Hi Oh and i are thinking about moving to Launceston. I was wondering if anyone can suggest good suburbs to look at? We want something that is no more than 20 minutes from the cbd and has big blocks but is not too crowded.
We have been looking at longford area but thought i would ask in case i am missing a great area.

Legana/Rosevears area would be another area to consider. About 10 - 20 minutes from CBD, and Rosevears in particular has several houses for sale with 3 -10 acres.

We're in Cressy which is a town past Longford. Anywhere out this way is really nice and peaceful and Longford itself is good , with lots of shops and a school and doctors etc. On the other sides of Launceston you could look at places like pipers river and turners marsh, Lilydale etc if your after rural - its lovely out that way and Lilydale has a district high school. Then like someone else mentioned out the other way from town theres roseveers and legana. Actually most areas on the outsides of Launceston are quite nice, its only when you get into the suburbs that you really find dodgy areas. If you want some more info on Longford and surrounds let me know - Perth might be an alternative to longford worth looking at if your after something a bit posh original.gif
