Sorry to come in and ask this, but I want to help out someone.

A friend of mine has just come into work saying that she's been bleeding excessively since last night. She's gone through about 5 maternity pads since last evening and needed to change sheets and such. The blood is clotted too. She's quite distressed by the blood loss and has been feeling weak and dizzy.

Does this sound like a MC? If it is, what can she do?

I have instructed her to contact her doctor, but I was hoping some ladies here might be able to help.

Thankyou kindly

Hi Purplemeezer,

How many weeks pg is your friend? I'll be honest with you and say that if she is bleeding and clotting that much, it doesn't sound good. Her dizziness would be related to her blood loss and she should get herself to a dr asap.

Let me know how you get on. Thinking of you.

Take care,

Shelly, if it is a MC, she did not know she was PG.

I've told her to go home. She's still bleeding lots. She's not been able to speak to her doctor (she is on housecalls at the moment).

She's got regular pains occurring.

Hopefully she can get in contact with her doctor soon. I am concerned with the amount of bloodloss and the pain she is in.

Thankyou again

If she's bleeding that much and with clots and can't get to speak or see her GP, I'd recommend going to Emergency at the local hospital. They can check you out sooner.
