My Kmart kettle is still going strong after four solid years of daily use, but in the words of one commenter on the Kmart Facebook page, it's a bit like, *smashes kettle and toaster* "Honey!!. ...we need to go to Kmart. The kettle and toaster....broke themselves."

When the product images above dropped on Facebook earlier this week, the reaction was swift and strong. There is no passion quite like that of Kmart devotees and in just a few hours, the post has racked up more than 1,200 comments and 1,600 likes.

These beauties will be flying off the shelves at just $39 for the 1.7 litre kettle and $45 for the four-slice toaster.

And while the elegant grey appliances with on-trend wooden trim will undoubtedly be the most popular because they're neutral, the retro pink kettle and toaster - both $39 - should also do well for those embracing millennial pink in the homes.

Some other eye-catching looks from the range can be seen below. Of note is the stunning oval mirror and black floor lamp - both $39.

And in another revelation found on Kmart Mums Facebook page, don't despair of ever getting a cost-effective bedhead if you have a bed that's larger than a queen-size.

The Kmart grey velvet bedhead ($79) comes in two pieces, so simply buy two queen bedheads and pop three pieces out of the four together and bam, you have a bedhead suitable for a king or super king-sized bed.
