 2:30am we both got back to mums. We spent Monday there as we were both too weak to drive home. Then in the afternoon my tightenings got more frequent again, so I decided to call the hospital I am booked in with. The midwife told me to monitor them for another 1hr and call her back. So I did that and had about 9 in the hr. She wanted me to come in.

I was monitored at my hospital and it was showing a fair few peaks (some good ones too). I had to give a urine sample which showed that my ketone levels were off the chart which causes an irritable uterus. So I had to have the drip again. This time they kept me over night and I had the drip in all night and untill discharge at 10am (2.5L all up). During the night I had to breath through some of the tightenings. Anyway I was monitored again before I left and I had only had 1 tightening in the 30min and bub was quite happy and very active. So now I am home!

So I have my fingers tightly crossed that the tightenings fade away and bubs stays put for atleast another 3-4weeks. On top of all of this I have a cold aswell.

So that is my update. Sorry for no personals but I am still quite weak and am about to go rest on the lounge.
bigsue19
Good to have you back, Nadine! bbighug.gif Get your rest and I'll be hands.gif that your li'l one hangs on for a few more weeks. original.gif

Fingers crossed for you for the coming weeks. hhugs.gif

Good to see you back home Nadine, must of been so scary. Hope your baby stays put for a few more weeks yet.

Off to ob now, hope the baby has moved and the protein gone.
Nut
I didn't even get attended to. After 2 hours we decided to leave. It was only the lovely midwives up in delivery who made the time to monitor hazel despite being extremely busy.

Nadine - Did they give you any steroids or anything just in case??

Glad to see you're home at least and the tightenings have settled. Scary.

Giselle - I guess at least they value your services???
bells66
Quickly posting some new photos of bubs @ 31+5weeks taken at my gall bladder ultrasound.

Nut-sorry to hear that you have had a rough time and hope you get some answers and feel better soon hhugs.gif

Helen original.gif
wilma09
Thanks everyone. I am okay original.gif Bub still seems to be getting off on the adrenaline from yesterday but I'd much rather he/she was wriggling around than not moving. Yes, it was condensation that built up between the two panes of glass but there is a full inquiry being conducted and the 'windows' in my office have been boarded up in the meantime. The carpet is all still sodden so I'm working out of another office for the time being. While it shook me up, I guess I just feel lucky seeing how much worse it could have been. People keep telling me to buy a lotto ticket...

Nut - Sorry to hear you are not well. Waking up not being able to breathe is really scary! Hope you start to feel better soon.

Nadine - I also hope whatever is going on with you gets better. It must be awful to have threatened early labour. Take care of yourself.

Gisellen - My employers are also onto me about working from home a couple of days a week, but it might suit me so I'm keeping my options open.

Hello to everyone else - I'd better get back to it. waves.gif
~My3kidz~
Nadine - I hope all is well, Irritable uterus is really shocking... sad.gif
vickbeth23
wow you girls have been chatty today- you can def tell more of us are now sahms!!

A few short personals as i'm so far behind its not funny!

Nadine- poor thing, glad to hear that all is ok now and that you are home. Hope those tightenings stay away for a while.

simply-blue- how did the ob appt go? Has bub moved and hwos the protein?

Helen- ohhhh how cute are those photos! I can't wait not long to go now and you'll get to hold bubba!

Bree- wow how scarey, very lucky indeed. I'm such a freak I couldn't even imagine working ont he 31st (or 32nd??) floor of a building I would be freaked out! Not that i'm scared of heights I would be scared of fire or something stupid. I mean i wouldn't say no to a job for it but scarey!!

Nut- thats why I love being in private health, my ob would have gotten me in straight away. That sucks so bad that ANYONE not just a preg lady should have to wait that long for a bit of oxy and attention, and even that long you still did't get seen too. Lucky the ladies in mat looked after you and Hazel.

AFM- still sick sick sick. Thought I was getting over it this morn and felt great but this arvo the snot monster has struck and i'm feeling stuffy and yuck. I did manage to get out of the house this morning though (first itme in a week!) so that relieved some of my craziness!

Started really packing my hospi bag today. So far i've got-
labour-
cameras empty and charged
snacks
toiletries (shamp, cond, toothpaste, deo, body wash, toothbrushes, brush)
one pair of pjs to change into for dh and me
two bottles of water
lip balm
head band
maternity pads
undies

hosp bag-
three pairs of pjs (I'm one of those girls who only wears pjs or trackies in hosp!)
dressing gown- normally i don't wear one but thought it would be good to keep the shoulders warm while bfing. its soooooo soft. (jakey saw me in it tonight ran up and just started rubbing his face on me i think he thought i was a big fat marshmellow!)
snacks for jakey when he comes in(special treats to keep him occupied)
breast pads
all my bfing singlets
more maternity pads
soft toilet paper
two going home outfits for bub, one for me
notepad and pen

so i know i'm forgetting heaps of stuff cause i'm metally retarded this preg so who wants to help the poor old fat preg lady remember what else she needs?? wacko.gif

ok thats it from me tonight

chat later vick
*Foggy*
Just a quick hi from me - had to bring work home tonight and haven't finished yet (becoming all too common these days) cry1.gif

Nadine22 - sorry to hear about the threatened early delivery - that would have been a shock! Sounds like you got some good care in hospital though. Glad you're home now! original.gif

Nut - you poor bugger sad.gif Hang in there!

Vickbeth & MyTwoKidz and anyone else who is under the weather - hope you're feeling better soon. God knows you deserve it!

Me - I'm fine, but losing patience with people who decide to 'pop in' to our house, only to then tell us they have the flu or a cold! What the heck is up with that??? rant.gif rant.gif rant.gif

Another friend did this to me last night - gave me a kiss on the cheek 'hello', then said "Oh, don't get too close, I'm coming down with my wife's flu". wacko.gif

I shooed him out of the house saying "Well, I don't want it! I"m very pregnant and the last thing I need is the flu!" mad.gif

SHEESH! People can be so thoughtless! It's amazing I haven't caught anything yet...

OK, enough ranting. Back to work. glare.gif
tepster
Nadine - You are welcome. Glad you are home now and I hope everything settles down for you and bub very soon. Take it easy.

Helen - GORGEOUS PICS! wub.gif

Bree - so glad you are ok, how freaky!

VickBeth - I have almost finished packing for hospital but my brain isn't working properly at the moment, so unless I actually go and look I can't remember other things.
Except I do remember I have packed:
Take 5/ That's Life magazines
Phone charger/ phone card/ phone numbers.
Also a rough birth plan.
Sorry I can't think of anything else at the moment.

Anyway my eyes are falling out now, so I will go to bed now and check in again tomorrow.

Goodnight,

Sorry for no personals, have had the bad flu for the last week. With the hospital bag, do you have to pack a separate labour bag and a hospital bag?

Ob went well, baby is now head down which is great. He gave me more a/bs for this bloody cough that I've got hopefully it will get rid of it for good!

I still have protein in my urine plus something else, it looks like rey, key, ley something like that anyway, bad writing wacko.gif It's alright apparantly as I have good blood pressure and no swelling. I am wondering what the new thing is though, as he didn't mention it I only saw it written on my card after I left.

He has no idea why I'm tired either as my iron levels are excellent shrug.gif

Foggy I can't stand people who are so inconsiderate!

Vicbeth that list looks pretty good, I'd add a phone charger. My phone was my lifeline while I was in there. You probably wont need all the toiletries in the labour bag either, I know my first shower after I gave birth I was told to make it quick and don't even try to wash my hair etc. I'd pop them in your hospital bag original.gif

Max I never took 2 bags, but I suppose it depends on what you'd pack in the labour bag.

Lorraine - I did, but you don't HAVE to.

I left the big bag in the car and just had a small back pack with a change of clothes for after, some for DH along with his swimmers etc.

I just kept it very simple.

waves.gif Morning,

Off to see the OB again today. And thank-you for reminding me to get cracking on my hosp bags........DH is a bit worried now that I have already been admitted to hosp for stomach pains! Must make a list and head to the shops.

Quick question:

When is everyone getting their baby capsules fitted in the car? I was thinking at 34weeks.......

hhugs.gif to those who are still feeling sick with colds and coughs. I do hope you all start to feel better soon and can enjoy the last weeks of your PG.

Have a great day everyone,

Helen - I think I had the capsule fitted with DS at about 34 - 35 weeks. Will put it in next week I think.
