You would think having a mega-star like Adele as your mum would be a pretty cool thing.
But for Adele's nine-year-old son Angelo, it's the complete opposite!
The singer has opened up to Vogue about her son's embarrassment when he is asked by people at school about his famous mum.
In the magazine's November 2021 cover story Adele shared, "There were a few older girls who chased him around [at school], asking if I was his mum. He was just like, 'I think her name's Adele, yeah. My mum. My mum.'".
Apparently her son isn't to fussed by his mum's fame and doesn't really ever see her in that light, "I'm not 'Adele' to him".
Angelo doesn't quite realise just how famous his mum is and doesn't like being asked about it, "He felt like he was being bullied because they were annoying him. I said, 'That's not bullying. Just say, 'Yeah, she's my mum. She wiped my ass!'"
He does however know who Taylor Swift is, and on many occasions Adele has been upstaged by her in Angelo's eyes.
In 2018, Adele took Angelo to see his favourite artist Taylor Swift in concert and he was beyond impressed.
"His jaw dropped. I got really annoyed! I was like, 'Excuse me! This is what I do, you know?' " said Adele. "He said, 'When we go on tour, should I have a seat next to me with Taylor Swift's name on it for Taylor to come?'"
Adele shares her son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, and revealed in the interview that she ended their marriage as it "just wasn't right for me any more".
While it was difficult at first, the two are still very close and she describes him as the "perfect person to have my child with".
In fact, Angelo's father even moved into a house on the same estate as Adele to be close to his son.
Adele recently confirmed that after six years she is finally set to release new music, with a single 'Easy On Me' coming out on October 15. The single is the first to be released from her upcoming forth album which includes songs she specifically wrote for her son Angelo.
"I wanted to put it on the album to show Angelo what I expect him to treat his partner like, whether it be a woman or a man or whatever", she said in her interview.
