I was only reading about her upcoming surgery this afternoon. That is so sad.

I am actually sitting here looking at the picture. This picture really gave people hope and to me really sums up the volunteers and their caring nature. It has almost brought me to tears. Ever since Black Saturday I have been working on the fires and in the recovery process, I work with the fire service and am based in the middle of it all and I can't explain what feelings this sad news has created.

Oh I saw this on the news tonight and I was pretty much holding it together till they interviewed the fire figher.
