Hi

I've noticed in some recipes that they ask for fresh breadcrumbs....does that mean you use fresh bread & just stick it into a food processor ? Or do you toast it first but does that make it dry breadcrumbs ?

Are the bags of breadcrumbs you get from the bakers any different to the box of breadcrumbs you can get in the supermarket ?

Just a bit confused about this breadcrumb business.

Cheers

Not sure about the difference between breadcrumbs from the baker and the store.

I've always made my own breadcrumbs by placing bread in the food processor. I've only toasted it if the bread was freshly made on that day.
