Hello - anyone home??

I have been getting a faint BFP for a couple of days now but as AF was due today and didn't come I guess I can officially join this group. My EDD will be 1st october. I hope to stick around here and that someone else joins soon original.gif
Kez81
Hi Happybabies!
I've only just got a faint BFP yesterday, af is due tomorrow so I'm keeping everything crossed.
This will be our 2nd bub, L has just turned 1 on the 7th of Jan.

Congratulations! Looking forward to sharing the next 9 months bbabyflip.gif
Happybabies
Hi Kez - yay!! Hope AF stays away for both of us. This is my second bub too, and my little man is 8 months. Looks like we will both have our hands full.

I'm a POAS addict but the line doesn't seem to be getting darker. With DS I didn't get a BFP until 5 weeks so I'll try not to stress too much.

Any early symptoms for you? I've been napping when DS does as I'm really tired but I can also blame that on the weather and I've had some dull constant cramps but I have heard that can be your uterus getting ready for the job ahead. Apart from that, all good here.

Have a great day!! And judging by the amount of views this thread is getting we should have lots more joining us soon yay!!!
Maysie81
Hi Kez and Happybabies
I too have just found out I'm pregnant with number 2! My first is 15 months. My EDD is October 3, but I'll be having a C-section as my obst doesn't recommend vbac. So that may mean I'll be booked in for Sep... Do you think I'm still in the right group? No preg symptoms yet other than being extremely tired!
Hope you're both well and have an uneventful pregnancy!
Maysie
Kez81
Maysie I still think you're in the right group, my last DIG we had babies born from October almost to Feb but we were all at the same PG stages together. I'm also likely to be induced early again as I had pre eclampsia last time and my placenta had deteriorated pretty badly.
As for symptoms, my mouth keeps filling up with saliva, really gross but it was my first symptom last time too. I'm watching biggest loser ATM (hubby records it so he doesn't have to watch it) and have cried all the way through it so I'm blaming hormones for that too rolleyes.gif
Must go and do some work (I work from home 3 days and 2 in the office but still do full time hours).

Hoping to be able to join this thread!!!
Using the "when am I due" calculator, I will be due first week of Oct 2012... AF is due today..
blush.gif too scared to test!!!!
I get my hopes up too much every month and think every little niggle is a pregnancy sign, yet then write it off as just AF sign.
However, this month there is so far in the last few days/week - mild nausea, constipation, very windy!! Sorry for TMI! Sore (.)(.)'s, mild cramping but nothing like I get when AF is due...
So.. see I look far too much into everything!!!

hands.gif fingers crossed that AF is a no show.. this will be our 1st, and if due as I said above.. then would make for a beautiful 2nd wedding anniversary present!
Kez81
Fingers crossed Inara! hands.gif

Hi ladies, so pleased to see some others in here now!

I got my first BFP on Sunday (day P was due according to FF - I have slightly irregular cycles) and have tested using ICs every day since to make sure! Getting a bit darker but hoping for a nice, strong dark line in the next few days. FF predicts my EDD as 2nd Oct 2012 and this wil be #1 for us - yay!

To be honest, I am feeling pretty cr*ppy due to a nasty cold and not sure if it is an EPS or not. I know that pregnancy-related rhinitis is a possibility but have felt bad for at least a week, so who knows. I am finding it quite tough only using panadol and nasal saline spray as neither are doing much! sad.gif

I also have some fairly noticeable cramping and am currently worrying about the potential for an ectopic, so need to see my GP very soon but he seems to be closed this week annoyingly! Suspect this will be the first of many worries during my first pregnancy!!!
Happybabies
Hi everyone,

Welcome Geisha, Inara and Maysie - nice to see our group growing. Its still pretty early yet so I'm sure we'll have lots more people in no time.

Geisha - I can relate to the cramps but it feels like a dull ache today. I did read that it can be the uterus preparing for the growing it needs to do but it still feels period pains. I can't remember having them with DS but who knows!! I had a shocking cold in early pregnancy with DS too - not fun. Hope you feel better soon.

Inara - what a lovely present that will be. I admire your will power to not test. I was testing last thursday and only got a + on saturday. It has been really faint but still there. And I hear you on the excess wind problem - just another sign that something is going on down there....lol

Maysie - absolutely stay with us in here. You're baby will still be developing at the same rate as all the other october babies even if he/she comes early. DS was born 5 weeks early and I stayed in the same mums group.

Kez - this working/looking after baby/ and being pregnant thing is going to be hard work. I work 2 1/2 days and struggled today. Just need to get through first trimester (or so I keep telling myself).

AFM - I decided to hand over the $$ for a clearblue digital test today and got the pregnant - 2 -3 weeks that I had been waiting for. I had been testing on cheap internet ones but the line was really faint. So I guess this is it now - woo hoo!!!! I will probably hold off seeing my dr for a bit. Last time I was there at 5 weeks and had a dating scan at 6. Caused me lots of stress when they had trouble finding bubs but eventually he was there. I'll just hold out this time.

Anyway - hope you're all well and chat soon original.gif
My3beauties
Hi ladies,

I got a very faint BFP last night on an IC and this morning i got a very obvious BFP on a FRER - infact the second line came up before the control line.

I should be due around the 4th according to the online calcs.
littleurchin
Hi all,

I've been waiting for this group to pop up! I got a very faint BFP on Sunday afternoon, and another faint one yesterday morning. I am only due today so i'm going to see if its gotten darker tomorrow morning. That puts me at EDD 4th October. I have a toddler as well - 18 months old.

Even though its my second time round i can't stop thinking about it! Its going to drive me crazy keeping it quiet at work i think, i'm hopeless at secrets! But at least i'll be busy, i work a 9 day fortnight and chase a toddler around the rest of the time. Hopefully i don't get too tired in this first trimester!

Inara - just do it! Testing is part of the fun. Will keep my fingers crossed for you hands.gif
Maysie - definitely the right group!
My3beauties - we are due on the same day at this stage if both our calculations are correct! Mine is part guess though as this was the first month i was off the pill and i have no clue what day i actually ovulated - we were just guessing!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you over the next 9 months!
Maysie81
Thanks all for telling me to stay! This is my first time ever posting on a forum, Loving it so far!
Don't stress about some niggly cramps, I had them with no1 the whole time. But def check with Dr to ease your mind.
Can someone tell me what BFP means? I've figured out most of the acronyms but this one has me stumped.

geishagirl
Maysie...BIG FAT POSITIVE!

There is a list of abbreviations under the Newbies Comfy Couch section...sorry can't link as on phone.
Maysie81
Ahhh! Thanks Geishagirl
~Inara~
OK, so I bought a pack of 3 tests last night. If I still have nothing today I will test in the am...

Thanks for the support! As for will power.. it's more that I am scared of getting that BFN... BUT I want to make sure that I don't drink tomorrow if I am. so I will know I guess within the next 24 hours...

oomg2.gif This is painful!!!! Every twinge I get I think AF is coming!!!

Have been hungry, and real tired today, even though I had a full good night's sleep. So hard to not build myself up only to be let down!
littleurchin
Good luck for tomorrow morning Inara!! I couldn't wait and tested early - I have since done 3 more tests to make sure that the line is getting darker!!
But fully understand the hunger thing! But sometimes I think it's head playing tricks on me! Not tired though so that's a bonus.
Booked into my midwifery clinic today, as they only take limited numbers. Except I got told as a previous patient I would have automatically gotten in!! If only I had known that!!
JungleFlower2012
Hi all.

I am Stevie. I am now pregnant with my 3rd due on October 6th. I got myu first (10) VFP's today. (thank god for the ebay tests!!) I went out and got some Frs and got 2 more positives today at about 2pm.

We have been trying since sept.

We have 2 daughters ages 1 and 3.

Much love to you all!. wink.gif

Hi all,

Got my BFP yesterday arvo after being one day late. Then did another test this morning... still BFP.gif - pwew!!! Will continue to test for the next few days (or weeks tongue.gif )

Have been to a few due date calculators online. Most say due 1st Oct, some 28th Sep. This will be bub #2 for DH and I. DS is 17months, and was 10 days overdue!!!

We are both over the moon and can't wipe the smile off our faces biggrin.gif

No symptoms for me yet, just super hungry.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you ladies.

Have been waiting for this DIG to start up...

Hi everyone, my name is Nicola, and I am pregnant with bub number 2 (EDD 1 October 2012). We officially found out last Saturday, but I succumbed and POAS a couple of days before that (this is an IVF bub).

I am very excited, but a little scared as well, as DS is only 6 months at the moment...

am looking forward to getting to know you all
CubaLulu
Hi Ladies! I hope it's okay if I join in too? I got my BFP today (9DPO) and FF calculates my due date to be the 8th of October original.gif The first test I did was an IC, and I wasn't expecting to see a line... But then I saw there was a line, VERY faintly! So I raced out and got a digital test and it came up 1-2 weeks pregnant!
It's still sinking in at the moment, it almost doesn't feel real!!
I'm looking forward to chatting with you ladies over the next 8+ months original.gif
tanya24jackson
I am due late late September but there is no group for me so I will hang around your group if thats ok with you ladies!

This is my first and was not planned but my boyfriend and I (2 years dating and now living together in a house we own) are very excited but also know there alot of planning before she arrives.

I don't know the sex, but I refuse to call my little bub 'it' so ill alternate between he/she until I know.

My boobs are huge!!! My boyfriend loves it but they are so sore so I tell him to stay away! lol.
I have had a bit of random cramping but it only lasts 10 mins at a time..

I am so excited but I am worried about a miscarrage - chances are low since I am 24 but you never know.

I have changed my whole diet (alot more fresh fruit and steamed veges than before).

See you around ladies!!

Love Tanya and bub.
Happybabies
Hi everyone - happy australia day!!

Hope you all have a great day. We're having my parents around for a bbq and it will be very hard not to tell them about the baby but mum's birthday is in february so I want to wait until then. I'll be 8 weeks then and out of the first danger period so I'll feel better about telling people. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks when I was 18 so I'm a bit cautious.

I've decided not to rush into seeing my dr this time. I had an early dating scan with DS and it caused me so much stress when she couldn't find him. She ended up doing an internal and there he was. I think I'll go to my dr and then straight to my OB and he can do a scan in his rooms.

Is anyone else not finding out the sex of the baby?? We are going to have a surprise. We have sooo many gender neutral clothes from when DS was born even though we knew he was a boy. We honestly don't mind if its a boy or girl so we thought we might as well keep it a surprise.

Anyway - time to get up and start cooking.

Chat soon xxx

Happy Australia Day, Ladies original.gif

Happybabies ~ I hope you have a lovely day with your parents. I'm also holding out to Feb before we tell our parents, because I'm going down south to my Dad's wedding on the 15th, and I really want to tell him in person! After we get back we'll then tell the rest of our parents too. I know most people wait till the 12 week mark to tell, and we will wait till after the first scan to announce it to our friends. But there is no way I can keep this from my parents this long, and Feb will be the only chance I get to tell Dad in person original.gif

As for finding out the sex, we are also having a surprise. I have always wanted to find out, but DH really wants the surprise and as you said, it really doesn't matter either way for us. I've always preferred neutral tones for babies anyway, so we'll just stock up on a lot of whites wink.gif

Tanya ~ I totally agree with you re: calling the baby 'it'! It's one of my big pet-peeves! When referring to other people's babies in the past, I have just said 'baby' instead of 'it'. I think 'When is baby due' sounds much nicer! lol! I guess I'll just do the same, unless we think up a cute nick-name for our baby original.gif

Have a great day everyone... Hooray for public holidays!!

geishagirl
Hi everyone

Hope you're having a happy Australia Day...stuck inside here in Sydney due to heavy rain. sad.gif

Well, my cold finally seems to going thank goodness! I have had a miserable few days coughing, sneezing and blowing my nose constantly so really pleased to be coming out the other side now! In terms of other symptoms, still getting a bit of cramping but generally just feel bloated and sort of 'twingey', with very sore boobs but no nausea as yet. I also seem to have lost my appetite a bit, rather than being ravenously hungry as seems to be more common. It might just be the humid weather though; I am English by birth and even after 8 years in Aus, I still suffer!!

By the way, Is anyone else in Sydney? Particularly inner west/eastern suburbs? I tried to call RHW and RPA to figure out how to go about booking into the birth centres but didn't get very far...probably a bit dumb calling on public holiday anyway. Anyone have any experience of these two hospitals?

Hi CubaLulu! So nice to see you here, hope some other TTC#1 girls can join us soon! I have no idea if we'll find out the sex yet...DH doesn't think I am capable of not knowing as I'm a total control freak, but I do like the idea of a surprise. Trouble is I know how to read an u/s so will probably figure it out for myself anyway.

Bye for now!

GG
CubaLulu
Hi GeishaGirl grin.gif I hope we get more ladies from our TTC#1 tread too... they are all so deserving, I just want them all to get their BFPs!

Well, oddly enough, my DH asked me this morning if I'm going to want to find out the sex of baby... and when I said I would like to but I thought he didn't, he just replied that he doesn't want me to be wishing to know and not knowing just because of him! So now it looks like we ARE going to find out! original.gif A little part of me still thinks a surprise would be nice. But I also want to know NOW what my baby is... so I think when the time comes I'll want to know.

I'm off for a little lie down now. I can't get over how tired I'm feeling!
Kez81
Just popping in to welcome everyone, so glad the group is growing so fast!
Re calling bub "it" I hate it too, with L we alternated between he/she until people thought that meant we knew the sex, from then on she was the bubba. This one is squirt.
Going to make a gp appt tomorrow and get a referral for my OB. Might be easier this time since we've been before but they book out here really quickly so you have to get in early (I'm in Newcastle NSW).
Will write a better post tomorrow when I get a chance at work. Hope everyones had a good day, hubby isn't well so we had a very quiet day!

I already have 2 little girls DD1 will be 3 the end of next month and DD2 just turned 1 on NYE. so far im feeling pretty good just a little crampy and can feel things stretching already. Update:
Tested wed night - BFN.gif
still really hungry, cramping, tired. and most of all....still no AF.
overdue by 4-5 days now.

Really really hoping that I am PG as my very close friend came for Australia Day and told me that she was PG.. So if I am.. we are due a week apart... will be really exciting if i can just get that BFP!!!

Didn't sleep well at all last night, so off to have a nap!
COngrats to all the BFP's!
littleurchin
I was just thinking of you yesterday Inara as i noticed you hadn't posted again.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you still get that BFP.gif as its still a possibility the longer you dont get a visit from AF!

I was 5 days past AF due date when i got my first BFP with my DS - i was certain i was preggers but just couldn't get that positive!! This time it was 3 days before AF was due so go figure!

Remember - morning testing can be better as its stronger.

Good luck xx

Welcome to mum2princesses0910 as well!
Jaxons_Mum
Hi everyone,
I got my BFP.gif on Sunday and by my calculations will be due on 2nd October. We fell pregnant first try and I am still shocked as we had BD 6 days prior to O. We were swaying for a girl so hopefully in with a chance.

I currently have DS1 who will be 3 in Feb and DS2 who not long turned 1. A little bit worried about having my hands full, but I am sure I will be fine. We have already told close friends and family as we were to excited to keep it a surprise. Everyone was really happy except for my mum who took it as the worst news ever. She really upset me at first but I am trying not to let it worry me. I don't rely on her for help and hardly ever ask her to babysit, so it doesn't really affect her.

Some syptoms are starting to kick in. I am still breastfeeding DS2 and that is starting to get uncomfortable. My nose has also been super sensitive. I noticed that symptom at 7DPO and thought that it must have been all in my head.

mum2princesses0910 are you from NA? If so, we were pregnant together last time and were only due a few days apart.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Jacinta

jaxons_mum as soon as i saw your name i wondered if it was you original.gif So yes its me lol
sorry to hear your mum was so negative. Im worried about telling mine to to honest, i think she ll worry im in over my head ( i ll have 3 kids in 3 1/2 yrs) but i hope she will still be happy

Hows everybody else? still sinking in?

So who is gonna wait til 12 weeks to tell ? I think we will

Im starting to feel a little off already when i get hungry. i hope the MS isnt bad this time when it fully kicks in in a couple of weeks
J4CQUI
Hi ladies! I'll be joining you all in here. I found out last Sunday that baby number 5 is on the way wub.gif . We have 3 boys and a girl already. They are 9, 7, 4 and 3.
I will have a dating scan in about 2wks time to find out exactly when I'm due because I'm pretty sure I O'd early, and I've been having short cycles. It will be somewhere between September 30th - October 3rd.. but I always go way overdue anyway so it will definitely be an October baby.
So far the only symptom I've been getting is a realllllly sore back. I've been noticing I wake up with a sore back each morning since about a week before I got my BFP and now every time I do anything like ironing or hanging clothes on the airer my back just aches.

littleurchin ~ I know what you mean... I think I'm obsessed by pregnancy. I just can't stop thinking about it! So exciting!

Stevie ~ I'm pretty grateful for those ebay tests too! Normal ones are so expensive!

Cathy ~ You sound like me.. I have done 8 tests so far! haha.

Nicola ~ Congratulations on your IVF miracle! How nice to have your babies so close together.. my first 2 are only 17mths apart and they're so close now even though they're boy/girl.

CubaLulu ~ Those digital tests are great aren't they! That's so great that you got a line on an IC test too... I have never found them to be very sensitive.

Tanya ~ What was the reason for changing your diet? Cravings? I find I'm craving healthier foods now... I always seem to do that at the start of pregnancy.

Happybabies ~ I hope you were able to resist the temptation to tell your parents on Australia Day... it's so hard sometimes though isn't it! I just want to scream it from the rooftops! haha.
Surprise baby for us too... I love it that way.

Jaxons_Mum ~ I have a Jaxon too! :-) Mine is turning 5 soon. It's becoming such a popular name now.
I'm sorry to hear about your Mum's reaction to your pregnancy.. that's really not what you need when you're so excited.

Inara ~ I'm sorry to hear you won't be joining us. I hope you get your BFP soon! x

mum2princesses09 ~ Being that it's my 5th baby I think I'll probably be showing too early to wait until 12wks to tell anyway hahaha... plus we usually tell family and friends around the 8wk mark. (With the exception of my best friend who knew straight away :-) )
I hope your M/s isn't too bad for you this time!

HI to anyone I've missed... big congratulations to everyone on your BFP's! hands.gif Fingers crossed we all have a very boring 8mths ahead of us!
CubaLulu
Hi Ladies, I hope you all had a lovely Saturday!

Sorry AF arrived Inara. I hope your BFP comes for you next month x

Jacqui ~ as this is our first baby (I'm still learning the ropes!) can you tell me if you always get a dating scan? I know exactly when I O'd because I have a very clear bi-phasal temp chart that shows a very clear difference in my pre O and post O temps. So will I need the dating scan if I know this? I hope you don't mind me asking!

Mum2princesses ~ I don't know if it HAS sunk in yet!! Every now and then I just think OH MY GOODNESS! I'm going to be a MUM! wink.gif As for telling anyone, I don't think we are going to wait till the 12 week mark. We told a couple of our closest friends who knew we were ttc (one is preg as well) and we're telling our families after I see my Dad for his wedding in February so I can tell him in person. I think we'll tell the rest of our friends at a party we are going to at one of their places in March... that way they are all together to get our news! I'll be close to 12 weeks by then anyway.

AFM ~ well the tiredness has kicked in already... is this normal?!! I'm only 12 DPO and I am SOO tired! Sorry everyone in advance if I ask too many questions, I was adopted so can't ask my Mum these things, and I'm not close to my MIL so I wouldn't feel right asking her (we're not telling her for another month or so anyway!) and I know some of you ladies have the experience and wisdom to pass on! On that note... I'm off to bed, I renewed my first aid today and then we went to a friend's house for dinner so I am shattered! Have a happy Sunday everyone original.gif

J4CQUI
Ask away! biggrin.gif I don't mind at all! I can only comment on personal experience but I certainly don't mind being asked questions.

The tiredness is normal. It doesn't hit everyone so early but I am feeling exactly the same, exhausted! (Well.. more exhausted than I already was with my busy life hahaha.. I had 2 extra kids last night!)

Not everyone gets a dating scan. The only scan you have to get is the 20wk Morphology scan. I like to get a 'dating scan' mostly just so I can see that little heart beating away! We lost our first baby at 9wks so I like that reassurance. It will also be good to confirm my dates because I'm not certain of when I O'd, because I was having short cycles.
I don't get the Nuchal Translucency test (scan and blood test) done at 12 weeks so a dating scan is the only chance for me to see our baby this early in the pregnancy.

How nice to be pregnant at the same time as one of your friends! My best friend is pregnant too! She found out a week before me biggrin.gif

Can anyone tell me, are you annoyed with my topic starters? I came from another foprum page (that changed so i dont understand it anymore LOL) but we didnt all speak on one thread, we just spoke about everything on the one page and started whatever threads we wanted? So this is all new to me , with speaking all on one topic thread. Noo... not annoying at all Stevie! The set up in here has really changed since I was last in a due in group..
I am assuming most of the chit chat will happen in the main thread but I think it's great that we can specifically ask questions in our own little threads like that. As the main thread gets busier, not everyone will read the whole thing so having separate threads for questions is a great way of making sure everyone sees them. biggrin.gif
JungleFlower2012
Thank you for your reply J4CQUI i was afraid i was annoying everyone. Thank you original.gif

Stevie.
mum2princesses0910
doesnt annoy me either StevieRaines. the set up has really changed in the last yr. the month was split into 2 where now the whole month is together. We did all our chatting in the main thread too. any questions we just asked and answered in here. We moved to facebook towards the end (where we still all chat now)

Im happy to answer any questions too. the first time is scary every little cramp scares you. Cramping is normal even spotting is normal. With my DD 1 h had spotting at 10 weeks and raced to the doctor crying my eyes out. She was fine but i was so scared. With DD2 when i happened again i still freaked a little but not so much lol
OMG Finally!!
Hello Hello Hello....

Ahhhhhh I can't believe I'm posting in here... a little bit excited... sorry...

Here is a tiny bit of the story... I have a 4.5 year old... had post naetal for the first year, second year had a hernia op, third year had the same hernia op done again and have now been TTC for 18 months.... and yesterday morning I FINALY got a BFP!!!! BFP.gif

We are soooo excited.. due about 7th October from my calculations. Haven't told anyone yet... its nice having my own little secret!
Feeling - very tired, lots of cramps coming and going (they are kinds scary - I don't remember them with my son actually) bigger (.)(.) and very gassy (sorry TMI!) Also seem to have completely gone off tomatoes.... weird!

Can't wait to travel the next 8 or so months with you all!
J4CQUI
Congratulations and Welcome! Sounds like you've had quite an eventful journey to get here... fingers crossed it's a boring 8mths for you!

I love seeing how many people are reading this thread! laughing2.gif I hope it means our group will be growing soon! :-)
JECJEC
Hi all. I am so excited!

Did a test on friday - no good.

Ducked to the shops and decided to get an ovulation kit because we have been trying and no luck.

So...i thought my breasts were feeling different and thought I would do another test....and I got a second line.

Very early days but I am so happy and hubby is not here to share the news with.

Think I would be due the 9th October.

Now after all that I will stalk the list.
OMG Finally!!
Welcome JECJEC!!

Hi ladies,

We found out a week ago we are expecting baby #4 (surprise baby!) edd around 9/10. No symptoms yet other than niggly back ache so trying to get as much done as I can before symptoms set in. I have had three boring pregnancies and births to date so hoping this one follows suite. Nice to see some larger families on board too biggrin.gif . Congratulations all.
