A phil&teds pram has been voluntarily recalled amid fears a faulty hinge might cause injury to users.

Strollers subject of the recall are Dash v5 buggy models within the serial number range PTRV0715/0746 - PTRV0815/2525, purchased between August 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.

According to the Product Safety Recalls Australia website it has been discovered the main hinge of the stroller may loosen with use.

"If the hinge becomes loose, it may pose a pinching risk to users," the notice on the website reads.

"Consumers should cease using the buggy and register online for a free replacement frame."

Owners of the recalled strollers can visit the phil&teds website to register for a free replacement frame.

"The voluntary recall comes following three non-injury warranty reports worldwide, all where damage to the main hinge - resulted in a potential pinch hazard. No pinching has occurred," a statement on the phil&teds website reads.

"All users with a dash v5 buggy, in the above serial number range, can register to receive a free replacement buggy frame.

"We need to get these frames replaced, so your return to us is very important."

The replacement frame will come with instructions on how to fit it. A video on the phil&teds website also shows the step by step process.
