My hairdresser is due in a couple of months and I want to give her a little gift for the new addition. I am having a lot of trouble finding something appropriate for her though. She's kinda rockabilly x grungy x Fitzroy chic (those that live in Melbourne). She is so funky, a simple romper just wouldn't cut it.
I found some great little baby Vans on ebay but lost the auction. I also found a website from the US that sells some very cool baby gear but the postage was way too much. (They had Pixies tees for babies - AWESOME!)

My budget is max $30.
Any advice on where I could look either online or IRL in Melbourne would be much appreciated.

OMG! They have Sid n Nancy tees - very tempted to grab one of those. Is it wrong for a baby to wear Sid n Nancy?

Not wrong at all, because the people who would actually get their noses out of joint probably wouldn't know who they are anyway

Did you see this one in the clearance section?

When is she due? T-shirts like that are a PITA on tny newborns, I'd suggest maybe a 00, by that stage they are robust enough that you can squeeze them into the head and arm holes

Baby goes Retro have some cool funky stuff :
http://www.babygoesretro.com.au/ Also, Frock You
http://www.frockyou.com.au. The best thing with Frock You is that they have free express postage.
I also second the other sites that people have suggested - have used them all before and been very pleased.

My poor brilliant mind

had a momentary lapse and it took me a few reads to work out whether this was pro or neg the tee.

Love it!

I love Rock Your Baby! My flower girls wore black RYB dresses and my nephew the faux tuxedo t-shirt to our wedding
They are my go to for being the indulgent Auntie or friend who buys totally impractical but cool clothes.

Earlier today I ordered some tshirts from rockyourbaby. I got the cowboys and indians, retro badges and happy camper (highly ironic given his mood this morning.)
If you're into organic clothing I have made a few purchases from this store. They have a clearance section too. I hope my link works.

recently a friend of mine had a baby (my hairdressing trainer), and another hairdresser gave her a brush and comb set with the babys name engraved on it. Its not cool, but you might be able to find something retro she would like.,
A brush and comb set is neither here nor there but for a hairdresser they would love that!
