Actress Alicia Silverstone has raised a few eyebrows over the years with her sometimes controversial parenting techniques. Now the 43-year-old has revealed she still takes baths with her nine-year-old son Bear Blu.
Silverstone was discussing her quarantine routine and vegan lifestyle with The New York Times when she said she baths with her son.
"My son and I take baths together, and when he's not with me, I take a bath and that really feels nourishing and comforting," the Clueless star said.
She also added that she's been focused on finding activities to do with Bear Blu like jumping on the mini trampoline, dancing or playing with the skipping rope.
Silverstone shares Bear Blu with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki. The pair separated in 2018 after 20 years together and 13 years of marriage.
Earlier, Silverstone credited her and her son's vegan diet as the reason she has no behavioural issues with him.
"There's a calmness to him, a centredness that he's not off the charts. I don't have to yell or scream or, like, discipline," she said. "None of that is necessary.
"All I have to do is say, 'oh, Bear, no thank you,' and he goes, 'OK, mum'."
The Golden Globe nominee also said she's taken the time during lockdown to take care of herself and focus on her health.
"I always bring everything back to diet," she told The NY Times. "When I don't eat well, I don't feel well, and then my moods go all over the place."
The mother-of-one said she's been enjoying cooking, going for daily long walks, practicing yoga, writing in a journal and meditation whilst in isolation.
