Hi

I went to my dating scan about 10 days ago and found out there were 2 sacs however no babies inside. 1 zac only developed for about 5 wks, the other zac is still growing however with no sign of a baby.

A week later we went back for a second scan and it was all confirmed again and also HCG dropped from 46,000 to 43,000 in a 48 hr time frame.

On Monday I have to go to hosptial to have a D&C as I still have no signs of bleeding, this whole time.

Im really scared for Monday however realise I need to have the procedure to start feeling better. On Saturday Im actually going overseas for 1 month holiday and hoping I can enjoy my break and not be too upset. DH is very supportive and loving. We had been trying for 5 months and he is very keen to start trying asap.

Its so hard because I dont know how Im going to emotional feel after Monday. I feel empty however trying to understand there wasn't anything I could do to change the situation.

Just wondering for others that have had M/C - how long did it take you to recover? did it take long to stop bleeding after a D&C?

I asked my doctor next time we get pregnant can there be more test done? she said no, its the normal bloods then the 8 wk dating scan. Im very nervous to think this can happen again and without any signs.
