Hi! Just wondering if there is anyone who has had 2 kids really close together since the ppl scheme started? And if so can you claim ppl for 2nd child despite not having served the 10 months in the past 13 work test? I know if we go for a close age gap again that I can get mat leave from my work ad I haven't broken contract, but dunno bout the govt one.

You would have to claim the baby bonus.

You can claim PPL. My boys are 17 months apart and I only returned to work for 5 months before having DS2. I worked 2 days a week for those 5 months but had still been continuously employed while I was on mat leave so that counted towards the 10 months I assume.

Official maternity leave from work counts as work for CCR purposes, so i imagine it is the same for PPL.

Any paid leave you receive counts towards the 10 months, as long as you dont have a period of greater than 8 weeks without pay.
This includes annual leave, sick leave, long service leave and paid maternity leave.
I only returned to work for 5 months and still qualified for ppl as I was receiving paid maternity leave from my employer for 11 months prior to my return.

im eligible just! I went back to work to do the 10 keeping in touch days from september 2011, then went back full time in november and Im due with #2 in August, I just make it as I was on unpaid leave whilst on maternity leave. Centrelink has approved my request anyway and Im guessing they had my details on file?
