I'm flying to Hobart on Saturday and flying out Monday .
I'm staying in a hotel, catching the ferry to MONA, doing the walk down the mountain on Sunday, may go for a wander in the streets and pubs on Sat night and a wander around during the day too.
I have paid for only carry on baggage but I see that you are experiencing 15 degree days.Shudder. I'm from north NSW (now warm to hot Spring time).
Given that I can't carry luggage as such, what do you suggest i bring to wear?

thx

Bring thermals! It's been really cold the past two days... was 3.9 degrees at 5pm yesterday, and that's at the very north of the state. Hobart is always colder!

I'll be at a work conference Thurs/Fri and heading home Saturday.... was planning on Salamanca Markets, but there's going to be showers huh.gif

It has indeed been nippy. Bring thermals !

There's snow in some parts at the moment ohmy.gif
I'm with the others, bring at least a coat. Hopefully the cold snap won't last long, but it's unpredictable.

Have a lovely time in Hobart, it's a very beautiful place original.gif

Bring your winter gear. It's gotten so cold that I've actually turned the heater back on tonight. But it also changes quickly, so always the chance of sun. Though I doubt shorts or tanktops will be needed this weekend.

Its a beautiful day today, but definitely bring a jumper and coat (thermals are probabally going a bit overboard) We have had snow on the mountain this week but the week is meant to continue getting warmer and fine. I would, however, bring a rain coat or umbrella biggrin.gif

We had a frost this morning then I got sunburnt today! Spring weather in Tassie is crazy!

Haha, I was just coming in to say the same!

Bring layers, lots and lots of layers.

If you are at MONA Saturday afternoon, I might see you there wink.gif

I've decided to go on Sunday to give myself more time.

I'm doing the historic walk tour tomorrow then might go to the aquatic centre for a spa/swim/sauna then go to the Art Hotel. Sunday is MONA, then evening the new Woody Allen movie - want to come?

I've packed 2 singlets, 2 long sleeved tops, 2 cardigans and I'll just wear trousers and boots with socks - does that sound adequate? or do i need a coat on top of all that?
I have gloves, a scarf and a woolen beret too. And a light raincoat poncho and an umbrella.

Please don't strike tomorrow Jetstar!
