Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone here caught this film as I have taped it and it has a warning at the start about it being a bit graphic and that it has content that may disturb some viewers. Now I am all for horror movies but not sure if I should risk the gross out or if I should just delete it.

TIA.

Warning sensitive content below... (and possibly a spoiler, didn't see beginning so not sure how much is given and how much is revealed as movie progresses).

I saw some of it last year. I missed the beginning and then couldn't stomach it long enough to finish it. It's not scary as in nightmare on elm st scary, but gruesome and awful. The basic idea is that there is a woman who makes aborted fetuses into dumplings. The dumplings are like an elixir of youth. The movie is off...

ETA: It must be a popular film though as I'm pretty sure I saw it on SBS last year, so it must be back by popular appeal...

EWWWWW. That sounds a bit too much.
Did it have a point? Or is it just shock value crap?

I think the Director is a well regarded filmaker.

Sounds ever so pleasant.

Well, there was no apparent point apart from making a comment about greed, wealth, the pursuit of youth. I think there could have been better ways to make the point though... That said, I didn't see the end so who knows how it wrapped up.

I decided to delete without watching. I am already scarred for life by seeing real abortion photos that were listed on the politicians AbortSA website.
