Supermodel Cindy Crawford is putting her 10-year-old daughter's burgeoning modelling career on hold, insisting she's "too young" for the catwalk.
The iconic beauty gave Kaia her blessing to model for Versace's new children's range in January but she appears to have reconsidered her decision after the youngster posed in a leather jacket and miniskirt for the Italian couturier.
Now Crawford has told her daughter she'll have to wait a few more years before she can get serious about entering the world of high fashion.
"At this point, she's too young to pursue a career," she says.
"There aren't even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she's 17 and wants to try it, of course, what can I say?"
Crawford, who was discovered by a photographer when she was just 16 years old, was delighted after Kaia landed her first job with Versace and said at the time, "I'm so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign. I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni Versace and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace."
At this point, she's too young to pursue a career.
