Hi, DS is leaving current daycare soon, I would like to get a small present for the girls who have looked after him as they have done a really good job. There are 3 of them, I think in their early to mid twenties. Any ideas?

If they are young girls I would go with either a bottle of wine each (or to share) or chocolates
everyone gives childcare workers chocolates, dont get me wrong its appriciated and nice to recieve but gets a bit routine
as a worker i have recieved, chocolates, booze, candles, body shop stuff, lots of hand made things like jewellery, knitted things like bears ect, sewen things like bags, framed artwork, movie vouchers, dinner vouchers, lots of little knick knacks

Coming from a chocoholic childcare worker...please, no chocolate.
Some of the nicer gifts I have gotten are little kits with an eraser, sharpener, mini stapler etc, a willow tree angel, movie vouchers, gift vouchers etc.
If you are going to get a body care product please get a quality one.
Otherwise, a lovely card alone is always appreciated

At Christmas time when they are bombarded by choccies I give Care packages (buy a chicken for a community in 3rd world country sort of thing) and they have always been appreciated. These have generally been for older child care workers, though. Plants are always a nice thing to receive as well.
I have given personalised mugs and homemade fudge (made with DS' help of course) which was nicer last year than the basket of stuff the year before. I usually get them a little easer egg basket too.
