I think it must be present day today, got two things I have been waiting for from Ebay. Both for my little man... A beanie and a little outfit (which he wont be able to wear till summer, but still it was a bargain)
I've also done a Pumpkin Patch order. Spent $100 on 4 outfits (size 0-3months, thanks girls), a beanie with Teddy ears and about 7 pairs of socks. And I got a free scarf as some promotion thing they are doing. (would have prefered free shipping!) So hopefully they will arrive before bubs..

I've also decided this little man isnt allowed to arrive on the 25th July. I had a miscarriage in 06/07 and had a D&C on 1st Jan 2007, and bub was due on the 25th. I am not really upset by the date or the whole miscarriage (it never felt right and if I didnt have the miscarriage I wouldnt have DS2). Just think I'd be better celebrating this little man on his own special date.

Also, need your advice girls on what to say to a friend. When my DS2 was 4 months she had a miscarriage and required a D&C. She came to me afterwards as she knew I had gone through the same thing. Anyway she has been trying to concieve since. They just did there first round of IVF, and found out yesterday that it didnt work. They are such wonderful parents (they have a 3 year old DD) and I feel just terrible being pregnant and being due any day now. I am not sure what to say to her.
I just feel so lucky that DH and I havent had any troubles concieving....

Have a lovely Friday and an even better weekend..... Tykita I think your bub is next... how exciting!!! xox

Congratulations Timtam and family on the birth of your babygirl.gif

Fantastic news!

Jak I have no idea what to say to your friend I'm sorry...it's such a difficult situation. I think you can just let her know you're there to talk to whenever she needs. I hope her next round of IVF is successful.

Reb that's great your husband is home, hopefully your baby can come while he is there. Does he get more time off when the baby is born? Enjoy your family time!

Rose is it time to stop the housework? wwhistle.gif Maybe your body is trying to tell you something?!

AFM we had a lovely mini-break in the Dandenongs, if any of you get a chance I highly recommend a 'babymoon' if you can! It was just so good to be away relaxing, we saw lots of Puffing Billy for our DS and chilled out in front of the log fire...beautiful. Then last night we put together the bassinette - not as straight forward as it looked but it's done now, looks really good! Hope you all have a great weekend biggrin.gif

Wow, what great news! And another wonderful size! Can't wait to hear of her name.

Tykita- The supply line is basically where you feed bubs formula in a bottle which has a small tube attached to the nipple. The idea is that the baby still gets a feed but also stimulates your breasts to make milk. I have to be honest and say that it didn't work for me in the past but I am also willing to try everything again if needed. It generally does work unless theres another underlying problem (which for me this time they are investigating). I also have a copy of the lactation cookies and will also be making them.

Weight- I have put on almost 11 kilos! So if I only put on 12 in total I will be happy. I have a feeling that this bubba will be close to 4 kilos anyway.

LF- I have a Volta Vortex bagless- I think it works just as good as a Dyson but was only $200. (I got it cos it was purple happy.gif ). I also get 'excited' (what a boring life I lead!) when I see the crap that it sucks up. Okay are you ready for this?- I vacuum every day! wwhistle.gif I love it that much! We also don't have pets in the house and I sweep our hardfloors every night once the kids are in bed. We also use a carpet shampooer (borrow one from a friend) every 6 months or so. I can't get over the crapiola that is in my carpets! oomg2.gif

Cath
- Whoops! Yes I did mean ravenous- I definately am not ravishing!! laughing2.gif

Hospital clothes for bubs- I am taking in size 0000 wondersuits just so she'll (hopefullly) get some wear out of them. I have 2 in pink and 2 in white- all brand new (I bought the pink and was given the white). If she's too big, DH will bring in some 000 ones. I don't like hospy clothes and I really don't mind washing them- poo and all. I have Bryce's poo to deal with and trust me- that is far worse than baby's first tar poo!!! sick.gif Sorry if TMI! I have a little going home outfit too- pants and a top plus I'm taking my own singlets and bodysuits etc.

Cookie- I have a bodysuit with Leo starsign on it! It was the first thing I bought when I found out I was preg- before having the CVS and everything. I bought it as my good luck charm- it worked too! original.gif

Thank you very much to my SS for my pressie which I got today. It is a pair of little shoes/booties in the shapes of lambs llove.gif and a pair of pink Bonds leggings- the ones that look like pants! wub.gif I love them both very much. The shoes will come in very handy as it is quite cool in Adelaide even through the spring months.

AFM- Today I had my sis and my niece and nephew visit which was nice. Thank God that the school hols are almost over and Bryce can go back to school next week. He's so bored still!

I was very upset yesterday as DH came home with a speeding fine- I was not impressed. Thats $220 we have to find. At this point in time that's not good as I am not working anymore! Could have been worse I suppose.

Have a little tummy ache today as well. Not sure why. Bubba still moving around heaps. DOn't feel as dizzy as I did yesterday afternoon either.

I am looking forward to tomorrow night as I have a friend who's organsed a 'baby shower dinner' for me! As we didn't need anything for bubs, I didn't have a baby shower but thought it would be a good excuse if we could just go out for dinner with the girls'. The only thing we really need is a highchair so my friend has organised a group of us to go out to dinner and help buy us a highchair!

I am pretty annoyed though as my mum is not coming. I told her about it 3 weeks ago (to which she said she would get the night off- she's a midwife and works night shift) but now she reckons she is down on the agency list. That means that she's not actually working per se- just that they may call her if someone calls in sick etc. And as tea is booked at 6.30pm and she normally wouldn't start until 10pm- she could still come and go to work afterwards. But she said to me on the phone today that she doesn't like going to work on a full tummy!! So she's using every excuse not to go. My sister even offered to drive her (as they live close to each other), and pay for her meal as it is her bday today. That didn't even work. I just don't understand what she has against me. She is really anti-social and hates seeing me. She also said she would come and see Bryce these school hols- I haven't seen her. I just can't get over that her grandson is terminally ill and she only sees him a handful of times throughout the year. shrug.gif

Anyway- I can't change the way my mum is- she's always full of excuses. I hope that one day she'll realise what she has done. Even if it is too late.

Congratulations TimTam on the birth of your baby girl!!! bbaby.gif ppinkstork.gif babygirl.gif Can't wait to hear her name and see some pics. original.gif

So exciting to have another bub in the group!

I wish I could say I thought I'd be next... but not looking that way! I had my midwife appointment today and bub is not engaged or anything. All is well though and heartbeat is good, no high blood pressure, baby is growing well etc.

My Grandma is getting married tomorrow (86yrs old! hehe). I just have to wait til after that and then I'm happy for baby to come! I think I'm going to get some acupuncture next week and see if that will help with all my back pain and maybe with convinving bub to come out. original.gif

I didn't get any sleep last night. I was in so much pain, plus DF's snoring drives me insane. My legs have been really restless and then crampy and achey too. So annoying.

DD woke from her arvo nap this afternoon SCREAMING and screamed for nearly an hour afterwards. I was so worried. I don't know what was wrong. I gave her some panadol and eventually she calmed down. Then she was her happy little cheeky self. I hope that she is ok. Gave her some nurofen before bed so hopefully she'll get a good sleep and be bright and happy in the morning. It's so awful when you can't tell what is wrong and they can't tell you. sad.gif

BF supply> When I had any problems with my supply I put brewers yeast in some milk (with something else to disguise the flavour! LOL Pink Quick does the trick wink.gif) and it seemed to help alot. I think that's the 'active' ingredient in the lactation cookies too.

I've put on about 15kg sad.gif but good news is I managed to only put on 0.1kg this last week (got in trouble for putting on too much before that). I so hope that it falls off quickly after bub (BTW Well done Kate!! original.gif )

BrycesMummy>Hope you have a lovely baby shower dinner! I am sorry to hear your Mum is being that way.

Rose> I think you should definitely give up on the house work! Tounge1.gif

Housework> I think I hate it all! LOL I think I'm missing the housewife gene. I do love when the house is clean but it never lasts and I just find it so frustrating that everything that I do is undone 5 seconds later.

Reb> Glad your hubby will be home from now. original.gif

My DF is snoring on the lounge again. It is driving me insane but he is on a completely different time frame to me lately. He gets up at like 4am and takes off fishing or to work or to look at the weather to see if he can go fishing after work lol and then crashes out before even 7:30 some nights. While I get up when DD does some time between 7 and 8 usually and then go to bed around 9/10. Basically means we get no quality time together and I'm doing everything for DD on my own. I'm not sure if he's trying to squeeze in as much fishing as he can now before bubs comes or if he thinks he'll be keeping this up when our little man is home too (no bloody way! LOL).

Anyways... I haven't posted in ages and now I've rambled on for ages. Too tired! Tounge1.gif
Take care Mummies!

AFM

Had a bit of a dogdy day! Woke up feeling ok. Got the kids off to school...all was normal this morning. I headed to the shops with my list in hand of things I wanted to do today. Nothing major, just tying up loose ends!

Well...I did a couple of things on my list, then caught up with a friend for a cup of tea, then continued on my quest of crossing everything off!

Got about 20 minutes later & started to feel...not right! I called DH so I could talk to him while I sat down for a while. I had a terrible stitch when I walked, to the point where I actually couldnt take another step. I was also starting to feel lightheaded, but put it down to the pain I was in.

So we chatted for a while & when I thought I felt a bit better I continued. Within 5 minutes I was telling DH that my vision was funny & I couldnt see properly.

Thats the last thing I remember!!!

Then I recall (just) getting myself up off the floor in Target. I felt awful, walked as fast as I could, not feeling any pain, not even sciatic pain (which I always have) & made it to the ladies in time to be sick. Oh how lovely!!!

I got back to my car. Rang DH back & told him what happened. He wanted me to call an ambulance. Instead I called my OB for advice. He was available for me to talk to personally, thank God! He told me to come into labour ward & he would see me there.

I rang DH, told him I was going to get Riley from school & head in. Probably not the smartest idea to be driving, but I clearly wasnt thinking straight.

I got into the hospital fine though...& even managed to park the car straight! Woah!

Went to labour ward. They took us in, put me on a couple of monitors, including an electric blood pressure monitor & then waited for my OB. He came in & did all sorts of funny things with me. Making me push on his hands with my feet, then my legs, then my hands, then to squeeze his hands. He covered each eye to see what I could see. My vision was still off & I had flickering lights out the sides of my eyes. My eyes also hurt & felt hot.

They kept me on the monitors for about an hour & I actually fell asleep while Riley watched tv & played on my iPhone. He was such a good boy!!!

DH (Mark) & Jake got to the hospital in time for them to tell me I could go home. They didnt know why I passed out, but probably due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Number one rule now......don't do any kind of outing on my own!!! Great!!

When we got home, my head was pounding & I had a sleep. DH had to go back in (with my mum) to get his car & he bought the boys McDonald's on the way home.

Am feeling a bit fragile now. But otherwise ok. Go figure!!!!

Not long now...just 13 sleeps to go. Cant do another 13 days like today though.

Megan

TWO GIRLS!!!!!! YAY!!!!

WELL DONE TAMARA AND INGRID!!

Welcome to baby Timtam and Katherine (great name original.gif )

Hi everyone else!!

Kate - good idea to keep tabs on arrivals! Hope lil Ben is behaving himself. Such a cutie!! You do realise that we will all be turning to you for firsthand advice soon!

BM - Bad luck about the speeding fine...dont u hate it!! Have a lovely time at your shower baby dinner - a lovely idea!! And of course you are ravishing original.gif

Pink - yes of course the maxi cosi...they r so cool. My friend still used one here with a seatbelt, but not sure i am game. Might have to be content with a peg perego which can fit in the pram frame with adaptors. I agree with Rose - Australian capsules and car seats are so boring!! So glad we can at least get bugaboos here, though DH is going to bring down one from Singapore cos with the exchange rate at the mo coupled with 'promotion' a better deal is to be had. Has yr friend popped yet????

Megan - Not a good day!!!! no more solo trips for you....take heed sister. Great that u could talk to yr ob, then get to see him!!! very impressive.

Firey - acupuncture is a very good idea...would definitely be using it to bring on labour if i wasn't having a csection, and will use it after birth to encourage healing.
And have a simply lovely day at your grans wedding - that is so special.

Bubblebear - babymoon sounded like bliss biggrin.gif

Jak - Tell your friend to keep on trying cos all that pain and inconvenience and hassle, not to mention the total physical and mental rollercoaster is worth it when she has a new bubs in her arms. But the trick to IVF is not to give up...to keep hoping and working on it. Complementing IVF with a naturopaths advice I highly recommend just to get through it all with brain intact!! I wish her the best of luck. But dont you feel bad about your success...she will simply be so glad for you.

Perjiggity - glad you are back in the real world original.gif How is lil sis liking TAFE?

AFM
I am simply glad that I didnt make it a west ozzie trifecta original.gif
JLNMummy
extremly early morning all,

not having the greatest night so by 5:00am decided I would cut my loses and get up. Think I have had about 3 hrs broken sleep and in between labour dreams!!

I had a bad day too, is it just that stage of pregnancy or something?
I was feeling off, not right at all and like I would be sick. Went to the shop to do a few things for DH while he worked and just felt worse. Then the strong BH started AGAIN!!! I thought I would take a parcle to the post office and got a trolly to put it and DS#2 in, thank goodness I did. I started getting these horrible really sharp agonising pains down low that I couldn't even walk with. I thought I would cry in public! it took me 20 mins to walk 100m there and back. I don't remember feeling anything like it before. Then got stronger BH. Came home took panadol and haven't felt right since. I don't think I'm in labour but something isn't right and I'm scared I'll start getting the really bad contractions again as I had a few very painful ones already sad.gif My tummy just hurts all over and I feel sick, but the contractions I'm getting are all over the place so they obviously aren't doing anything. I'm so over this, if he wan'ts to come out, then just come out already!!!!

ANYWAY.....

CONGRATULATIONS Tamara on the birth of your baby girl babygirl.gif
I can't wait to see some pics and hear her name! I got so excited at your news wub.gif

also another CONGRATULATIONS to Ingrid on the arrival of your baby girl Katherine.... wub.gif

I better go the laptop is about to turn off on me, I'll BBL for personals.

Have a great day everyone! original.gif

Wow 2 new babies!

Congrats Ingrid and Timtam. Looking forward to seeing pics. original.gif

I wasn't feeling the best yesterday either, I really think it's the stage we are at girls. Our lungs are squished, moving and bending over is hard and heartburn...blech.

Saw the OB yesterday, he said I was only 4/5's engaged but because it's a second baby, sometimes they don't engage until labour starts so I shouldn't be expecting much....

Been reading my hypnobirthing book, quite a few good tips in there. About regulating breathing rather than the fast rapid breathing and mental imagery to 'breathe' the baby out, rather than forcefully push the sucker out! lol.
We'll see how it goes.

Can't wait to see who is next.....wink.gif
Have a good weekend everyone, rest rest rest if possible!

I think we are 2 babyboy.gif for 2 babygirl.gif now aren't we ddance.gif

I soooooooooooooooooooo can't wait for my 9 sleeps to be over, I feel so terribly ungrateful, but this truly has been a horrible pregnancy experience, I've had SPD since at least 10 weeks, and am now to the point that if I do anything other than just "potter" around the house I pay for it for the next 3 days. I truly truly feel so blessed to be having my darling babygirl.gif and the ends justify the means, it's just hard to feel gracious atm.

QUOTE

Kozza and Megan - I'm sorry you both had such horrible days yesterday hhugs.gif

BBL!!!! Hate it when you wake up feeling no better than when you went to bed glare.gif
perjiggity
Wow, I blink for a moment and we have TWO babies??

Congrats Ingrid and TimTam!

Popping them out all over the place now.

Kozza - that little man is causing you too much trouble, time for him to leave the tummy house! Have you been doing all the home remedies known to bring on labour?

Megan - that all sounds so scary! Wonder how long you were down for, pity you weren't noticed and helped up, although by the sounds of it you would probably have thrown up on them, so maybe not such a pity after all. No more driving, definitely!
Glad your OB was available, it must be quite comforting to know he's there when you need him.

Firey - lol at your grandma getting married, sounds really sweet. Just so long as its not a scary vegas-style white wedding which should be restricted to young drunk people. Re DD - night terrors perhaps?

Lorraine - pity about your mum not going to the dinner or being involved, but if that's the way she wants to play it there's nothing you can do except stress and worry yourself. Sometimes the best family members are the ones you get to choose yourself. ssorry.gif

My lil Sis had her first day of Tafe yesterday, I drove her in and picked her up, the poor little innocent that she is. Being home schooled all these years this is a big deal for her, and yet she didn't set her alarm ohmy.gif Apparently it was my job to get her up early?? Um, no lovey. While I am A mother, I am not YOUR mother. Teenagers eh shrug.gif

How on earth do I get my DD to shut up in the middle of the night? She comes into my room and announces "I'M GOING TO SLEEP WITH YOU, MUMMY" climbs in, yells "I NEED SOME BLANKY", and "GET OFF MY TEDDY" etc. I'm sure baby is not going to appreciate such wakeup sounds, and nor will I. I say shhhhshhh its dark quiet time but she's too busy making sure she's getting her way to listen and shut up. She knows how to whisper, its just not sinking in.
duck-o-lah
Oh God, it's gonna be one of those days! Had terrible vivid nightmares lastnight and have woken up with that leering unexplainable sense of doom. Have cried twice already... is today over yet? Sigh....

Megan, that must have been so scarey for you. Was there no one in Target to help you? Didn't anyone see you? I think the msg here is stay out of Target ladies! 2 bad experiences in one week! I hope you're ok, does sound like some nasty bp activity, well rest up and be good to yourself, not long to go now. hhugs.gif

Kozza, I sincerely hope your situation is resolved! Have you checked in with your medico ppl? I hope you feel better today.

Big congrats to Ingrid! Bring on the pics mummies!

Chin up everyone, sounds like we're all having a rough trot, as they say, the darkest hour is just before dawn...
Eviesmum
OK someone needs to tell me how to change the font and colour and then change it back there used to be a close all tags button but I cant find it anymore. sad.gif Can anyone help??

Anyway Congrats Ingrid on the arrival of your little girl. Would have made it pink and pretty but.....

This morning I have - done 2 loads of washing, scubbed and cleaned both toilets, cleaned the bathtub and bathrooms, mr sheened not only the wooden furniture but the leather couch as well, cleaned the kitchen benches and rangehood and splashback, made all the beds and wiped down the dining chairs. Nest much?? Now I feel ill and am waiting for DH and DS to get back from Auskick. He will be a bit cross at me when he sees I overdid it.

I bought a watch on Ebay last night. It is my bday gift (not til Oct) but I might make it a push present!! It is a Raymond Weil Tango they are about $1200 new this was second hand so I paid $200 I figure better than just getting a $200 cheapy at the jewellers. The lady is very nice she said if I am not happy she will refund my money.

Lorraine - I am sorry your Mum has such little interest. It is very hard when you have no close family ( we are in a similar situation) especially hard when you have such an ill little boy. In the grand scheme of things it is her loss though and not yours. Think of all the hours you will save not having to visit her in her old age biggrin.gif that is what I do!!

Megan - That is awful I have passed out once from low BP and it was scary/ Take it easy and I hope you have no repeat episodes.

Kozza - Sounds like time to issue an eviction notice. I hope you are a little better now.

Firey - biggrin.gif at your Nanna. DH's Nanna has been married 3 times. The last one she met through a dating agency in her 70's she doesnt think it is proper for a woman not to be married rolleyes.gif Sri Lankan background I dont know if that is why. Hope you have a good time.

Perjiggity - My kids do that too. I have tried explaining they wont eb able to when bub comes but I dont hold out much hope!

Lilfrankie - 9 sleeps yay I have 28 (that I know of) after my hair appointment on the 1st I will be doing all I can to evict this one!

Ok better go have breakfast seeing it is 1030 laughing2.gif stupid clean freak that I am.

Morning

It all seems to be happening in our DIG!

Monkey- Gosh I thought I was going to get to the end of your story with another birth surprise! What a shock for you- just a question; did anyone help you when you passed out/fell over?? I hope you're feeling ok today. Get as much rest as you can while you can. Only 13 sleeps... golly gosh, where has time gone?

Duck- Big hugs to you is what I will offer! bbighug.gif I think you are right- the roughest time for all of us is now!

Kozza- Hope you're also feeling better today.

Strangely I am feeling a little 'off' today too- just another tummy ache. But DH came home yesterday feeling a little off. So I hope nothing is lurking in our house! With my luck it is! He seems ok today though.

Having much more difficulty staying asleep at night (getting to sleep is easy!) But I think this has got more to do with being uncomfortable sleeping on my side (I am usually a tummy sleeper) than anything else. Sometimes I get cramping of my right leg (always the right, never the left huh.gif ) but that's about it. Oh, and Hamish often gets up at 4am for cuddles and to steal my side of the bed! But unlike your angel Perjiggity, Hamish is very quiet as he does so- just gets upset if I'm cuddling DH- to which he says "no mummy; my daddy". Never wants to cuddle his mummy!

LF- 9 sleeps left- that's also what my sis says I have left! Whilst I am very excited to meet my little tumbling gymnast I also have lots to do and really don't mind if I go a few days over. At most I want to only be a week early- if I could only choose!! I am steering clear of the 5th August as this is MIL's bday and she keeps going on how nice it would be to share her bday! No No No!! I want DD to have her own bday thank you!! Hamish is born on my Nanna's bday (13th Jan) but I am ok with that.

Canadiangirl- I've never read anything on hypnobirthing but know of the breathing you are talking of- I have a friend who is very natural and she is great at giving advice. She had 2 water homebirths and said that she helped cope with the pain by imagining with every contraction that her uterus was opening like a rosebud at the dawn of a sunny morning~

I am so happy that the weather in Adelaide today is picturesque! Beautiful sun to help me with my washing- I have already done 2 loads and can probably do another 2- and they should all be dry by this afternoon! And am really looking forward to going out tonight- it's not often I get to go out (especially by myself with friends). May be the last time!! And DH is going to clean the oven for me today- what more could a girl ask for?!

CONGRATULATIONS to Ingrid on the birth of your baby girl!!!

Trish hope your nanna has a great wedding.

Megan sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday, did anyone help you in Target? glad that you are ok,defentley try to rest for the rest of your pregnancy, not long to go now.

Kozza hope you start to feel better,or the baby comes.

Kyla i am 4/5 engaged as well,i thought that was good,i thought 5/5 means you are fully engaged so 4/5 is almost there,is it the other way round? I know with Matheus i never engaged at all, until birth.
If my bubs is up to high then they wont induce me as there is a risk of cord prolapse, but i feel as though i have dropted.

Rose yah on 9 sleeps,i have 6 sleeps now,i was feeling very excited and anxious last night, this time next week i will holding the baby.Makes be happy but scared as well.

perjiggity unsure how to get your daughter to be quiet,my daughter is 6 and still will come in and wake everyone up LOL.I tell her to be quiet so many times.Doesnt help that Matheus is still in bed with us as well.

Eviesmum For the font colour change you highlight the script that you would like to change colour and go up to the letter A up top a bit and pick the colour that you would like,A is next to Fonts.Same with fonts i think, highlight what you would like to change and pick the font.

We went and picked up a bookcase this morning that i had got off ebay for the babies room, looks really good, did a massive food shop at woolies last night,so now all stocked up,and i am about to head out and get a double pram.
Then home to rest biggrin.gif

thanks again for the update on bub's name Leanne.

Kira Paige is lovely. original.gif

Tykita, 4/5 isn't much, basically the head is just sitting at the top part of the pubic bone...it's the beginning of the stages as it goes in reverse. 4, 3, 2, 1...Sigh.
tykita
Timtam-lovely name, cant wait to see some pics of your lil princess.

Canadiangirl-oh bugger, wish it was the other way round LOL.I hope i engage a bit more then this week.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Megan: You poor thing! I hope you are feeling better today. I can't believe noone helped you up - unless there wasn't anyone in the shop. Target sounds like the shop to avoid atm. Take it easy Hun.

Koroli: Oh no not again! You poor thing, you must be so sick and tired of your body playing games with you. I hope you get some relief soon, whether that be the pain stopping or bub's deciding to make an entrance.

tykita: Yeah, I think when they say 4/5 engaged they mean 4/5 of the head can still be felt above the pelvis. So, technically 1/5 of bub's head is actually engaged. My midwives like to throw in some confusion by doing it the other way around, whereas my OB does it the 'correct' way. Last visit to my OB at 36 weeks bub's was 2/5 engaged - so 2/5 of head could be felt above pelvis and 3/5 is actually in the pelvis.... eeek!
But don't let it worry you, some babies don't engage until in labour. I know a Lady who a week ago wasn't engaged at all then suddenly a couple of days ago her baby boy decided to make a very quick entrance into the world - it doesn't always mean they will be late or early.

Here's the up to date baby list! I'm still waiting to see who is going to drop today! Listening to all this not feeling quite right's there may be a fair few on the way!

I know before Ben was born they couldn't feel his head at all and I had to have a trans labial scan to see how far my placenta was away from my cervix coz they couldn't see my cervix any other way!!

CONGRATULATIONS INGRID ON THE SAFE ARRIVAL OF YOUR DAUGHTER

Katherine Lyvinia Taylor

And a beautiful name for your daughter TimTam "Kira Paige"

I cant believe how many of "us" havent been feeling well lately. I had pains again last night, but then I was sleeping in DS2 bed with him. He woke up during the night and I went to comfort him and ended up falling asleep... Oh well!

Picked up my Scan results from last week... Check this out!!!

My Dates I am due on the 15th Aug but the scanning place is going by my 12 week scan date so they are saying I am due on the 10th... so these below measurements are going by there dates. At the time I was 35 + 5

BPD 93mm (80th Percentile) Does anyone know what BPD means??
HC 335mm (90th Percentile) Head Circum
AC 348mm (90th Percentile) Abdominal Circum
FL 71mm (60th Percentile) Femur Length

Just like my other boys big head and bodies and short stumpy legs!!! Cant wait till Thursday so I can see my OB!

Just been out shopping... spending too much money. Bought some new clothes for DS2 and a new summer outfit for bubs... Oh and got myself some new maternity bras and some bonds knickers. I usually stick with Berlei maternity bras but this time I opted for Target brand (Made by pacific brands anyway) because the straps are so much slimmer, means in summer I can wear my tank tops again with hideous straps showing.

Gotta go... my two monsters are trying to help mummy use the computer...

Have a great rest of the weekend, and I hope to hear some more baby news (just not mine!) XOX

Ok so this is how you change colour and font

Woo hoo it worked thankyou thankyou

Just waiting on DH to get back with the pizza. Took the kids to a bday party today they are so hyped on sugar and will be finishing the day with pizza. Great parent arent I!! Good thing they had veggie soup for lunch.

So at the party some people thought my bump was huge and some thought it was tiny so you never can tell. Bump size is in the eye of the beholder.

Miss Moo loves Insectosaurus from Monsters Vs Aliens and she had a stuffed toy of him which she managed to lose (she snuck him into a shopping centre under her poncho and left him somewhere) I went to 3 shops today to get a replacement. So tired now.

Have a good sat night all

When you think about the fact that we are talking milimetres here...there's not much in it at all!!! Especially when I am due a week before you.
I think my baby wins on the short stumpy legs though! LOL bbabyflip.gif

jak,

I think Meg has found the same website I have!

QUOTE
b) The Biparietal diameter (BPD)
The diameter between the 2 sides of the head. This is measured after 13 weeks. It increases from about 2.4 cm at 13 weeks to about 9.5 cm at term. Different babies of the same weight can have different head size, therefore dating in the later part of pregnancy is generally considered unreliable. (Chart and further comments) Dating using the BPD should be done as early as is feasible.

Congrats Ingrid on the birth of your daughter! Love the name and also beautiful name that TimTam has given her little girl! Can't wait to see some photos of the girls original.gif

Bubblebear - Your babymoon sounds like it was great! DH & I had planned to go on 1 and never got around to it.

Weight - I've put on about 10-11kgs so far, I dont know if my weight gain will slow down though, i've been eating like a horse lately.

LF - I have a dyson too and I absolutely love it. I dont mind vacuuming with it because I know it does a good job and cant believe all the cr@p it picks up! And I dont even have a child in my house yet.
Also - 9 sleeps not long at all now!! It's so so so close!

BM - Sorry to hear about your DH getting a speeding fine & about your Mum always being so difficult, have fun at your baby shower dinner tonight though! How nice of your friend to organise it for you, it sounds like you have some good friends there for you who care.

Firey - Hope your Grandmas wedding was nice. How sweet!

Monkey - Scary stuff! Glad all is okay now though. Some of you girls really are going through the wars at the moment.

Kozza - Hope you are feeling better and your body/bubs decides soon what they want to do!

Perjiggity - Your daughter sounds like a real little character! The stories you tell us on here make me laugh..... although im sure you dont find them quite as funny. Still sounds so cute though.

Eviesmum - I wish I had the same urge to clean like you have had...... i've just been doing the usual but not great sense of having to have everything spotless. You did well getting so much done. Good work!

AFM - Cant believe I only have 18 days until im due, im absolutely freaking out about labour. They say these last few weeks of pregnancy drag on? But to tell you the truth since about 30 weeks it has gone way too fast for me. I think it's because I have had no real physical discomforts for the whole pregnancy so nothing to complain about.... my belly isnt even that big, well it's big but not big enough to stop me from doing much at all. I think because im feeling fine D-Day is coming for me very very very quickly! I need to try to relax about it a little, it's all going to happen whether im ready or not. (Im ready to have bubs here, just the labour bit is giving my nerves a good shake!)

(Sorry I havent gotten to everyone for personals - this is my best attempt for now original.gif )

Car is busted, apparently it needs its brake/clutch fluid circulating in various automative parts, not puddling onto the ground. rolleyes.gif No point getting it towed until Monday either, the service centre isn't open to fix it.

Which, while being extremely annoying, means I miss the Mathilda's Markets in the city tomorrow, and can't even get a ride with someone else because I'll spend money I no doubt need for repairs, but also will miss my antenatal appointment on Monday morning.

Its been about 3 weeks since I saw them, wonder if I can push it to next week? Probably not with my GD and their sad faces when they see my numbers. But the dafties ONLY want to see me on Mondays, and while buses apparently run regularly, now is not a comfortable time to explore them, waddling and groaning around. A solution will eventuate, never fear, I'm just a control freak.

On the other hand my washing machine is lovely. It goes round and round just the way it should, and doesn't stop mid-cycle for no reason. I'm putting my old beastie on ebay for 99c start, it still works and no doubt a household of students would be happy to have it (and remove it for me).

re vacuuming - I have a dyson too, but its lost a bit of its suction, I think my cyclones need a service. Still picks up soooo much scrud though, even when I do it weekly. The question is how much of it is from us and how much lives in the carpet from numerous previous tenants? sick.gif I get it steam cleaned every 6 months or so but you know how rental carpet is.

I never knew that 1-5 scale of engagement worked backwards, imagine that! Rather counter-intuitive isn't it?
*~*Kitty*~*
oomg.gif Is it still a week away cry1.gif I wish she would do a little dance and pop those waters so I can rush in and have a quickie roll2.gif So freaking sore now, it's not right that you go to bed and still get up the next morning feeling like you've just run a marathon!!!

Megan - so jealous of your massage, you lucky lucky girl biggrin.gif

Perjiggity - I haven't seen my OB for 3 weeks and it will be 4 by the time c/s date comes, as she went on holidays and I didn't want to see grandpa OB and pay $90 when he wouldn't do anything my GP could do. Haven't seen my GP either unsure.gif ph34r.gif Hope you get your car sorted quickly, what a pain in the ass..... we had mine serviced last week and it cost $850 ffear.gif

Cookie - I saw your thread about labour fear, I was terribly terribly scared with my first and i'd had my very overbearing American ex-inlaws on at me about how it was weak to have pain relief and even weaker to have a c/s for at least a month before DD. So to then end up with a c/s was so upsetting for me, I was bawling my eyes out and had the most lovely anaesthetist sitting at the head end of the table just wiping my tears away for me! My exMIL apparently had her kids in an army hospital and you were up doing situps the next day rolleyes.gif

KP - I don't know where I got the other babyboy.gif from, must be going wacko.gif I was sure we had another one..... ooops rolleyes.gif

I've only gone back for the preview pane, sorry girls!

I want to see these SS pressy pics, c'mon!!!! wink.gif

Good Morning Girls waves.gif

I thought I may have had the start of something last night. I was lying on the couch and started to get some low pains and BH. Went to bed about 10.30 and was still have very strong BH and low pain. It didn't feel quite 'the same' as the period type pain I had with DD so wasn't too alarmed but very curious as to what was going on. I managed to fall asleep and woke a couple of hours later with the same pains and BH, managed to fall asleep again and woke again a couple of hours later with pains again.
I got up to go to the toilet and had a slight burning sensation afterward so then was worried my UTI was coming back and that was the reason for the pains. I had two big glasses of water and went to sleep again. I woke up a couple more times to go to the toilet and the pains had stopped and I had no more burning sensation.

It was very strange and I wish I knew what was going on. I might buy some Ural today just in case it's the UTI and I'm gonna drink plenty of water.

Atleast with DD when my water broke in the middle of the night I knew exactly what the pains were laughing2.gif

duck-o-lah
Morning!

I think I need a Dyson! We've got 3 cats and 2 dogs atm, come spring (shedding time!) this place is gonna be so gross!

Eviesmum, I love those mornings when you get the motivation and energy to do a whole lot of stuff, good for u!

Lorraine, thanks for hugs! I hope you don't have any nasty bugs lurking and you and DH feel better, yay for your DH cleaning the oven wub.gif DH has a couple of days off coming up, I'm writing a list!

Jak, yay for shoppning! I'm gonna go out tomorrow after my OB appt and finish getting stuff for my hospital bag. I'm sick of DH nagging at me to pack it, not that I reckon this little fella's gonna be here anytime soon glare.gif

Hey cookie, I saw your thread in the other section, I hope you are feeling ok, sorry if my reply didn't make much sense!

Perjiggity, damn car! How wierd that your antenatal ppl only want to see you on Monday wacko.gif If they were so keen to fit you in wouldn't they be more accomodating? How stoopid... yay for your washing machine though!

Rose, your ex inlaws sound like a dream...not! I'm so over ppl pushing their natural birthing agendas on other people (can't tell I've been wandering around the less civilised parts of these forums laughing2.gif) I can't believe you've only got 9 days left!!! Is that right? You must be so excited!

Beck, hope your pains ease, or at least eventuate into some action!

AFM, much better day today, yesterday was a shocker. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed me thinks. I made a lamb roast last night, when I pulled it out of the oven it was soooo underdone cry1.gif Half an hour later it was still not ready, I then realised my bump had turned the oven right down to 160 without me realising laughing2.gif I guess Max wanted it slow cooked blink.gif

I got the recipe for that wicked cake they made on masterchef, I'm buying supplies over the next few days and dedicating an entire day to its creation, mwahahahaha! dev (6).gif

bryce's-mummy
Good Morning mums, bumps and babies

Last night was the baby shower dinner- it was lovely! My friend Karina organised it for me and she even decorated the table with pink butterfly table scatters (butterflies to match bub's room), did a jelly babies in a bottle guessing game (where you have to guess the amount of lollies in the baby bottle), and guess babies birthdate, weight and time of birth. She even had a bottle of wine all done up with pink ribbon for the eventual winner of the baby guessing game! She is so very thoughtful. She bought a cake and decorated it with ribbon and baby girl babygirl.gif decorations! So yes, Cookie, we have some good friends so it evens out the probs with our family. I took my camera last night but am a little upset today cos I didn't actually end up taking any pics! Oh well...

Reb- I really hope it's not another UTI and the pains go away (or turn into labour!). It's strange about waters breaking before the onset of labour- I was induced with Bryce and my waters broke by themselves after the gels but with Hamish I went into labour naturally but they broke them to push the labour along! They said it is not very common for the waters to break at the beginning! Not sure what the % is though.

Tam- beautiful name. rolleyes.gif Congratulations again. Can't wait to see pics!

Baby engagement- I don't think bubs' head is anywhere near my pelvis- instead it's sitting above it but my middie appoint is tomorrow so I'll find out for sure then.

Yesterday we finally cleaned the cars inside and out including the boys' carseats and DH even cleaned my oven for me- it was filthy! Today we are going to a train museum where they are having a Thomas the Tank week- so there'll be Thomas rides, showbags, jumpy castle etc. And since the weather is so nice we thought we'd treat the boys. Then it's home in time to cook a roast...yum!

Enjoy your sunday all original.gif

Lorraine: Sounds like you had a wonderful time at dinner last night. What a thoughtful friend you have. Love the idea of the jellybaby game. I'll have to remember that one for any future baby showers.
Re waters breaking, I didn't know that it was 'rare' for that to be the first sign of labour. I must say it took me by surprise. I got up to go to the toilet at 3am, go back into bed and suddenly there was a pop and a trickle - I had no other signs that labour was imminent.

Ok Girls can I ask what may be a slightly TMI Q re mucous plug. I went to the toilet (yet again) a while ago and had a huge amount of whitish/slightly yellow CM on my undies. Does this sound like the mucous plug or is a lot of discharge normal at this stage of pg?
Maple Leaf
reb, I have read that increased discharge is normal at this stage....yay for us! lol. So I would guess it would be that, it is happening to me as well.
Eviesmum
Morning ladies. No babies overnight??? Poo

I went on another cleaning jag this morning. Not as bad as yesterday as my hips are too sore but wiped out and re-organised the pantry chucked out expired food all that jazz looks very nice (will last about 2 days).

Thats all poor kids are being iignored in favor of cleaning.

Reb - I have had the increased discharge too. I wear a panty shield nowdays otherwise I just feel too icky but it is yellowish/clear. I lost my plug with DS it was (TMI coming up) more greenish/yellow and blood tinged. I think you will know it when you see it.

Lorraine - That is so lovely what a lovely friend. I have never had a baby shower but I dont mind too much. Now I will have 3 kids at least I cant be called on to throw one biggrin.gif

Duck - LOL at the bump knocking the dial I am always misjudging mine. I didnt have the energy to clean but I could not stop myself. I am a bit anal at the best of times and it is just in overdrive at the moment. I really want to scrub walls but will wait til 38 weeks just in case it sets something off. Oooh I dont watch masterchef what sort of cake is it??

Lilfrankie - MIL's what a biatch. I am all about the easy birth. I couldnt believe that herald sun article with that male OB saying women should not be permitted pain relief as the pain is nessacery to make them good mothers. What a crock. I am having the epi put in immediately. I have tried the no drugs and it didnt make me a better mother just cranky and sore original.gif

Perjiggity - Damn on the car. I really hate them sometimes they are just money guzzling. At least the washing machine is something to be cheerful about.

Cookie - I alternate between wanting her out and being scared of how I will cope afterwards and thisis my 3rd!! Trust me once your bub is out you will be fine and nothing else will matter. Once you have kids time just flies by. Just find little moments of your PG to enjoy each day holding that newborn in your arms is the best feeling in the world.

Ah well I am going to lie on the couch like a whale and watch the Tigers play this afternoon. DS and I watch together and it is a really nice time for both of us. I am teaching him all about the rules and he snuggles up to me. I really enjoy it.

Enjoy your sunday ladies
Jak80
BM Sounds like you have some wonderful friends out there! As the saying goes you can choose your friends not your family!!
We took our boys to the National Railway Museaum, Thomas exibition last year. It was okay but very Exx!! I hope you all have a good time! I think we only stayed an hour or two (including lunch)...

Reb Dont you hate all these weird pains?? Either be labour pains or just leave us alone!!!

Duck I'm always burning (well heating up) my baby bump on the oven top! They just get in the way. My bump doesnt turn down my oven DS2... He is constantly playing with the oven! Little bugger....
Hope your roast was nice once it finally cooked!!

Rose Not long till Olivia enters the world!!

perjiggity Sorry to hear about the car! I am over cars. DH got a quote to get our new 4WD serviced $450!! and thats a minor service... In the end he did it himself, and for $110 he did the 4WD and my little buzz box! Car service places see you coming and up the prices!!!

cookie84 Dont worry I am freaking out about labour too and this is my third!!!

AFM Going to do the hospital tour today (as long as all the delivery suites arent all taken up!) Thought I better find out where to go etc...

Ahh better go, there is a smell in the air that I am sure you are all going to enjoy in a few months!!!

Have a great sunday xox

kettricken
hi ladies

Just wrote a lovely war and peace epic to catch up after so long away but my computer ate it. So unfortunately Ill have to give you the abridged version.

I was finally diagnosed with previa at 32 weeks after my uncooperative placenta decided not to move up, followed by an overnight stay at hospital for a bleed shortly after. Luckily got discharged and was fine for the next month. Unfortunately it didnt last and I was admitted for another bleed at 36ish weeks on Monday night. My hospital has decided Im too complicated a case to treat and referred me down to Nepean. On Tuesday I went down to what I thought I was a simple appointment to make a booking for a caesar. For some bizarre reason my bp was too high that day and I was not allowed to go home. Since then I have been cooling my rather attractively swollen heels in the antenatal ward, enjoying the gourmet cuisine and the friendly staff. Since then my bp has returned to normal and I have no further bleeds but they refuse to let me out as I live too far away. Ive even offered to stay at my sisters who lives about ten minutes away but no dice unfortunately. Im trying to stay positive thinking its for the best but I have a long time to wait until my scheduled caesar on the 30th. Until then I will be watching a lot of crappy day time tv.

Its been lovely to see we have some early babies, only wish I could be so lucky! And some lovely name choices so far!
Hope all you ladies are keeping well and hopefully I can get back online at some stage in the future and see if we have any further additions.

apologies for the vent! ohmy.gif .
cookie84
Kettricken - Sorry to hear you have had such a rough time. Good to hear the bleeds have stopped and just think not too much longer now and your baby will be in your arms original.gif

I thought it was time to post my SS present, isnt it cute!

and my 37.5 week belly
kp07
Kettricken, sorry to hear how you've spent the last 6 weeks.. I hope the next few weeks up until c-day aren't too long and don't drag for you..

Reb, your mucus plug is the consistency of egg whites but can either be clear, slightly pink or greenish (if greenish it can be a sign of muconium which you should report to a middie asap..

I had my waters break (with a very slow trickle) this time I knew I hadn't wet myself, but there was very little fluid right up until DS2 came out.. Plug then followed which is weird as I thought logically it would the other way round, plug then fluid! I guess I'm just weird!!

Rose, here's hoping the next week dashes past for you, or Olivia does her funky little dance for you!!

Shannon, sorry to hear that you are stressed out about labour.. I can totally understand your fears.. I was absolutely crapping myself even more so when I went into labour 7 weeks early with DS1.. It is the great unknown that you are stepping into but believe me the reward at the end makes it all worth while.. You have the most fantastic prize at the end that makes all those tears of fear/anxiety and pain all totally worth while and mostly forgotten afterwards!

Vic, Lol at max playing with the oven already!! I hope the roast was yummy once it cooked, it made me hungry just reading about it!

No more baby news yet huh? Who thinks they will be next??/
