Hi Girls
Having had 3 m/c in 2004 ttc#1, I am currently fearful
of m/c no.4.
According to my dates I am 12 weeks and a few days
pregnant but by the last scan I had I would be 11weeks
today. I have been bleeding/spotting (dark brown - no
pink or red) pretty much everyday for almost 3 weeks
and it is really causing havoc with my mind!
I had a scan after I had been spotting for a week and
there was a heartbeat and plenty of movement (could
see head, limb buds etc) and the sonographer couldn’t
see why I was bleeding and told me to forget about the
dates being out and enjoy the fact that there is a
baby sitting in there quite happily. that worked for a
few days but now I am just dreading the (12week)
ultrasound next week.
I am really trying to be a positive as I can and some
days I just think that it is just one of those things
and this baby will be fine and i am “just one of those
women that bleeds through pregnancy”. I have to admit
to one or two teary days where I just wish I knew one
way or the other.
I have spoekn to my doctor and he says that most of
the time they never find out why women bleed and it
could have something to do with the placenta embedding
or something.
I know that others have been through this - how did
you cope? Did you have a positive outcome? I just wish
I knew where the blood was coming from.
sorry for my rant.

Potter - I wish there was something I can say to make you feel better! *hugs*
The best I can do is to say that a friend bled a fair way through one of her 6 pregnancies... Not continuously but she got light bleeding when ever her periods were due and it was put down to a hormonal reaction or something along those lines.
It's stupid for them to tell you not to worry and enjoy it when you don't know what is going on... But I hope to god that they are right.
Try not to stress... I know that is hard but stress is not good for the baby... even if you have to take time out every day to lay in a quiet spot with music and just relax.. try not to stress...
We're all here for you. I mean this in the nicest way possible... I don't want to see you back in ttc after m/c... Unless it is with good news. Wish I could say more.

Potter,
Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and I hope the bleeding stops really soon... Think positive for your little one, s/he sounds like they are perfectly fine in there. Good luck with your 12 weeks scan, I know how stressful it is....Have they diagnosed you with having a low placenta (previa) amybe that is what is causing the bleeding.....
Good luck

Potter
I bleed every day of my pg and at 16 weeks had a MAJOR bleed with a large clot coming out. My DD is a healthy 2 year old.....so it is possible to deliver a healthy child even if you bleed during the pg..
It does f##k with your head though, sorry.
Best of luck for next week.-hugs-

Hi Potter,
Just wanted to say good luck for your scan next week. I can understand how stressful and anxious this time is for you. I have just had my first scan and the dates were out for me too (by 6 days). The sonographer told me not to worry blah, blah, blah, but I am a nervous wreck too. I am sure things will work out well for you. Lots of hugs!!!
