Rick Moranis who played Wayne Szalinski, the dad in 'Honey, I shrunk the Kids', disappeared from the spotlight after the death of his wife in 1991. Finding it too difficult to raise his two children and travel for movies, Moranis told USA Today, "I took a little bit of a break. And the little bit of a break turned into a longer break, and then I found that I really didn't miss it." In 2005, Moranis released a comedy album called 'The Agoraphobic Cowboy', which was nominated for a Grammy. Two years ago he released another album called 'My Mother's Brisket & Other Love Songs'. As for returning to the big screen, Moranis said in podcast, Bullseye with Jesse Thorn, "I'm not interested in doing anything I've done in the past."
