Like all good parenting horror stories, this one begins with kids being left alone for a while.
And ends with a bathroom smeared with almost the entirety of a professional makeup artist's kit.
In the clip, Jaylynn can be heard crying as she picks up discarded eye shadow pallets and tries to clean a sink full of broken lipsticks and fake eyelashes.
Not contained to the vanity and sink, the light coloured carpet can also be seen stained with bright pink and green blotches.
Captioning the clip 'This is what I get for being nice mommy. I'm a makeup artist so yeah I was a little distraught see my hard earned money in the sink', it has since gone viral and has been viewed more than 967,000 times.
A follow up video, since viewed 11.1 million times, shows more of the destruction, with only a few items spared, as Jaylynn scoops the remnants into a rubbish bag.
Joking in the caption that 2020 had thrown one final curveball at her, writing: 'I got the call right at midnight, 2020 said 'real quick before I go... Does anyone know how to get shadow out of carpet?'
"Was the night of New Year's Eve and my kids were effen busy. All of my makeup and skincare in the sink, destroyed," she says in the clip.
"This is so heartbreaking. My heart is broken right now. Spare the rod, spoil the child... now I understand what they meant."
Many TikTok users joked this was another reason why they did not want kids.
"Oh, nah, thanks for reminding me to take my birth control today," said one.
"Put them back. Or set them free. They (sic) in God's hands now," another joked.
"My tubes tied themselves watching this. I'm sorry for your loss," one user added.
Others shared their comisserations at the heartbreaking scene.
"I'm impressed at how calm you are throughout this video," wrote one, "Anyone else thinking about how much money literally went down the drain?" said another.
Others suggested the mum should make the kids clean the mess, and work to pay her back the money she would have lost.
