Ingredients
- 6 sheets plain puff pastry
- 1 bottle Leggo pizza sauce (we use the herb/garlic flavour)
- 500 grams finely shredded tasty cheese (Colby works well, too)
- 500 grams diced bacon
- 1 bottle grated parmesan cheese, optional sprinkle, as much as desired over puff pastry before rolling
These irresistible, tiny bacon and cheese scrolls are the most requested treat in my house. Easy to make and impossible to stop at just one. This large batch will be lucky to last a few days.
Method
Lay out one sheet of puff pastry, thawed. Spread pizza sauce over, sprinkle some diced bacon and shredded Tasty cheese to cover. If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle that over. Roll up like a log, and slice.
Place slices on a pan lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated at 175 C for 8 to 10 minutes, (more or less time may be needed depending on your oven) until the scrolls are a nice, golden colour.
Cool and enjoy. If there are any left, they can be stored in an airtight container. Use in 2 to 3 days.
