Children of the 80s listen up - Baby-Sitters Club books are on sale at ALDI this week and it's resulting in some serious nostalgia.

ALDI Mum gave us the hot tip on Facebook on Tuesday night, sharing that not only is the beloved set available, the books are only $3.99.

As one excited commenter noted on the post, that's a whole lot cheaper than they were when we were growing up!

According to the catalogue there are 8 classic titles to choose from:

  • Kristy's Big Day
  • Dawn and the Impossible Three
  • Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls
  • Claudia and Mean Janine
  • Boy-Crazy Stacey
  • Kristy's Great Idea
  • Mary Ann Saves the Day
  • The Truth About Stacey

Over on ALDI Mum's page, women have been sharing their memories of the series, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. At the time, author, Ann M. Martin commemorated the special occasion with a post to Facebook, thanking her "faithful readers" for embracing Kirsty and her friends.

"Omg omg it's happening!!" one eager fan wrote. "We're going back in time!"

If you're dying to share the series with your own kids but you're wondering if it's - ahem - a little dated, you can rest easy. In 2009, for their 25th Anniversary edition, some of the novels were updated to "modernise" the series - although Martin decided against giving the characters mobile phone.

Got the theme song stuck in your head now like I do? Don't fight it. Crank it up and say hello to your friends.
