Basic courtesy and manners, that seem to be lacking in today's society. It doesn't hurt to say please or thank you, or even excuse me or bless you when someone sneezes. I want to promote and encourage great manners.....which they have at home, then seem to vanish when they are around other peoples little monsters who lack them.
MuffTuft
Putting things away!! The goal is that everything has its rightful place, and there will be less mess and clutter, and more time to play if we don't have to spend ages picking up after ourselves. I want to teach them not to have to double handle, by immediately putting things straight back in their correct and rightful place......like we did before they came along!! Might even have to start rewarding their father for this too original.gif
ernesto69.
Helpfulness, I really want to promote and encourage them to aid and assist wherever their little hands and bodies are capable. And I don't mean big things, little things like helping Mum set the table, or pairing socks when the washing comes in. By starting small, they'll grow up to be independent and able to do it all, and more, not waiting for someone else to do things for them. I want them to be go getters, not lazy bums!! Like their Mum who can and does do it all and so much more.
sne
I want to promote kindness, cooperation and tolerance within my household. We are a blended family and sometimes there is a sometimes his vs hers vibe which I want to gently stop. We are all part of the same family now. Not everyone gets on all the time but if we have kindness, cooperation and tolerance we can sort out the disagreements quickly and in a non hurtful way.
-*meh*-
For my high anxiety and quick to temper boy the two goals of being able to try a new thing, and to walk away
Mariamsmum
Elfie Love reward packs have perfectly encapsulated my goals for my children: look after themselves, follow their routine, be respectful and value their friends/family.
cms26
In Nanna's house the goal is for children and Nanna having an 'amazing day' so that there are surprises and happy stories to take home.
Neat22
Their goals are achievable for ages 3 and 5 years. Tidying own room, pack up after play. Brush own hair and teeth. I'm there if need be, but it's the self-help that is giving independance; skills. Which is enough of a goal for now original.gif
milasmum
I'd like to promote and encourage independence for themselves and respect for others (age appropriate for a 2, 4, and 6yr old) within our household!
trixh
Good manners since they reflect on what kind of parents and upbringing they have.
Mrs Miller
Honesty, Responsibility, particularly financial responsibility. I'll teach my children to work hard for what they want and to set financial goals so they can be in a better position than I am.

3_for_me
I need to teach my children independence in caring for themselves, others and their surroundings, especially as two of them are on the autism spectrum and struggle with this.
mzmumma81
With 2 kids under 5 with special needs ,everyday is a reward in my household. to get through everyday the best we can is our goal. original.gif
ziggo
To encourage good manners, listening skills and co-operation with daily activities, like getting dressed, putting toys away, going to bed at night ect.

I want to encourage them to believe in their own special talents, to have the confidence to try new things and go and enjoy the adventure of life!
Chris20
I teach my children manners explaining why they must say please and thank you. I also teach them to put toys away and clean up as they go.

I have a 14month old and a 3.5 year old, so we'd focus mostly on;

- Being nice to each other, playing fair and sharing things.
- Tidying up after themselves (more so for the 3 year old).

baileysmummy73
My goals for my nearly 3 yr old are to have good manners in and out of the home, pack his toys away when he finishes..Share his things...
mustangsachy
Master 3 going to sleep in his OWN bed. He sleeps with daddy in our fantastically expensive bed while I sleep on afoldout lounge sad.gif I haven't slept beside hubby for almost 2 years!

We created a rod for our own back when he was very little but now it is time to FIX it. I would love to do so in a positive way - and soon. My back won't hold out much longer (or my patience for that matter).
sarahann104
Packing Away My youngest thinks everyone will do it for him.
Manners are something we are learning but he needs prompting and help.
kirsty129
that being good, listening and helping goes noticed, appreciated and rewarded....
changedbaby
Values - like respect, taking turns and cooperating - are goals I have for my twins. Rewarding their successes will help them see these values are important.

To be part of the family team so when she ventures into the world she will be able to be part of a team.
donkey12
To be a good boy,
Like sharing toys!
Speaking well with manners,
The stuff Nan thinks really matters!
MJLeaver

Respect, equality, teamwork and responsibility; so picking up toys, playing nicely & helping each other through the day.
giggleandhoot
Love and help each other - not rush to do 5 days of homework on one night (that's for me too) ....and sleep all night!
BadKitteh
We want to foster and develop goals of loving, caring and sharing and for DD to poo daily!
sharonmarkwell
I like to encourage rather than discourage, and boost my kids' confidence rather them drag them down. Positive remarks rather than negative!
MY 3 SONS X
My DS who has special needs relies on these reward charts for most day to day challangers and he responds really well to them. I draw up my own charts for him and put them on the fridge. There's honestly too many goals to mention!
shilto02
Currently toilet training is the big goal here, and with a new bub on the way, encouraging sharing would make for a good year!
gemgirl
Our three year old foster child has just started having dry nights! We are so thrilled, it's such a milestone and we definitely want to encourage this... and motivate his little sister to start toilet training, too!
shellpat
basic manners are a must, respectful of others and being able to tidy up after themselves are all things I teach my kids
ozstarlett
I want to encourage values more than actions. Teach them to try the best, encourage others, be honest, show respect and help other people.
Beetleboots
I have three sons. To be there own person, not feel the need to follow others under peer pressure, treat women with respect, and manners.
pidgeonpair
The Goals I was taught by my parents that rewards come with hard work and perserverance, that its hard to save and wait for things but when you do, the reward is sweet and good. That is what learning is all about
gr82nou
We promote kindness in our home and the ideals of the golden rule although we may not use that term. Thinking of others means no cruelty, no rudeness or lack of respect. We also cherish our children's short sojourn in childhood and try to keep adult entertainment and worries away.
