Fantastic Furniture is recalling its popular Worx dining chair after at least two toe amputations and lacerations.

The first reported incident involved young dad Mark Bulman, who tripped over a Worx chair in his kitchen in April. The leg of the chair sliced off the middle toe of his left foot.

The latest incident involved an 11-year-old boy, who lost a third of his toe when he tripped over the chair last weekend.

The ACCC has stated that "the tapering of the inside bottom of the chair legs may lead to an entrapment or laceration hazard" and has backed the recall of more than 100,000 Worx dining chairs, which sold for $39 each.

The chairs were on sale from August 2014 to November 2015.

What to do if you own any Worx chairs

According to a statement on the ACCC website, Fantastic Furniture will supply free plug insert kits to customers, which will make the chairs safe for use

Customers can visit the store where they purchased the chair to pick up the free insert kit, email, or contact your local Fantastic Furniture store.

Fantastic Furniture will also accept returns for a full refund.
