I've been giving my 5-month old baby small amounts of baby food (2 teaspoons) since she was 4-months old and she really loves the different puree's and baby rice but when should i be giving her mostly solid food and less bottles as she seems to prefer the solid food??

Milk(breast or formula) is meant to be the primary source of nutrition until 12months. I was told milk should be offered first until around 8-9months -so if bub is hungry give a bottle, then if still hungry give solids, or wait an hours or so and give solids. From around 9 months start to offer solids first......this is in an ideal world - all three of mine were different with how and when they had solids.

You will find over time your baby will gradually have less bottles and more solids. IME it was never a decision on my part about what to do.
