Teenagers often have a wonderfully-developed sense of humour, and it appears Kate Hudson's son Ryder is no different.
Kate posted a family video on Instagram with partner Danny Fujikawa holding daughter Rani Rose, 11 months, Bingham "Bing" Hawn, 8, and Ryder Russell, 15, wishing Kate's brother Oliver Hudson a happy birthday. Oliver turned 43 on the weekend.
Ryder poked fun at his mum on Instagram in an amusing comment.
"Mom you didn't ask me if you could post this," Ryder wrote, adding a rolling eye emoji followed immediately by a laughter emoji to indicate his intended tongue-in-cheek tone.

Mum Kate responded with a heart face, tuning in quickly to the joke.
Others missed the memo.
"LOL, I'm 33 and my mom still "embarrasses" me without asking. I know I'll be the same with my three girls their whole lives long. It's all outa love! Y'all sounded good, though. Honest!"
"No frets handsome... your hair was on point!"
The funny response from Ryder is no doubt a play on the now infamous retort Apple Martin posted on a photo her mother Gwyneth Paltrow shared. The pair were pictured on a ski lift on March 25.
The teenager commented, "Mom we have discussed this. You may not post anything without my consent." It sparked widespread discussions about consent and the social media behaviour of parents.
Paltrow responded, "You can't even see your face!" and has still not removed the image nearly six months later.
The interaction between Kate and Ryder is a heartwarming glimpse of the rapport between mother and son.
Ryder was seven-and-a-half when his next sibling Bingham was born, so the pair undoubtedly share an extra special bond from the many years he was an only child.
