I am the new moderator for the Home Birthing section here on EB. Some of you might know me from around EB already - I have two children, Willow was born in a public hospital and she is now five and a half. Dexie was born at home - I had amazing midwifery care throughout my pregnancy with him and a fantastic birth at home. He is now nearly three, it blows me away to think that the little boy running around singing the alphabet was once so small!
I have to admit that the politics around denying access to safe homebirthing has frustrated me, so I haven't been in this section very much lately. Plus there is the minor matter of lacking time, with working four days a week and being at uni on the other day!
I look forward to being a stable presence here. I have been a member of EB since May 2004, when I first found out that I was pregnant with Willow!
