I am after some help on explaining miscarriage to DD who is 5.

I really want to get this right, so would love some advice.

Hi kodi,

I had a mc last week but very early, only just found out I was pregnant.

Dd is 9 and we had told her I might be pregnant, she was going to be a big sister etc. After it happened I was able to say that I wasn't having a baby, that the egg in my tummy wasn't ready, and now I had my period, which is when the egg comes out and my belly makes a new egg.

Not very "polished" but the explanation worked for her.
